“Oh my, my dear. Why are you scolding someone for peeking at my brother while he’s bathing?” The speaker was a woman with long, fiery red hair, her body clad in a strikingly form-fitting Fire Red Armor. Below her red-hot knee-high boots, her long legs were clearly accentuated.
Her features were striking, and on her forehead was a mark resembling a unique flower; it was hard to tell if it was a birthmark or a tattoo. Notably, red chains coiled around her Water Snake Waist and arms.
“Big sister, stop with the nonsense! Let’s capture him first—pretty boy faces get violated before they’re killed, while the ugly ones get castrated first!” A burly man with a muscular build spoke up, his bare torso glistening in the heat. He wore only beach shorts and stood barefoot in this Tropical Rainforest, showing no signs of discomfort.
“Exactly! And he even called us monsters. Hmph! If we don’t get an explanation today, how are we supposed to continue as the dazzling Sister Flowers?” The woman huffed, clearly threatening Lu Fei Fan.
“Dazzling Sister Flowers?” Great Fox Manor thought to himself, puzzled; he had never heard of these two before.
“Hm?” The woman seemed to catch the murmurs.
“Who are you? Were you the one peeking at my brother while he bathed?” She stepped forward, demanding an answer.
“Haha! Great Fox Manor hasn’t developed such strange hobbies yet!” Great Fox Manor replied cheerfully, having guessed the situation.
“Great Fox Manor?” The burly man appeared confused upon hearing the name. “Are you really the Izumo Overlord of Great Fox Manor?”
The woman froze as if struck by lightning, stammering, “Y-y-you…”
“Big sister, it’s your idol!” The muscular man exclaimed loudly, adding for emphasis, “Alive!”
The previously fierce woman suddenly turned bashful like a shy girl, lowering her head to fiddle with her armor.
“Hello, Big Fox…” After a moment of hesitation, she finally managed to utter those words shyly.
"Uh..." Great Fox Manor hadn't expected such a situation and immediately nodded repeatedly, saying, "Alright, hello, hello. Haha, when fighting outside, we are all friends; there's no need to be too formal."
"Really? Are we friends now?" The girl suddenly looked up, excitement sparkling in her eyes.
Great Fox Manor felt a bit awkward. Had he misjudged the situation?
"Come on, Great Fox Manor, let's compare notes! I heard you are the Izumo Overlord, who at fifteen single-handedly defeated a lord-level Frostfire Purple Weasel! At sixteen, you challenged three war gods without losing! That battle made your name known throughout the Virtual Network. My sister really admires you; she mentions your name every meal and even writes it secretly whenever she gets the chance!" The young man said with a hint of envy.
"Stop it!" His sister shot him a glare and quickly changed the subject, reminding him, "Brother, have you forgotten the main issue?"
"Oh, right." The muscular young man shook his already tense muscles. "Great Fox, hand over that person behind you; he has committed an indecent act! I demand an explanation."
"Huh? What indecent act did he commit?" Great Fox Manor quietly asked Lu Fei Fan behind him.
"Nothing! I just went to the pond to catch some fish for dinner. Who knew this big oaf was bathing there? I casually went over to see if there were any fish, and he jumped out naked, claiming I was peeking at him while he bathed and wants me to take responsibility..."
"..."
Great Fox Manor couldn't help but chuckle and sighed before explaining.
"Since it's a misunderstanding, as long as we understand each other, that's enough." Great Fox Manor said.
"May I ask for your esteemed names?" Great Fox Manor stood proudly and inquired.
“Alright, I’m Zhi Kuo. This is my sister, Zhi Yin,” the burly man introduced them to Great Fox Manor.
“Just call me A Yin,” the elder sister murmured shyly, her voice barely above a whisper as she looked down, fidgeting.
“Sis…” Zhi Kuo felt an overwhelming urge to smack himself for his sister's complete lack of composure. He decided to ignore her and said, “Great Fox, hand over that person who was peeping at you while you were bathing.”
“It seems you’ll have to explain things to him yourself,” Great Fox Manor replied, thinking it would be better for Lu Fei Fan to handle the situation.
“Fine.” Lu Fei Fan stepped forward. “This fine gentleman…”
“Who are you calling a gentleman!” the other party retorted angrily, striking a pose reminiscent of a bodybuilder, flexing his muscular arms as he puffed out his chest. “I’m a stunning and sexy beauty!”
“Ugh—” Lu Fei Fan felt an immediate urge to gag.
“Hmph, you’re not bad-looking. Here’s the deal: for peeping at me while I bathe, you’ll be my boyfriend for a few months. If you perform well, I won’t hold it against you!”
“Ugh—”
Lu Fei Fan felt nauseated again.
Great Fox Manor sympathized with Lu Fei Fan and patted him on the back. Once Lu Fei Fan stood up after regaining his composure, he suggested, “Why don’t you just go along with it?”
“Brother Great Fox, you…” Lu Fei Fan couldn’t hold back any longer.
"It seems you don't quite agree with this proposal," Zhi Kuo said, looking troubled. "Well, at least I won't have to struggle with whether I would be betraying my boyfriend. He knits such beautiful scarves; he's so considerate, I can't bear to hurt him."
"That's enough," Lu Fei Fan couldn't hold back any longer. This was just too much; his worldview was shattered, and he had heard enough nonsense.
"My brother is Huang Hua Da Gui Nan. You can't just peek at him while he's bathing without showing some sign of apology, right?" Zhi Yin said, surprisingly serious for once.
"Exactly! My perfect and sexy body has only been shown to my boyfriend. How can I face my dear one if I let other men see it?" Zhi Kuo added, looking genuinely remorseful.
"How about we all sit down for a meal together? Let him apologize properly. We're all friends here; there's no need to make things difficult for each other," Great Fox Manor suggested generously.
"Sister, what do you think?" Zhi Kuo asked, eager to hear her opinion.
"I'm fine with whatever you decide, Brother Lie Zhuang," she replied, glancing down shyly after Great Fox Manor spoke.
Zhi Kuo felt like he had become a sacrifice for his sister's emotional whims!
"You're getting off easy this time," Zhi Kuo grumbled but didn't insist any further.
Thus, Lu Fei Fan had no choice but to prepare a feast of roasted game. Fortunately, the forest was abundant with wildlife, so finding ingredients wasn't too much trouble.
Lu Fei Fan's culinary skills were exceptional. After the barbecue, Zhi Yin and Zhi Kuo praised the meal endlessly. Zhi Kuo even suggested several times that they should take Lu Fei Fan back as their cook. However, seeing her long-time idol made Zhi Yin spirited enough to oppose the idea when Great Fox Manor rejected it, leaving Zhi Kuo in a bit of a dilemma.
"So, what brings you here this time?" After the meal, as everyone relaxed and chatted, Great Fox Manor inquired.
“Listening to the rumors, the ‘Holy Grail Eye’ is supposed to appear around here, so we came to check it out,” Zhi Yin said without reservation in front of her idol.
Zhi Kuo didn’t object; after all, many people were aware of this matter, and there was no point in hiding it.
“The ‘Holy Grail Eye’?” Great Fox Manor squinted his eyes. “So it’s true.”
“Brother Lie Zhuang isn’t here for that, is he?” Zhi Yin looked up and asked.
“Oh, no. I’m here to find someone,” Great Fox Manor replied casually, not specifying who he was looking for, and the others felt it inappropriate to pry further.
“What exactly is this ‘Holy Grail Eye’?” Lu Fei Fan couldn’t help but ask out of curiosity.
“Hmph. You scoundrel, want to know? Why should we tell you?” Zhi Kuo clearly refused to answer Lu Fei Fan, still fixated on the incident where Lu Fei Fan had spied on his perfect physique.
“This ‘Holy Grail Eye’ has been rumored several times over the past decade, each time attracting countless powerful individuals, but every time it turned out to be false news,” Great Fox Manor said calmly.
“But this time, it’s said that the ‘Goddess Twin Towers’ personally predicted it!” Zhi Yin added.
“The ‘Goddess Twin Towers’?” Great Fox Manor’s expression became serious.
“Yes, Brother Lie Zhuang. The ‘Goddess Twin Towers’ belongs to the Wisdom Level Lighthouse! They wouldn’t spread false rumors for anyone. Moreover, the reputation of this lighthouse is incredibly important in today’s Human World. If this turns out to be false news, it would be a fatal blow to the ‘Goddess Twin Towers,’” Zhi Yin analyzed the situation coolly.
“Hmm, regardless of any conspiracy or rumors, even if there are dark hands manipulating things behind the scenes, it has nothing to do with my Great Fox Manor,” Great Fox Manor waved his hand dismissively, uninterested in getting entangled further. His purpose for this trip was to find someone, not to hunt for treasures.
“Brother Lie Zhuang, what are your plans next?” Zhi Yin asked, unable to contain her curiosity.
“I have received some leads. There is someone here that I need to find. So, we need to search carefully. However, this place is so vast that it will take some time,” Great Fox Manor replied without hesitation.
“Why don’t we help you look for them?” Zhi Yin suggested.
“Alright, if that’s the case,” Great Fox Manor said. “Then we can travel together.”
“I, um…” Lu Fei Fan stammered, reluctant to join them.
“What’s wrong? You’re acting like a shy girl,” Zhi Kuo remarked, looking at Lu Fei Fan. “Just say what you want; don’t beat around the bush.”
“Ahem, I might have some personal matters to attend to, so I can’t join you for now,” Lu Fei Fan admitted honestly. After spending time with this unusual pair of siblings, he felt he might end up as odd as they were. It was better to find an excuse and leave quickly; he didn’t want to risk Zhi Kuo, the muscular man who liked men, insisting that he be his boyfriend.
Without further ado, Lu Fei Fan quickly packed his things and bid farewell to the three of them. He still had a task at hand; after all, Yun Kui had entrusted him with finding the seeds of the Totem Sacred Tree, and he couldn’t afford to waste too much time with them.
Little did he know that both the Holy Grail Eye and Lian Qingzong's Tomb of the Giant Whale had already begun to draw him into their web. An invisible net was forming, quietly absorbing outstanding young talents from the Free Federation and various other forces arriving one after another.
