"Boss, drink slowly~" 0
"Okay, sweetheart. Here, have a sip." 0
"Boss! How can you be so biased? Don't forget about me..." 0
Brother Ba held a woman in his left arm while extending a wine glass to another woman on his right. He sat on the sofa, his face flushed, clearly enjoying himself. The two women were dressed provocatively, charmingly entwined around Brother Ba. 0
Just as Brother Ba was about to pull the woman on his left onto his lap, a tentative knock came from outside the door. 0
"Wait a minute, I'm busy!" Brother Ba's excitement was abruptly interrupted as he shouted toward the door. 0
"It's me, I have urgent business." The voice of Liang Muqi came from outside. 0
"Damn it, you always ruin my fun." Brother Ba signaled the two women to go into the inner room for a moment and called out, "Come in." 0
Liang Muqi cautiously pushed the door open and immediately spotted a woman's coat hanging over Brother Ba's chair, quickly deducing what he had been doing. 0
After gathering his thoughts, Liang Muqi stepped forward and said, "Our steel storage is running low." 0
"So? Do you have any solutions? Isn't this something the logistics team should report to me?" It was clear from Brother Ba's tone that he was very annoyed. 0
"Oh?" Liang Muqi smiled and sat down in the chair opposite Brother Ba. "They think I'm easier to talk to than you, so they asked me to relay this." 0
"Well, they certainly came up with that idea." Brother Ba ran his fingers through his hair. "If you're willing to speak on their behalf, it means you must have your own needs too." 0
Without basic construction materials, even if he had countless blueprints for high-tech equipment development, Liang Muqi felt powerless. However, to obtain materials, he would have to seek help from Viper's people, and how could Viper's thugs possibly use legitimate means to acquire these things? 0
Liang Muqi only mentioned this out of hope; although he had been labeled a traitor and murderer, he was still a scientist who had made decisions beyond ordinary understanding. If his proposal would harm society, it would be better... 0
"Indeed. Do you know about City A's SYG Steel Manufacturing Group? It's a private enterprise listed among the Fortune 500 companies. Go talk to their Keira and see if anything can be done." 0
"Pfft." Brother Ba scoffed and laughed heartily, "You're still too soft-hearted, Old Liang! Have you forgotten about our super weapons?" 0
"But..." 0
Although Liang Muqi knew Brother Ba would respond this way, just thinking about the 'killing machine' Lu Sha that was supposed to be a mere distraction but ended up being successfully enhanced weighed heavily on his mind. 0
"We don't need to put others in danger just to get supplies, do we? There's no need for that. As long as no one gets killed, even just brandishing an unloaded gun at them would suffice." 0
"No, no, no, Doctor. This is excellent real-world experience for her." 0
Brother Ba cleared his throat and deliberately blocked the coat hanging on the back of his chair with his head. "Do you know how many desperate rogues have chosen to bow down and seek my protection since this organization was established? What I'm saying is that none of this steel is suitable for genetic modification experiments; it's been six years since we've been surviving in this godforsaken wilderness waiting for our first successful modified person!" 0
"Ugh..." Liang Muqi grimaced in disgust. "Have any of those steel suppliers ever criticized your logic? Without stirring up trouble first, it’s hard to come up with such a long string of nonsense." 0
"Bang!" 0
Brother Ba's temper flared as he slammed his hand on the table and stood up, pointing at Liang Muqi. "You'd better stop teaching me how to do my job; don't forget where you are now—show some respect." 0
"Are you daring me?" Liang Muqi crossed his legs defiantly. He knew very well his value to Viper. 0
Brother Ba was left speechless and had to swallow back what he wanted to say, letting out an exasperated huff through his nose. 0
"Anyway! I'm sending Lu Sha on a mission! To train her, I've already given her forty percent of the chips meant for trading with aliens; what's wrong with giving her a little test?" 0

"Chips? Let her practice?" Liang Muqi leaned forward. 0

"Hey." Brother Ba turned his head away, casually explaining, "Go to the border and catch a few smugglers, or specifically target those who deal in black market goods—black on black, right?" 0

At this moment, Liang Muqi realized too late that he wanted to regret his decision. "How many has she killed...?" 0

"Just... three or four, I suppose." Brother Ba seemed to see through Liang Muqi's thoughts and deliberately lowered the number. 0

In that instant, Liang Muqi felt an unprecedented sense of pain. He took a deep breath and couldn't help but shake his head. 0

"So you all deceived me, didn't you? Your main focus isn't on using alien resources to create heavy weapons; it has always been about genetic development and enhancement on humans. This morally reprehensible act, right? We both know that time is running out for Earth, which is why you revealed your energy reserves to me under the pretense of having me help you modify the weapons given to you by aliens. In reality, you haven't provided me with the promised ample energy for extensive research; instead, you've used my presence for human experimentation, right?" 0

"That's right, Doctor. You're not just smart." Brother Ba admitted. "War begins with people and will ultimately end with people. I believe that no matter how powerful the weapon, it pales in comparison to the potential we have yet to develop. This Lu Sha is a perfect example." 0

At the same time. 0

Since Lu Sha killed for the first time, Brother Ba's attitude towards her had changed dramatically. He even specially arranged a room for Lu Sha to use for her daily life, equipped with a television and a game console, but she was not allowed to go outside freely. 0

The slight freedom came at a cost: Lu Sha had to cooperate with the inhumane so-called training prepared by Brother Ba. Every two days, she would be called to the training room where Brother Ba would release a captive for her to slaughter. 0

This was undoubtedly a lifelong mental torment for Lu Sha—she didn't want to become a killing machine, but for survival, she had no choice. 0

But time is indeed a strange thing. At first, every time Lu Sha killed someone, she would cry uncontrollably and only acted out of desperation. 0

Gradually, Lu Sha realized that once a hostage was brought in, they were bound to die; even if she didn't take action herself, those thugs would. They were merely tools for her training... 0

"Sizzle—" 0

"Ah!" 0

The comb got caught in her tangled red hair and wouldn't budge; the pain at her roots made Lu Sha gasp and snap back to reality. 0

Since her first kill, she could clearly remember the faces of every hostage who died beneath her Chain Spear—the blood gushing from their mouths and their desperate screams... 0

And that face resembling her adoptive father's smile—the dead face smeared with blood—was like an ink painting forever etched in Lu Sha's terrified heart, smiling, smiling... 0

"Ugh!" 0

Frustrated and restless, Lu Sha stood up and kicked away the wooden stool she was sitting on. Aiming at her reflection in the mirror with her Chain Spear, she shot! "Clang!" The mirror shattered into pieces. 0

The tip of the spear distorted Lu Sha's reflection beyond recognition while the surrounding cracks barely showcased her own terrifying appearance as her chest heaved violently. 0

"Thud!" 0

"Thud!" 0

"Weren't we done training yesterday?" After retracting her Chain Spear, thinking she was about to go back to "hell training," Lu Sha impatiently looked at the door and shouted. 0

"No, you misunderstood." Brother Ba had already arrived outside Lu Sha's resting room, listening to the faint sound of glass shards falling inside. "Tomorrow morning at eight o'clock, come to the training room door. It's not training; I need to take you out for some fresh air. As for the mission... I'll explain later." 0

"Hey!" Thinking that returning to society was still far off, Lu Sha suddenly had an idea. "What a great opportunity!" 0

The next day. 0

Keira was a mixed-race individual; her mother was British while her father was local to City A. After her father's death, she inherited his estate and continued the family’s long-standing steel business. As one of the top companies among the nation's five hundred largest enterprises, Keira was also deeply invested in ensuring its prosperity. 0

"What’s going on?! Do you not regard me as the CEO or what? Get that order back within three days, or don’t even think about staying here!" 0

However, in the upper levels of this luxurious glass building, Keira's reprimanding voice could be heard throughout the office building. The reason was simple: a subordinate had foolishly canceled a large order without his consent. 0

On the other end of the phone, the person was nervously agreeing. Keira thought he would hang up early, but after waiting for a long time, he still hadn’t. 0

Keira was puzzled and was about to hang up when a voice came from the other side: "Mr. Kai, it seems there’s something unusual downstairs." 0

"Unusual?" Keira paused for a moment and walked to the window to look down, only to see several people in black coats entering without security permission, clearly heading for the elevator! 0

Outside the company, four or five black SUVs were parked facing the entrance of the building, and the people inside were armed. 0

"Viper!" Keira exclaimed in shock. He had no idea what mistake he had made to provoke them. Gunfire immediately echoed throughout the building. 0

Two of Keira's bodyguards had already arrived at his office and said, "Boss, there’s an emergency. Please come with us immediately. The elevator is no longer safe; we will escort you to a helicopter for evacuation." 0

At that moment, a hovercraft was hovering beside the building, observing the situation. 0

The Viper members attempted to seize the elevator directly. Brother Ba looked through the glass and saw Keira on the twenty-first floor, already getting ready to leave. 0

"It’s her turn now," Brother Ba said to a subordinate beside him. 0

The rear door of the cabin opened, and Lu Sha, dressed in black combat gear, stood on the deck against the wind, looking at the nearby wall. She brushed her hair back and decisively jumped down. 0

"Huh?" The thugs stared in shock as Lu Sha jumped down without carrying anything on her back. 0

"No need; trust her," Brother Ba said. 0

After stabilizing herself and finding her balance, Lu Sha swiftly fired her Chain Spear in mid-air, driving its tip straight into the glass wall. She held onto the chain tightly as it carved a long deep mark into the wall before stopping. 0

Swinging through the air, Lu Sha kicked through the glass and landed in a room while retrieving her weapon. 0

"Hmm? Hey!" 0

This was supposed to be an empty power distribution room. However, inside were a couple who were getting cozy with each other. 0

In such a high place, someone suddenly jumping in from outside made them scream in fright. 0

Feeling somewhat awkward, Lu Sha quickly stood up without even looking at them and said, "Sorry for interrupting; please continue," before rushing out of the room. 0

Running into the hallway, Lu Sha realized she had no idea where the elevator was, but people seemed to be crowding toward one direction. 0

"Even at a time like this, they’re all pushing forward together; there must be stairs over there." 0

With no other choice, Lu Sha lowered her head and quickly ran upward through the crowd flowing in the opposite direction on the stairs. 0

"The target has reached the twenty-third floor; you’re still on the nineteenth floor. Think of something, Lu Sha," Brother Ba observed from behind glass on the hovercraft. 0

Although she could move quickly, most of the crowd was going against her flow; trying to speed up was futile. Sensing that time was running out, Lu Sha reached a corner and looked at the glass with an idea sparking in her mind. 0

"Crash!" 0

In front of everyone’s eyes, Lu Sha smashed through the glass and flew into mid-air while turning around to fire her Chain Spear. Under Lu Sha's mental command, sharp hooks extended from both sides of its gunpoint. The pickaxe-shaped Chain Spear aimed at every third layer of light yellow concrete that appeared in between floors of the high-rise building, allowing her to hang suspended in mid-air! 0

Confirming she was secure, another mental command came from Lu Sha's mind as she began to ascend using her Chain Spear as a pivot point! 0

"Hehe, that worked perfectly!" Lu Sha was very pleased with her combo and quickly fired again to propel herself upward. With this method of rising two floors at a time, she soon caught up with Keira and others. 0

Two minutes later, Keira had reached the final floor; above her was the helipad. Suddenly, a bodyguard heard a sharp sound of glass shattering from behind, followed by hurried footsteps. Turning around, he saw Lu Sha sprinting towards them! 0

"Boss, you need to get up there!" 0

How could she have caught up when she was twenty-one floors below? There was no time to think; the two immediately opened fire on Lu Sha. Although they had undergone several training sessions, facing bullets made Lu Sha doubt her self-healing abilities. She bent her arms to shield her face and curled up. 0

The pain and resistance from the bullets made it difficult for Lu Sha to move. In desperation, she crashed through the door of a nearby room and jumped out of the window, just like she had done when she leaped from the orphanage. But this time it wasn't a suicide; she shot a pickaxe-shaped gun into the building's wall and swung across like a monkey holding onto vines, firing again and swinging away… 0

Finally reaching the helipad, an exhausted Keira arched her back, thinking she was safe. However, to her shock, someone emerged from below the helicopter—someone was flying up from below the building! 0

Through the helicopter's glass, Keira watched in disbelief as this person dashed forward, yanked open the cabin door without mercy, and dragged the pilot down to the ground, knocking him out with two punches. 0

"Ah!" Keira was completely stunned. 0

"Thinking of escaping?" Lu Sha decided to play the villain, tossing her red hair back as she approached Keira with two chain spears dragging behind her. 0

At that moment, the two bodyguards were entangled by Viper Thugs who had caught up with them, leaving Keira isolated and helpless. She immediately knelt down and pleaded, "Please don't kill me! I'll give you whatever you want!" 0

Unexpectedly, Lu Sha stepped forward without any intention of killing her. Instead, she leaned down and spoke softly, "Take me to where you parked your car and hand me the keys. I'll let you go." 0

On the hovercraft, Brother Ba shouted happily, "Great! She succeeded! Send someone to pick her up." 0

After all, with guns involved, Viper Organization members eventually took control of the company lobby. One team guarded the stairway while another secured the elevator, waiting for both women to come down. 0

The elevator display showed each floor descending until it reached the first floor; everyone assumed the doors would open. But instead, it went to the basement level. 0

"What’s going on?" Everyone was puzzled. 0

Keira led Lu Sha to a private parking area where a white luxury sedan and a black-and-gold supercar awaited. 0

"Which one do you want?" Keira asked timidly. 0

Lu Sha's keen eyes scanned quickly before confidently pointing at the supercar. "Of course, I want the coolest and fastest one." 0

After receiving the keys, even though she had never driven before, Lu Sha decided to take a chance. With the rear wing raised, she started the engine and slammed on the gas in the parking lot. The car scraped against the walls as it sped out of the garage. 0

Lu Sha had rarely even been in a car before; let alone having a driver's license. 0

"Hey! What about me?" Keira shouted in panic as she watched the car speed away. "That car has a continuously variable transmission; it's quite expensive! Oh no, my heart aches..." 0
