"You can ask the others; we’ll get our gear and weapons later," the cavalryman said, his fingers tapping rhythmically on the table. 0

The female attendant then began to inquire about the needs of each member of the Fei Hu Battle Team. Lu Fei Fan also expressed his requirements, while Da Biao privately informed him that the weapon and equipment ship was operated by the Free Federation Army. Not only was there an ample supply of ammunition, but the service was also attentive. Furthermore, there were numerous equipment shops on the second and third decks where one could purchase anything; the only limitation was how much silver one had. 0

Once everyone had made their requests, they left with light weapons in hand, but Lu Fei Fan felt a twinge of worry. 0

"Captain, is it really okay for us not to carry weapons?" Lu Fei Fan asked anxiously. 0

"If someone is looking for trouble here, they’re not going to get away with it," Da Biao replied, pointing upwards. Lu Fei Fan followed his gesture and saw the towering city walls. 0

"Are you part of the city defense forces?" Lu Fei Fan blurted out. 0

"Hahaha, city defense forces," Jiu Ye laughed heartily. 0

Da Biao explained with a smile, "This area falls under the jurisdiction of the Great Wall Legion. If someone causes trouble here, they’re directly opposing them. I don’t know about others, but I do know that there was once a General who killed someone in broad daylight. The Thirty-Third Legion dispatched three Generals who eliminated that General on the spot without any trial. So unless someone is looking to die, even if a war god showed up, there would be other war gods to keep them in check. No one dares to cause trouble here." 0

Jiu Ye rubbed his hands together and added, "The safety of Juhai Great Wall and its ironclad rules are the bottom line for all businesses here. Causing a ruckus will make you an enemy of the local powers; no one will protect you. This is serious business; remember that. However, since we all have light weapons, we should be fine for ordinary conflicts. Besides... heh heh." 0

Jiu Ye left a mysterious hint hanging in the air. 0

"What?" Lu Fei Fan asked, confused. 0

"We're going to 'White Pearl'!" Cai Bi exclaimed excitedly, leaning in with a mischievous grin. "Want me to introduce you to some spicy girls? Their figures are as supple as water snakes; you'll be enchanted for life." 0

Fu Qinqin kicked him from behind. 0

Cai Bi stumbled forward, clutching his rear end where he had been kicked multiple times along the way, yet he still wore a cheeky grin as he looked back at Qin Qin. "No thanks, no thanks." 0

Fu Qinqin looked at Lu Fei Fan with a grim expression, while Lu Fei Fan pretended to cough and turned his head away from her. 0

Da Biao laughed heartily and patted Lu Fei Fan on the shoulder. "Once we board the ship, stick with me. I'll take you to eat, drink, and have fun." 0

"What about my things..." Lu Fei Fan recalled the antiques he had collected in the ancient tomb. 0

"They're with me. The Vice Captain's backpack is here too. Only a cruise like the White Pearl from the Sea Shang Tang can handle them. Otherwise, you could look for the Underground Alliance, but things in the black market are mostly predatory; if you get five layers back, consider yourself lucky," Da Biao said with a hint of nostalgia, suggesting he had been burned by black market dealings before. 0

After walking a few hundred meters, a massive white luxury cruise ship appeared before them, resembling a towering mountain docked at the pier, its height nearly matching that of the nearby Juhai Great Wall. 0

From a distance, the White Pearl looked like a mountain over ten stories high, its pearly white hull shining brilliantly under the sunlight, captivating everyone who laid eyes on it. 0

It truly lived up to its name as the White Pearl; amidst many vessels, it stood out with an imposing presence, radiating immense charm like stars surrounding the moon. 0

It was no surprise that it was one of the fifteen most luxurious cruise ships of the Free Federation, collectively known as Sea Shang Tang. Three gangways leading to the dock were guarded by fully armed soldiers in uniforms, while several attendants diligently checked tickets and Intermediate Hunting Area Passes. 0

Lu Fei Fan had been here before but had mostly felt anxious and nervous during his first mission with the Special Operations Team, lacking the leisure to appreciate the ship's allure and opulence. 0

This time, however, his mindset was different. As Cai Bi would say, it was about spending money to enjoy himself and preparing for a good time. 0

"Ordinary people need to pay a hundred thousand for boarding fees. The ship provides accommodation and meals; other services will require extra expenses," Da Biao explained. 0

"What’s there to worry about? Our captain has a golden membership for the White Pearl; we get an 20% discount," Cai Bi said eagerly, mimicking Jiu Ye's gestures as he gazed longingly at the luxurious cruise ship, as if it were a beautiful maiden he wished to claim. 0

Da Fu and Ma Tui presented their golden membership cards, and under the respectful guidance of an attendant, everyone began to board the ship. 0

Upon entering the grand hall of the White Pearl for the first time, most people would be awestruck by its unparalleled luxury. It could easily be mistaken for a five-star hotel at sea, offering everything one could desire for dining, entertainment, and leisure. There were even numerous duty-free shops where passengers could indulge in extravagant spending. 0

Lu Fei Fan couldn't help but marvel once again at humanity's understanding of its own desires, which far exceeded its insights into other matters. This understanding had led to the creation of such a paradise on earth, where people could lose themselves in opulence and excess. 0

The staff at the reception desk assigned everyone a luxurious suite and distributed room keys, setting a meeting time for seven o'clock in the evening. The Counter was also thoughtful enough to provide each guest with a special communication watch, allowing them to stay in touch on the massive cruise ship. 0

After entering their respective communication numbers, everyone began settling into their suites. 0

For Lu Fei Fan, this was his first experience aboard such a lavish cruise ship, and he felt somewhat at a loss about what to do. However, Da Biao had made plans with Cai Bi and Jiu Ye to explore together. So, they all headed to their rooms to freshen up, and the attendants brought them the outfits they needed. 0

Once Lu Fei Fan finished washing up and stood before the mirror, he barely recognized himself. Dressed in a crisp white shirt and a perfectly tailored black suit, he looked every bit the elegant gentleman. His youthful face, with its sharp brows and bright eyes, carried a hint of mature melancholy that made him feel like a stranger in his own skin. 0

He touched his face, reflecting on this unfamiliar body with a strange sense of wonder. 0

Ding-dong. 0

The doorbell of the suite rang. Dressed impeccably, Lu Fei Fan approached the door and opened it, only to be taken aback by the sight before him. 0

"You..." Lu Fei Fan stared at Fu Qinqin, who stood at the entrance wearing a stunning red gown that left him utterly speechless. She was staying next door. 0

He hadn't expected her to look so good in a dress. Standing tall and graceful, her slender frame made her resemble a model. Her short hair was styled neatly, giving her an air of innocence. The red high heels she wore complemented her long gown beautifully, exuding a goddess-like sensuality. 0

"What's wrong? Do I look bad?" Fu Qinqin asked, appearing somewhat self-conscious as she blushed. She then turned around to reveal her back to Lu Fei Fan. "Can you help me with my straps?" 0

It turned out that she couldn't reach the straps on her dress. However, before Lu Fei Fan could extend his hand to assist her, he found himself momentarily frozen in surprise. 0

With a creak, the door of the neighboring suite opened, and someone stepped out. 0

Lu Fei Fan quickly pulled Fu Qinqin into his arms and retreated into the room, shutting the door behind them. 0

Fu Qinqin, feeling anxious and nervous in Lu Fei Fan's embrace, was a bit flustered. Her breath was heavy, and her face turned even redder as she tried to wriggle free. 0

"Don't move," Lu Fei Fan said seriously. 0

Fu Qinqin closed her eyes, her eyelashes fluttering as she waited for Lu Fei Fan to help her fasten the straps of her dress. 0

"All done," Lu Fei Fan said, releasing his hold on her. He took a step back to take a closer look at the unique Qin Qin before him. 0

Taking a deep breath, Fu Qinqin walked over to the full-length mirror, lifting her skirt as she turned around. "I remember my mom wearing such a beautiful long dress. I always imagined that when I grew up, I would wear something like this for her. She would be so happy." 0

Lu Fei Fan stood with his hands in his pockets, admiring this woman who had turned to look at him. It was rare for him to see such a sensual side of her. 0

"The deepest love in this world is when the person you love most leaves you, and you end up living as they would have," Lu Fei Fan said calmly. 0

"Perhaps. My mom used to say that strength is an emotional armor that protects our most vulnerable parts. Without that armor, we would all succumb to this world," she replied. 0

After saying this, she walked over and picked up a bow from the table, carefully tying it around Lu Fei Fan's neck. However, it seemed she had never done this before; she furrowed her brow and struggled several times without success. 0

"Take your time," Lu Fei Fan said, gently taking her hand. He looked in the mirror and guided her step by step. "First, cross the two straps." 0

"Then let the top strap go around the bottom one and drop down between them. Pull it tight and tie a knot..." Lu Fei Fan instructed as he helped her tie the bow properly. 0

After finishing her makeup, Fu Qinqin took a step back to admire her reflection, her cheeks flushed. 0

"Do I look good?" Lu Fei Fan asked, tugging at the bow tie around his neck with satisfaction. He flicked his hair confidently and added, "Am I not stunning?" 0

For a moment, Fu Qinqin was at a loss for words. After a while, she managed to respond, "You look like a pretentious fool." 0

"Sounds like I must look pretty handsome," Lu Fei Fan replied, seemingly unfazed by Fu Qinqin's jab, still brimming with confidence. 0

Ding dong. 0

The doorbell rang. 0

Lu Fei Fan went to open the door and was greeted by Da Biao in a white suit, Cai Bi in a blue suit, and Jiu Ye dressed extravagantly like a wealthy socialite. 0

"You guys wait a minute..." 0

But Da Biao and the others had no intention of giving him time; they pushed the door open and strode in. 0

"You took so long to open the door; were you hiding a woman in there?" Da Biao teased as he entered. 0

"Uh..." Lu Fei Fan couldn't even stop them. 0

As everyone rushed into the room and saw Qin Qin standing there in a long dress, they all turned to Lu Fei Fan with questioning looks that spoke volumes. 0

The first to scream was Cai Bi. Oh no, how was he going to explain this? Was being alone with this girl considered ambiguous or outright cheating? 0

As Lu Fei Fan scratched his head, trying to figure out how to explain the situation, Cai Bi, like a lovesick animal, lunged at Qin Qin. 0

“Qin Qin, Goddess! You’re so beautiful! Just like the most stunning sight I’ve ever seen in my life!” 0

Qin Qin turned around, causing this fellow to miss and slide across the smooth floor for quite a distance. 0

The beast bounced back up and attempted to pounce on Qin Qin again, only to be met with a swift stomp from her high heel that sent him back to the ground, howling in pain. 0

The crowd erupted in laughter, the earlier awkwardness completely forgotten. 0

“Zai, that outfit fits you well. You could charm quite a few girls with it. If I were a woman, I might even throw myself at you,” Jiu Ye praised Lu Fei Fan's handsomeness with a teasing tone. 0

“Let’s not go there…” Lu Fei Fan shuddered at the thought of what Jiu Ye, a strong and rugged woman, would look like in such a scenario. 0

“Alright, the captain and the others are waiting for us in the hall,” Da Biao said, patting Lu Fei Fan on the shoulder before turning to leave with Jiu Ye. 0

After stepping on Cai Bi a few times for good measure, Qin Qin turned around and stormed out with her high heels clicking angrily against the floor. Lu Fei Fan went over to help Cai Bi up; this fellow had a bruised face and was bleeding from his nose. Despite being repeatedly knocked down, he still seemed dedicated to teasing Qin Qin, enjoying it without any complaints. 0

Lu Fei Fan couldn’t quite understand this behavior. 0
