"Yes, that's right," Da Fu Ge nodded. 0

"I've heard that only the Jinwu Holy Blood Pill can cure this," the horse team had done their research on the matter. Even though Lu Fei Fan hadn't shared details with them, he was still a member of their team, and they had to conduct a thorough investigation. 0

At that moment, a supervisor hurriedly pushed the door open and whispered something in Jiang Wannian's ear. 0

Jiang Wannian's expression changed, and he nodded. The supervisor then exited. 0

Jiang Wannian looked at the horse team and Da Fu, saying, "Gentlemen, I believe you need to leave. There’s been an incident with your teammate." 0

The horse team and Da Fu were taken aback, exchanging worried glances before quickly rising to take their leave. 0

"Wait," Jiang Wannian seemed to recall something and called for his subordinate. "Someone go fetch Uncle Tong." 0

The two men looked at each other in confusion, not quite understanding. 0

"Let him accompany you; it might help," Jiang Wannian said with a hint of concern. 0

Before long, a kind-faced middle-aged man dressed in white with sharp eyebrows approached the three. He slightly bowed to Jiang Wannian. "President." 0

"Uncle Tong, there’s been some trouble with their teammate. Please go with them," Jiang Wannian instructed succinctly. "If anyone gives you trouble, don’t hesitate to stand your ground." 0

Uncle Tong nodded and turned to leave with the horse team and Da Fu. 0

Meanwhile, on the other side of the city where lights flickered like stars, Jiu Ye's confrontation with his opponent was nearing its climax. 0

His opponent wielded two Military Daggers that glimmered like silver drills, moving as gracefully as the wind and as swiftly as lightning. Jiu Ye struggled to hold his ground; blood splattered across his body from multiple wounds. Ultimately, his opponent executed a spinning kick that sent him crashing down from the low rooftop, shattering through the dilapidated building below. 0

Jiu Ye lay among the ruins, blood pouring from his mouth and nose. He sprang up, but his opponent dropped down from the broken hole above, delivering a swift kick. Bang! 0

Crack! 0

The ground actually fractured, revealing the fierce leg technique infused with Pulse Energy. 0

In that moment of distraction, Jiu Ye thrust his dagger toward the man's waist with all his might. 0

Thud! 0

The opponent sidestepped and delivered a knee strike. Jiu Ye's strong body was sent crashing into a corner, causing a cacophony of collapsing buildings around him. 0

The man used two military daggers to clear the debris that had fallen on Jiu Ye, then crouched down, looking at him indifferently. The blood from Jiu Ye's mouth and nose stained his resolute face. Perhaps this was the expression of someone on the brink of death, he thought. 0

Yet Jiu Ye ignored him, staring blankly at the dim, gray sky. The stars seemed so far away, but he remembered how she used to love lying in open spaces to gaze at them, sharing childish dreams as they strolled together. 0

He coughed again, more thick black blood spewing out into the air before falling and scattering around him. With each cough, her face became clearer in his mind. 0

"A Yuan..." he murmured her name and then laughed through his coughs, an expression of relief washing over him. 0

Ji San, squatting beside him, furrowed his brow. Did this mercenary seek relief? 0

Well then. He raised his military dagger, aiming for Jiu Ye's chest. If it struck precisely there, it would pierce the heart, and this man would completely bid farewell to this world. 0

However, just as Ji San was about to bring the dagger down... 0

“Wait a moment.” 0

The Military Dagger suddenly hovered just a few centimeters in front of the Chest Cavity. 0

Ji San looked up at the person who had called out, his employer, Mo San Shao, dressed in a Purple Suit and holding a cigar. 0

With his hands in his pockets, he approached Jiu Ye, accompanied by several subordinates. He squatted down and patted Jiu Ye's face, revealing a grin full of yellowed teeth as he bit into the cigar, his expression dripping with mockery and satisfaction. Then he stood up and said, “Hang him up.” 0

Ji San stood up, frowning as he suggested, “Third Young Master, I recommend we deal with this sooner rather than later.” 0

Mo San Shao shrugged it off, flicking his purple suit. “We’re waiting for his companions. He hurt so many of my men; he can’t just get away with it alone. You, prepare the Fellow. When they arrive, take them out.” 0

“Third Young Master, the police nearby are already aware. If we act too boldly, we might run into trouble,” one timid subordinate cautioned. 0

“Hmph, the police?” Mo San Shao scoffed. “Let them come and try to touch me.” 0

With that, he walked over to Su Niang’s noodle shop. Several subordinates had already pulled open the Gate and brought out chairs for him to sit on. Due to the cool night breeze, some of them even dragged away those brothers who had been injured by Jiu Ye; it was unclear whether they were being taken to the hospital or somewhere else. 0

More people continued to arrive; they unloaded empty oil barrels from their cars and lit them in the alleyway among the crowd. The vibrant flames danced in the night, illuminating unfamiliar faces. Mo San Shao even had them bring over barbecued food and drinks. 0

This place had transformed into a temporary gathering spot for these people. Some plainclothes officers were closely monitoring the situation from outside but did not interfere. 0

Upstairs, Su Niang braced the door tightly with a wooden stick, but it seemed no one was trying to break in. Instead, she could hear voices and movement from downstairs, along with the crackling sounds of the flames that cast a crimson glow throughout the alley. 0

Su Niang had already called the police over a dozen times but still hadn’t seen any officers arrive. This clearly made her conscious of something amiss. 0

She secretly observed the situation downstairs through the glass window. Jiu Ye had his shirt torn off and was tied to a tree, right next to a pile of roasting firewood, and it was unclear whether he was alive or dead. 0

Su Niang was very worried because she couldn't find anyone who could help Jiu Ye, not even someone who could assist them. 0

She held her husband tightly; he probably guessed the situation downstairs but remained silent, quietly listening. Occasionally, he glanced at his wife's terrified expression but could do nothing. He could only lie there in her embrace, silent. 0

Their daughter, however, was fast asleep. 0

Perhaps after tonight, she thought, her only shop would be lost. 0

After a long while, downstairs, sitting in front of a blazing oil barrel, one of the subordinates glanced at the unconscious Jiu Ye. Ji San was also warming himself by the barrel. 0

"Third Young Master, it's been so long and his companions haven't arrived. Why not..." the subordinate suggested as he looked at Jiu Ye hanging there. 0

"Go! Bring the child from upstairs down!" The Third Young Master stared expressionlessly at the fire. 0

Immediately, that subordinate rushed upstairs with a group of men. Soon, screams of terror from Su Niang echoed from above, along with a man's voice. However, the most piercing sound was that of Su Niang's daughter's heart-wrenching cries. 0

After a while, one of them dragged a girl who was kicking and screaming in front of Mo San Shao. He slapped her across the face. 0

"Stop!" Jiu Ye had woken up at some point and looked at them. 0

Mo San Shao adjusted his posture slightly to lean back against the chair and said, "Hand over your companions, or we'll cut her face!" 0

One of the subordinates pulled out a switchblade, waving the knife in front of Su Niang's daughter, causing her to cry in fear. 0

"Well, where are your companions? Someone has to take responsibility for what you've done or compensate us in some way. After all, your life is hardly worth it," Mo San Shao said coldly, staring at Jiu Ye. 0

Jiu Ye glared fiercely at Mo San Shao. Seeing that Jiu Ye still had no intention of cooperating, Mo San Shao gestured with two fingers in the air. The subordinate moved to stab Su Niang's daughter in the face with the knife, and the girl was terrified. Meanwhile, Su Niang's desperate cries for mercy from behind the closed door seemed completely irrelevant to these men. 0

Bang! 0

Clang! 0

The switchblade was knocked out of the man's hand and flew across the room, embedding itself in the wall. 0

Everyone stared in shock at the source of the gunfire. 0

"Draw your weapons!" shouted the subordinate who had been disarmed. 0

Those gathered around the gasoline barrels quickly retreated to their vehicles or corners, pulling out their weapons as if facing a formidable enemy. 0

Even Ji San gripped his Military Dagger tightly, scanning the surroundings but failing to locate where the shots had come from. 0

"Where are they?" someone suddenly asked as they noticed the absence of any visible enemy. 0

"Right here!" a voice rang out from behind them. 0

Suddenly, everyone turned to look down the alley. At the end of the alley, a young man slowly emerged from the darkness, stopping next to a burning gasoline barrel. 0

"Just one person?" the previously terrified leader asked with a high-pitched voice. 0

"Yes!" the young man replied. 0

This answer was met with a chorus of laughter from everyone. Looking at their own side, they had at least a hundred people, while the other side had only one. Was he seeking death? 0

They certainly laughed at the young man's arrogance and foolishness. 0

But in the next moment, their laughter faded. Lu Fei Fan walked towards Jiu Ye, who was tied to a large tree. Initially, some of his subordinates took a step back. 0

"Kill him," the high-pitched leader commanded again. 0

Immediately, someone swung a club and aimed a firearm at Lu Fei Fan, but in the blink of an eye, they were all sent flying. 0

Everyone was stunned and terrified; this young man was clearly not an ordinary mercenary. Many began to retreat, and someone in the crowd raised their gun to shoot at him. 0

Bang! 0

The sound of a sniper rifle pierced through the night sky, and the subordinate who had attempted to shoot found his body pierced by a bullet. Following that, two more shots rang out, and plasma bullets struck down four or five more people in succession. 0

"Sniper! They have a sniper!" the terrified supervisor shouted. "Find him!" 0

Immediately, some people rushed off to search, but in the silent darkness of night, no one returned. 0

Mo San Shao looked at the young man before him, who was of a similar age, perhaps even younger. 0

Ji San stepped in front of the young man, blocking his path with both hands gripping a Military Dagger. Bang! 0

The gunshot rang out as the Military Dagger was raised. Clang! 0

Sparks erupted from the Military Dagger as Fu Qinqin, hiding behind a building roof a hundred meters away, clutched her Sniper Rifle. She had intended to take another shot at this person, but Lu Fei Fan raised his hand to signal her not to fire. 0

Through the scope, Fu Qinqin observed the man in front of Lu Fei Fan, calm and composed in his lethal intent, seemingly one of their kind. 0

Lu Fei Fan had somehow acquired a knife, resembling a fruit knife borrowed from a roadside stall—something he had casually picked up along the way. 0

Seeing Lu Fei Fan brandishing a weapon, even if it was just a fruit knife, Ji San no longer held back. In an instant, he launched two Military Daggers hurtling toward Lu Fei Fan's face, like silver lightning striking down! 0

Lu Fei Fan took half a step back and swept the knife horizontally. Clang! 0

Sparks flew as the two Military Daggers were forcefully blocked by the worn blade! 0

Ji San stared in astonishment at this young man before him, but even faster was Lu Fei Fan's advance, charging straight for his chest. 0

Bang! 0

Ji San stumbled back several steps, still reeling from the surprise when Lu Fei Fan closed in on him. A flurry of knife strikes descended like a tempest, and Ji San's Military Dagger met them without hesitation. 0

Clang clang clang— 0

The interplay of light and sparks left Mo San Shao and the others dumbfounded. 0

Even more astonishing was that Lu Fei Fan's blade was ignited with a faint Pulse Energy! 0

Bang! 0

The blade struck Ji San's Military Dagger, sending him staggering back a few steps before he retaliated with punches and kicks. 0

Lu Fei Fan unleashed a swift strike, precisely severing the ropes binding Jiu Ye, then charged in with his fists and feet. 0

Bang! Bang! 0

The sound of bones colliding echoed, shocking everyone present as they witnessed the faint Pulse Energy radiating from Lu Fei Fan as well. 0

"Fuser!" It was only then that Ji San realized who Lu Fei Fan truly was. 0

Mo San Shao sensed the threat posed by the opponent and immediately sought to call for reinforcements. 0
