Book Synopsis
Vivi wanted to become as beautiful as an Aurora and as slender as a lightning bolt. However, being a South China Sea spirit turtle, it was a luxury even to think about shedding her shell for a nap.
The tortoise shell was heavy; while it provided safety when she withdrew into it during danger, who could bear the burden of carrying a house every day? She wasn't a human needing to save up for a home.
With a heart that longed to soar like a Dapeng bird across the world, she was trapped in the life of a house slave, destined for a lifetime of sorrow and confinement. Once she realized the cruelty of her fate, Vivi fell into deep sadness, often gazing at the moon in the sky, letting her sorrow flow like a river.
However, this did not help her because if she wanted to become beautiful, she first needed to have a woman's body.
So, while Jiangcheng was away on business, she climbed in front of his computer, powered it on, went online, and placed an order at a strange Taobao store: "I am a turtle; I have fallen in love with a man as free as the wind."
After thinking for a moment, she deleted the phrase "as free as the wind."
The Taobao Shop Owner replied: "Dear, you really know how to joke. So, shall we meet at a café outside or at your home?"
Vivi looked at her turtle legs and replied: "At home, please. Just make sure no one sees you when you come over because I'm worried my neighbors might mistake you for a thief."
