The morning light streamed through the gaps in the trees like golden tassels, casting a warm glow on the lush vegetation. In the soft light, fine dust particles floated in the air, while colorful butterflies and bees danced in the beams, landing on petals and moving about. 0

They resembled dancers under a spotlight, gracefully performing to the symphony of chirping insects and singing birds in the forest. 0

After the heavy rain, the tropical rainforest was filled with humid air that carried the scent of earth. A dry tree suddenly cracked as someone kicked its fragile bark, and Lu Fei Fan emerged from within, stretching comfortably. 0

Having traveled through the night, he had to stop and rest as the rain intensified, feeling frustrated. He noticed this hollow tree, wide enough for four or five people to embrace it. Deciding to peel back its bark, he crawled into the hollow to escape the rain and comfortably laid out his sleeping bag for a perfect nap. 0

To his surprise, he found that the bark had healed itself. It was quite remarkable; inside was spacious and unaffected by the rain, remaining dry and comfortable. Perhaps it was a unique feature of this rainforest. When he awoke, he was greeted by the morning birdsong. 0

After packing his belongings, Lu Fei Fan set out again with his backpack. The large bag was quite cumbersome, so he had already simplified his load as much as possible for this journey. 0

He took out the Bai Wei Guo that Yun Kui had given him. The aroma it produced made him feel like he was eating steamed buns. He couldn't help but smile; this Bai Wei Guo truly was a magical fruit that could transform flavors in his mind into what his taste buds craved most. 0

After eating two of them, his hunger vanished instantly, and he felt energized. After a good night's sleep, he began his journey toward the location of the Totem Seed. 0

According to the map Yun Kui had provided him, he needed to navigate through a maze-like forest to find the Totem Seed. 0

Just then, a loud crash echoed ahead—trees were falling. 0

Lu Fei Fan froze for a moment, gripping his Lie Hound tightly as he moved forward quietly. He concealed his presence; although his Pulse Energy had recovered about a quarter after a night’s rest, he knew that if he encountered any formidable opponents now, his best option would be to flee. 0

In the dense forest ahead, a young man in a black combat outfit stood with his back to him, holding a glaive at an angle. 0

Surrounding him were seven or eight black Crocodile-Toothed Striped Beasts. These creatures were as large as lions, incredibly swift, and their muscular bodies were as solid as rock. When they moved in packs to attack their prey, their large jaws lined with sharp fangs could tear through steel. The trees around them bore astonishing claw marks, remnants of their ferocity. 0

Lu Fei Fan observed the situation intently, contemplating that if he found himself in such a predicament, the best course of action would be to kill one or two of the beasts and then make a run for it, finding ways to eliminate them one by one along the way. 0

Of course, the speed of these Crocodile-Toothed Striped Beasts would pose a significant threat to an ordinary person. However, Lu Fei Fan possessed the Gods' Armor and Black and White Wings, which made him unmatched in terms of escape. 0

The young man in black seemed to be an Empowered Individual himself, standing confidently among the Crocodile-Toothed Striped Beasts. He leaned against a large tree that was thick enough for two people to embrace. What surprised Lu Fei Fan was that the tree had been cut down with such precision—was it severed in one strike? 0

Even more astonishing was that two Crocodile-Toothed Striped Beasts lay motionless on the ground nearby. To Lu Fei Fan's bewilderment, these beasts bore no wounds; they simply lay there in silence. 0

Could this person be unfathomably powerful? 0

The remaining Crocodile-Toothed Striped Beasts did not retreat upon seeing two of their companions dead. Instead, they let out deep growls, seemingly searching for weaknesses to rush in and tear this human apart. 0

Perhaps these beasts had never encountered such a formidable opponent before. Although this human appeared to have vulnerabilities, he exuded an instinctual danger that resonated with creatures born and bred in the jungle. 0

Suddenly, the beasts sprang into action. The man turned sharply, his profile cold and resolute. The two-meter-long glaive he wielded danced through the air like flowing water in the narrow forest space. The air around him thickened with energy as he spun his wrist; the glaive's blade gleamed ominously with black hooks on either side. It surged forth like a roaring dragon! 0

Boom! Boom! Boom— 0

Three Crocodile-Toothed Striped Beasts leaped simultaneously but were instantly swept away by a wave of light! 0

With muffled grunts, they crashed into trees and fell to the ground. They struggled briefly to rise but let out low whines before collapsing lifelessly! 0

The gunfire danced like falling leaves and floating flowers, its sharpness racing like thunder, striking the nearby Crocodile-Toothed Striped Beasts. Despite not infusing much Pulse Energy, the gun barrel unleashed a fierce storm of light that swept through the air. 0

In mid-air, the leaping Crocodile-Toothed Striped Beasts suddenly froze, suspended as if time had stopped. But in the next instant, a violent shockwave erupted, and with a series of loud bangs, the beasts were hit and sent flying, crashing into the trees. 0

The Black-Clad Man landed and glanced over at Lu Fei Fan, who was leaning against a tree, holding his breath completely still, even his Pulse Energy heartbeat had come to a standstill. 0

He seemed unconcerned about Lu Fei Fan spying on him. Turning around, he hoisted the Black Scythe Spear and disappeared into the forest. 0

However, he had barely walked away when Lu Fei Fan relaxed for a moment. Suddenly, he felt the tree behind him crack with a loud snap. Lu Fei Fan froze as he heard more cracking sounds— 0

Around where he had been fighting, trees began to break one after another in an orderly fashion! 0

With a thunderous crash, an entire area cleared out, and Lu Fei Fan jumped onto the fallen branches. The corpses of the earlier Crocodile-Toothed Striped Beasts were revealed, each body riddled with horrifying wounds; not a single part was intact. 0

"This person..." Lu Fei Fan squinted at the front, "What exactly is their origin?" 0

At the same time, Lian Qingzong clad in Fire Red Armor and Jiang Lao strolled leisurely through the Can Gu Forest's Tropical Rainforest. Jiang Lao occasionally pulled out an Electronic Compass that flickered erratically, displaying images that would suddenly vanish. 0

"This..." Jiang Lao tapped on the wrist compass. The terrain projection would appear clearly for a moment but quickly became distorted and unreliable. 0

"Forget it, let's go." Lian Qingzong had never been fond of high-tech gadgets; he preferred to trust his instincts more. 0

Jiang Lao gritted his teeth in frustration before finally throwing the compass to the ground and stomping on it. Sparks flew as he angrily followed Lian Qingzong. 0

Just a few steps later, he unexpectedly bumped into Lian Qingzong. Confused, he wondered why this young master had suddenly stopped—was there a formidable enemy ahead? 0

He suddenly looked up, and to his astonishment, there stood an unexpected figure before him! 0

The person was dressed in a black combat suit, and that iconic black glaive made Jiang Lao's eyes widen in shock! 0

Like a startled cat, Jiang Lao sprang away from Lian Qingzong, drawing the sword he had sheathed at his waist, ready to confront this person with utmost vigilance. 0

"I never thought I would run into you in such a vast place," the figure across from him said with a hint of mockery, completely ignoring Jiang Lao's tense demeanor. 0

Lian Qingzong did not respond, but Jiang Lao jumped in first. 0

"Luo Jing, cut the nonsense! Are you following our young master?" Jiang Lao demanded imperiously. 0

"Following?" Luo Jing laughed as if he had heard a great joke. "Now that's quite an imaginative thought." 0

"You..." Jiang Lao was about to scold him for his shamelessness when Lian Qingzong raised a hand to stop him. 0

"I didn't expect to see the infamous 'Black Flame King' Luo Jing here," Lian Qingzong said calmly, leaving it unclear whether he was being sarcastic or genuinely surprised. 0

"Likewise," Luo Jing replied, seemingly unfazed. "I came for the same reason you did." 0

Lian Qingzong narrowed his eyes at this rival. They were evenly matched but had never fought each other. If there ever came a time when they needed to settle their differences, one of them would surely fall before it was over. 0

"You're not alone, are you?" Lian Qingzong observed, looking at this fellow. 0

"And you?" Luo Jing squinted back at Lian Qingzong, offering no concrete answer. 0

Lian Qingzong nodded, seemingly having anticipated this, and said to himself, "It seems that those fellows have all arrived." 0

"I'm not concerned about that; I'm just here to find what I want," Luo Jing replied, turning abruptly and heading in another direction. 0

"Young Master, could it be that these fellows are here for the Tomb of the Giant Whale?" Jiang Lao asked anxiously. 0

"Most of the people who knew this secret are dead by now. I suspect something else has drawn them here," Lian Qingzong speculated. 0

"Could it be that a rare treasure has appeared?" Jiang Lao pondered, as the two had been in this Tropical Rainforest for quite some time, cut off from outside information and unaware of what had transpired beyond their surroundings. 0

Lian Qingzong thought for a moment, then nodded. "It's possible. We should capture a few who know and ask them." 0

"Alright. I'll go right away." With that, Jiang Lao seemed quite excited as he drew his sword and vanished into the jungle, his figure flickering out of sight, likely not to return anytime soon. 0

Lian Qingzong decided to start a fire right where he was to ward off the dampness. The Greatsword was placed within reach, casting light on the flames and illuminating his youthful, stern face. 0

Lu Fei Fan hid behind a tree, eavesdropping with great interest on Jiang Lao's last two remarks. "What is the Tomb of the Giant Whale?" "What does it mean that a rare treasure has appeared?" 0

This seemed rather intriguing. 0

This was an unexpected gain for him. If Lian Qingzong found out he was eavesdropping, would he resort to killing him to keep him quiet? Never mind; it would be best to slip away quickly. Just as he planned to sneak back into the forest, Lian Qingzong's voice stopped him. 0

"Since you're already so close, there's really no need to hide anymore," Lian Qingzong suddenly raised his voice. 0

Could it be that he had been discovered? 0

It was impossible. He had clearly held his breath, and the Pulse Energy hadn’t activated, so how did he reveal himself? 0

Forget it; it was too late now. It would probably be difficult to leave. Lu Fei Fan sighed. This Fellow was too abnormal, with such keen perception. He leaned against a tree, contemplating a way to deny everything. Resolutely, he turned around and stepped out. 0

Lian Qingzong tossed a piece of wood into the roaring fire and looked at Lu Fei Fan as he emerged. Lian Qingzong seemed a bit surprised, momentarily taken aback. 0

“Hmm?” Lian Qingzong pondered for a moment. 0

Now it was Lu Fei Fan’s turn to be stunned. Wasn’t he the one being called out? 0

As both of them stood there in confusion, a hearty and boisterous laughter echoed from the other side of the forest. 0

“Hahaha! I’ve always been straightforward. When has my Great Fox Manor ever hidden away!” 0

With that, the trees rustled, and a tall, imposing figure appeared before them! 0
