Book Synopsis
Fong Yang, the youngest Uncle Emperor of the Great Zhou, a cold-faced Regent with immense power, and a formidable Grand Marshal whose presence commands respect across the land. He is known for his extreme nobility and strength, yet people only see his ruthless demeanor, unaware that he would sacrifice everything to protect those he cares for.
The woman named Jiang Xi is the object of his utmost affection; he indulges her every whim and obeys her every command.
However, Feng Yang's eldest daughter, Jiang Xi, harbors nothing but disdain for him. She even assists the scoundrel and the shameless woman in manipulating Fong Yang through their favoritism.
It wasn't until she was stabbed by the scoundrel and the shameless woman, with flames engulfing the royal residence and bodies strewn everywhere, that Fong Yang remained steadfastly by her side, shielding her from all danger.
Only in her final moments did Jiang Xi recognize his true heart and realize how blind she had been.
"Fong Yang, I have brought ruin upon such a noble and strong man like you. If it weren't for her, you would never have met such a fate."
"If there is an afterlife, and if heaven grants me another chance with you, Fong Yang, I will no longer scheme against you. I will dedicate my life to atone for my sins!"
