The next evening, Sister-in-law used the skincare products I had given her, and after a night, her face was covered in pimples. Moreover, both of her cheeks were oozing pus. She angrily knocked on my door.

My mother-in-law ignored her, and I focused on the fire, trying hard not to laugh.
I remembered that in my previous life, when Sister-in-law was pregnant, she had asked me and Lin Yu for money to help her brother marry. We had turned her down, citing our own financial struggles. My sister-in-law shot me a glare. "The meeting gift? It's long gone."
I smiled and said nothing.
In the end, my mother-in-law left with her two sons, grumbling all the way.
"Ugh, not a penny to spare!"
"I thought they were rich. They can't even lend us a little money—how embarrassing!"
After she left, my mother-in-law glared fiercely at Wang Shuang. If it weren't for Wang Shuang being pregnant, the two of them would surely have gotten into a fight.
