Book Synopsis
The rich coffee splashed onto the million-dollar Bespoke Suit, and I was so startled that my soul nearly left my body, yet I didn’t receive the scolding I had anticipated. He simply looked down at me, his gaze deep enough to draw someone in, with a hint of an imperceptible smile at the corner of his mouth. “Want to act?”
I nodded as if grasping a lifeline, and in the next moment, he handed me a business card, his tone calm as if discussing the weather. “Come audition for my production in three months.”
I thought it was a stroke of luck, but little did I know it was a descent into an abyss. Later, I would learn that the tenderness in his eyes was reserved for only one person, and that person…
“Your emotional expression in today’s scene wasn’t quite on point; your gaze needs to be softer.” He stood behind the monitor, his eyes focused intently on me on the screen, his voice deep and magnetic, laced with a subtle hint of indulgence.
But I clearly remembered the rumors from a few days ago about him and Rising Star; in the photos, they appeared close, like a couple.
