The atmosphere in the tunnel was tense, charged with an unyielding energy.
Upon realizing how unfriendly Lian Lao was towards him, Dongfang Hui's aura began to rise steadily, contrasting sharply with Lian Chongtang's fiery intensity.
The energy emanating from Dongfang Hui was a deep azure, flowing like water, undulating and resonating with a faint chime. In an instant, it summoned all the Pulse Energy in the cave, tearing and pulling it back and forth, ruthlessly cutting through the pressure exerted by Lian Chongtang's aura.
The two powerful energies clashed and tore at each other within the narrow confines of the corridor. Without any defensive measures, both sides quickly resorted to a brutal exchange of Pulse Energy. The confrontation appeared calm on the surface, yet concealed a deadly undercurrent.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The walls of the cave began to explode as the invisible Pulse Energy clashed, unable to withstand the force. The rocks shattered under the strain.
Seizing the moment, Dongfang Hui raised her hand and grasped at the air. The debris from the explosion coalesced into a massive stone club that hurtled towards Lian Chongtang.
Boom!
Lian Chongtang raised his armored fist, shattering the thick stone pillar with a resounding crash.
Immediately after, he launched a powerful punch at Dongfang Hui.
Dongfang Hui summoned an invisible barrier of energy that blazed with intensity but was momentarily halted by Lian Chongtang's strike. With a fierce grunt, Lian Chongtang pushed forward.
The invisible wall of Pulse Energy shattered under the force, and a massive fiery fist constructed from Pulse Energy surged towards Dongfang Hui.
Dongfang Hui lifted her hand; her seemingly delicate palm braced itself against the enormous fist that was much larger than her own!
Boom!
The air around Dongfang Hui surged violently, pouring out Pulse Energy.
Dongfang Hui took a half step back, letting out a muffled groan as she raised her head to look at Lian Chongtang.
"I have long heard that the Dongfang Family's Wuxiang Divine Fist is extraordinary. Today, witnessing it firsthand, it truly is remarkable!" Lian Chongtang thought to himself in astonishment. Dongfang Hui's current strength was just a hair's breadth away from that of a War God. Even though she was merely a Top War General now, her prowess was still leagues ahead of others in the same rank.
She was actually fighting him to a standstill. With such strength, if she were to enter the ranks of War Gods in the future, she would undoubtedly stand tall among her peers. At the very least, she would have her place among the front-runners.
"Lian Lao's advancement speed is indeed astonishing. It seems that this White Emperor Star Fruit has benefited him greatly!" Dongfang Hui coldly regarded Lian Chongtang, who had evidently improved his realm. He had just attempted to kill her; if she showed even the slightest sign of weakness, this old wolf would surely tear her apart without leaving a bone behind.
In a man's world, if a woman shows even a hint of weakness, she will inevitably be trampled into the ground.

Who in the Dongfang Family could stand against him then?
That missing and possibly dead Dongfang Qiubai? Or perhaps that Dongfang Jun who could only keep his life thanks to two guardians like Heibai Wuchang by his side?
In any case, if Dongfang Hui were to die, it would take the Dongfang Family at least ten or eight years to cultivate another talent. But ten or eight years was ample time for Lian Chongtang to achieve things he had never imagined before.

Dongfang Hui was taken aback. She had thought Lian Chongtang would let them leave, and she would naturally refuse. If it came to that, they could just fight it out.
But she never expected this old fox to propose teaming up to eliminate those with the Ian Ju.

With that, he shook his fist, the molten flames flickering ominously within the gauntlet, like a living creature, exuding an intimidating aura.
"Alright." Dongfang Hui was not intimidated by Lian Chongtang's gauntlet; she simply weighed the pros and cons. His proposal presented a win-win situation that posed no loss to her. After all, there were so many White Emperor Star Fruits hanging from the ceiling of the cave. Joining forces would yield greater benefits.
"Then let's get started!" Lian Chongtang turned around and threw a punch, the gauntlet launching forward like a cannonball. The two generals carrying Ian Ju reacted quickly, grabbing their weapons to counter.
Bang! Bang!
The energy shattered, and both men were sent flying, their tactical vests beneath their combat suits torn apart.
Dongfang Hui frowned at this display; Lian Chongtang was indeed ruthless. The two men clearly spewed blood from their mouths and noses as they crashed into the wall. Even if they survived, they would be left severely injured and unable to cultivate Pulse Energy again—an almost impossible feat.
"Kill!" Lian Chongtang commanded.
This order was also directed at Dongfang Hui. After some consideration, she realized that since they had formed an alliance, Lian Chongtang naturally expected her and her family members to take action. After all, a verbal alliance could easily be torn apart, but if they were to ally, it was essential to demonstrate sufficient sincerity.
Dongfang Hui lunged forward, his cloak billowing without wind as he unleashed a punch infused with azure energy. The impact was thunderous.
An Empowered Individual, caught off guard, glanced down at his abdomen in shock. In the next moment, his body shot out like a twisted cannonball, crashing into the cave wall with a resounding boom.
Dongfang Hui spun around and delivered another punch, sending two more figures flying, their bodies slamming against the wall with a sickening thud.
The sound of Dongfang Hui's fists striking flesh echoed like thunder in the air, creating an illusion that it was not merely a human's punch but something far more terrifying.
The remaining individuals, bearing the insignia of the Jian Ju, quickly retreated, their eyes fixed on Dongfang Hui and Lian Chongtang.
Wu Lao, who had been engaged in combat with Lian Shuyang, also withdrew to the side. Upon seeing Dongfang Hui and Lian Chongtang standing together, their predatory gazes locked onto him, he realized the gravity of the situation.
Members of the Dongfang Family and Lian Family halted in astonishment. The sight of Dongfang Hui and Lian Chongtang united made it clear what was unfolding.
With both the Dongfang Family and Lian Family joining forces, they held an undeniable advantage in both numbers and strength.
"Everyone stay calm! Hold your ground; reinforcements will arrive soon!" Wu Lao glanced at his dwindling group of allies—only a handful remained—and feigned composure to reassure his subordinates.
"Do not let them escape alive!" Lian Chongtang glared at them with hostility.
"Kill," Dongfang Hui commanded.
"Follow me!"
Wu Lao charged forward, wielding his jagged sword, but two figures resembling Heibai Wuchang immediately surrounded him. They circled around him, releasing strange Pulse Energy. Wu Lao swung his sword, engaging them in battle, but soon he realized their terrifying coordination. They executed a pincer attack, and as their peculiar palm techniques struck, Wu Lao felt a sharp pain in both his back and chest.
"Ouch!" Wu Lao exclaimed as he unleashed a powerful sword wave and quickly leaped backward to escape.
However, just as he jumped out of the cave entrance, a golden arrow shot after him.
Whoosh!
A shadow darted forward at high speed, crashing into the golden arrow and shattering it with a loud bang.
The shadow then swiftly retreated, landing in the hands of a slender woman adorned with an elegant garment. The object quickly coiled around her fair arm, transforming into a fluffy creature that resembled clothing, except for its pair of eyes that warily surveyed the surroundings.
After being rescued, Wu Lao descended rapidly to the ground. Ignoring his disheveled appearance, he pulled out a bottle of high-grade energy liquid and gulped it down. After recovering somewhat, he turned to face the two somber figures resembling Heibai Wuchang.
Those two were the Soul Devouring Duo from the Dongfang Family. They stared expressionlessly at Wu Lao as he regrouped with his companions before retreating back into the cave.
"To think Wu Lao would be forced into such a desperate situation," the woman with the elegant garment teased in a voice like ringing bells, her tone genuinely playful without any harshness.
"Hmph." Wu Lao grunted dismissively and pulled out something from somewhere, tossing it to her.
The woman caught it and examined it closely, gasping in surprise.
"The White Emperor Star Fruit!"
"Hmph, the cave below is filled with these things. It's an understatement to say there are tens of thousands," Wu Lao said, regaining his composure slightly.
The woman held the fruit in her hand, her expression clearly complicated. Wu Lao did not like this woman, but she was accompanied by a group of subordinates, all adorned with spider patterns. Each of them was a high-ranking General, so he could not afford to ignore them. He estimated there were nearly twenty people in total.
"Did we arrive too late? Why is it just you left, Wu Lao?" A voice called out from behind them.
An eagle screeched as it swooped down. A tall man with half a silver mask raised his hand and caught the descending majestic eagle. Following him was a group of subordinates dressed in Beast Skin or with their hair tied back, their bodies covered in totems, all bearing strange animal patterns.
The woman tossed the 'White Emperor Star Fruit' to the man with the silver mask. He caught it and looked at it with a slightly astonished expression.
"It seems it was worth the effort," the man said, tossing the 'White Emperor Star Fruit' back to Wu Lao.
Wu Lao caught it, popped it into his mouth, chewed it up, and swallowed. When he opened his eyes again, they were wide with disbelief; the extent to which this thing enhanced his power was beyond his expectations.
"This is a good thing. However..." The man grinned, revealing half of his face as he glanced at the entrance of the cave below and stroked the Eagle Owl. "It seems there are some quite formidable individuals down there."
