After the decisive battle with the Dark Force Leader, the world had temporarily returned to peace. However, both Allen and I knew that the real challenges were just beginning. Although the dark forces had been defeated, their remnants still lurked in the shadows, ready to rise again at any moment. Moreover, the dark power within me was not entirely stable; if not controlled properly, it could still cause destruction.
Therefore, we decided to stay at the Mage Guild for a while. On one hand, we needed to recuperate; on the other, we aimed to study how to fully master the dark power and transform it into a force for protecting the world.
With the help of the Mage Guild, I began to delve deeply into the knowledge of dark magic. I discovered that dark magic was not solely destructive; it could also be used for healing and protection—the key lay in how it was wielded.
I started experimenting with merging dark power with Light Power to create a brand new form of magic. This was a long and arduous process that required immense patience and effort.
Meanwhile, Allen also began to seriously study magical knowledge. Although he did not possess my innate talent for magic, he had an unwavering will and a strong sense of responsibility. He started learning how to use Holy Light Power to purify lands tainted by darkness.
After some time of hard work, both Allen and I experienced significant growth in our abilities. I successfully fused dark power with Light Power, creating a new spell that combined the strength of dark magic with the healing properties of Light Power. I named this spell "Guardian Light."
Allen also mastered the essence of Holy Light Power, which granted him powerful purification abilities capable of completely eradicating the corruption of dark forces.
With our newfound powers, we began addressing the lands ravaged by darkness, restoring their former beauty. We traveled to every corner affected by dark forces, using Guardian Light to cleanse corrupted lands and Holy Light Power to heal injured lives. Wherever we went, darkness receded, and light returned.
Not only did we save those harmed by dark forces, but we also helped them rebuild their homes and start anew. In our quest to save the world, Allen and I gradually became its guardians. We possessed not only great power but also kind and steadfast hearts.
We began to earn respect and affection from people; they no longer feared the dark forces because they understood that darkness could also be used for protection if wielded correctly. I was no longer seen as the feared Dark Witch; instead, I became a true hero—a guardian celebrated by all.
Throughout our journey of safeguarding the world, my bond with Allen deepened significantly. We supported and encouraged each other; we were not just comrades but lovers as well. Our love for one another and for this world we protected grew stronger each day.
We knew that the road ahead would still be fraught with challenges—dark forces might rise again, and new crises could emerge. But we would not fear or retreat because we believed that as long as we were together, we could overcome any difficulty and protect this world forever.
After completing our purification of the entire world, Allen and I decided to return to where we first met—the old cabin where we had endured countless trials together.
Standing before the cabin, looking at its worn appearance filled us with nostalgia.
"This is where we met," Allen said softly, his gaze towards me filled with tenderness.
"Yes, this is where it all began," I replied with a smile, my heart brimming with love.
Hand in hand, we stepped inside the cabin. Everything inside remained just as it was back then—the simple bed, the worn table, and all those things we had shared together.
We sat in the small cabin, reminiscing about all we had been through together—bittersweet moments, touching experiences, and sweet memories.
“Alice, I love you,” Alan suddenly said, his voice gentle and heartfelt.
“I love you too, Alan,” I replied with a smile, my heart brimming with happiness.
We embraced each other and kissed, feeling the warmth of our love enveloping us in that cozy cabin.
“Alan, will we always be together?” I looked into his eyes, asking earnestly.
“Of course, we will always be together,” Alan said firmly, his gaze filled with affection.
Together, we rebuilt the cabin, making it even cozier and more inviting.
We lived here, protecting this world and cherishing our love for one another. Occasionally, we would return to the places where we had once fought, gazing upon the land we had safeguarded.
We encountered those who had been harmed by dark forces in the past; they expressed their gratitude and respect to us.
We would tell them that the dark powers were not to be feared; as long as we had love and hope, we could overcome anything.
We led a peaceful and happy life, supporting each other until eternity.
I knew my story was not over; my journey would continue. But no matter what the future held, I would not be afraid because I knew Alan would always be by my side—there would always be love and hope.
I had once been the Dark Witch; now I was a Guardian.
