Long Yuan had been kidnapped, and the news spread like a storm throughout the East Sea and West Sea.
Rescuers came in waves, but only Yu Xiaoman made her way through effortlessly, easily absorbing or cleverly subduing the various monsters she encountered.
This was all thanks to a peerless treasure in her possession—the Invincible Golden Box that could attract all beings at will. Coupled with the spell devised by Tai Shang Lao Jun, who could possibly stop her?
The West Sea Shrimp Soldiers guarding the entrance watched in fear as the box in her hand emitted a strange glow. One by one, they turned pale and hurriedly scurried inside, quickly locking the grand doors of the West Sea Dragon Palace with several heavy locks, sealing it tightly and leaving no gaps.
Yu Xiaoman glanced at the box in her hand and then at the tightly shut door. She mused to herself that this door was likely not transformed by a fairy, making it impossible to collect; she would have to think of another way.
Meanwhile, the shrimp soldiers peeked through the cracks of the door. They saw her calmly pull out a homemade loudspeaker from her waist, place it to her mouth, and then shout with all her might, “Dragon inside, listen up! You are surrounded. Do not resist futilely; quickly release Long Yuan, and we will treat you leniently.”
The West Sea Dragon Prince, who was mixing medicinal powder at that moment, couldn’t help but burst into laughter. A large spoonful of white powder unexpectedly sprayed all over Long Yuan’s face, who was already stirred up by Yu Xiaoman’s appearance.
After waiting for a while without any response, Yu Xiaoman raised the loudspeaker again and shouted at the top of her lungs, “Dragon inside, listen carefully! Your treasure is in my hands. If you want it back, trade it for Long Yuan. I’ll give you a tea break’s time—one hand for the treasure and one hand for Long Yuan. Do we have an agreement? If so, just make a sound.”
In less than half a tea break’s time, the grand doors of the dragon palace slowly opened a small crack, and a sharp little shrimp head cautiously peeked out. It quickly squeaked an “ack” before retreating like a startled rabbit.
As Yu Xiaoman pondered what this obscure “ack” could possibly mean, the West Sea Dragon Prince emerged slowly with Long Yuan.
“A Yuan, don’t be afraid! I’m here to save you.”
Yu Xiaoman's eyes sparkled like stars twinkling in the night sky, filled with determination and joy.
Long Yuan kept his head down, seemingly ignoring her words, his body trembling slightly.
The West Sea Dragon Prince patted Long Yuan's shoulder lazily and said, "Hurry up, go get my treasure back."
To be honest, it wasn't that he had kidnapped Long Yuan; rather, Long Yuan was worried that he would cause trouble during the wedding and insisted on following him all the way back to the West Sea. He kept whispering in his ear, "You are not a broken sleeve, you really aren't," which drove him nearly insane.
If he hadn't wanted to take this opportunity to retrieve his treasure, he would have thrown Long Yuan back to the East Sea long ago.
Seeing Long Yuan slowly approaching her, Yu Xiaoman honored her verbal promise and unhesitatingly tossed the box toward him.
Just as Long Yuan reached her, he suddenly went limp and collapsed against her shoulder, breathing unevenly as he gasped, "We need to go."
Yu Xiaoman quickly supported his head and focused on his face, stunned. "A Yuan, why is your face so red?"
"Go!" Long Yuan shouted urgently, his voice tinged with an uncontrollable desperation. He reached out and tightly wrapped his arms around her waist, leaping out of the water like a whirlwind.
At that moment, they had no time to return to the East Sea, but they absolutely could not stay in the West Sea.
After playing with his treasure for long enough, the West Sea Dragon Prince finally remembered Long Yuan. However, when he looked up, he found that not even a trace of the dragon was left.
"Oh no, Long Yuan accidentally fell victim to my newly developed desire-rejecting half-hearted charm... this..."
He paused for a moment before a smirk crept onto his face as he raised an eyebrow and chuckled. "That girl got lucky."
