Book Synopsis
At Cangnan Second High School, the homeroom teacher pointed at the two transfer students. "Everyone, welcome our new friends!"
One of them, a boy wearing a golden headband and calling himself Sun Wukong, stood alongside another boy whose eyes were covered by a black veil. The crowd erupted in astonishment.
"The Monkey King, Sun Wukong, who caused a ruckus in Heaven five hundred years ago!" The golden-headed boy grinned widely, prompting laughter from the audience.
"Can you live up to the name of such a deity?" A skeptical voice rang out. Sun Wukong puffed out his chest and declared, "This is the name given to me by my master!"
An old, yellowed copy of "Journey to the West" was handed to Sun Wukong. As he gazed at the familiar illustrations within, his expression grew serious.
"So everyone knows I, Old Sun!" He smiled broadly, but no one noticed the fleeting sadness in his eyes.
After school, a foul stench filled the alleyway. Sun Wukong's heart tightened; wasn't this just like a scene from "I Learn to Slay Gods in the Mental Hospital"?
Two devil-faced men appeared before the crowd. Sun Wukong drew his Ghost-faced Man and positioned it protectively in front of everyone. "Want to take a nap? Bring it on!"
With a swing of Ghost-faced Man, one devil-faced man fell to the ground. The classmates cheered excitedly, "The Monkey King is so cool!"
The class monitor looked on with admiration. "He's even more powerful than the Sun Wukong in 'Journey to the West'!"
More and more devil-faced men emerged, but Sun Wukong unleashed his Rulai Divine Palm, instantly turning them into mush. However, Lin Qiye was nowhere to be found.
