When Lu Fei Fan emerged from the tomb, the natives had not yet returned. 0

Naturally, no one knew that Lu Fei Fan had left the tomb with a bulging backpack, and that the explosives had collapsed the stone door, leaving it unchanged from before he entered. Even if they did come back, they probably wouldn’t notice the Mausoleum. 0

Moreover, with formidable enemies lurking outside, these natives likely wouldn’t expend much effort exploring this place any longer. 0

As Lu Fei Fan stepped out of the cave entrance, it felt like a different world. Breathing in the fresh air and gazing at the hazy moonlight, he experienced a sensation of having traveled back in time. 0

Bang! Bang! Bang! 0

In the distance, fierce gunfire erupted, seemingly drawing closer. 0

Lu Fei Fan quickly leaped down, agile as a leopard, disappearing into the vast night. 0

The natives had returned, with Crazy Horse covered in blood and his eyes blazing with rage. Clearly furious, he was accompanied by seven or eight others, each bearing some injuries. However, they had managed to reclaim most of their belongings and had taken out several of their opponents, finally venting their anger. 0

The reason for their delayed return was that those adversaries were still unyielding; they had to deal with them along the way while carrying back their heavy load of Treasure. As Crazy Horse watched several bags of Treasure being loaded onto a vehicle, he decided it was best to leave this place soon. The recent gunfight would likely attract other Mercenaries; facing multiple foes would be unwise. 0

Thus, he called for his men to load the items onto the vehicle while remaining vigilant. He took a few people into the cave to evacuate the injured inside. 0

Of course, he did not notice any traces of Lu Fei Fan’s presence because he assumed that his unconscious companions were merely victims of prior injuries. It wasn’t until he and a few tribesmen brought their comrades out of the cave that they encountered a problem at the entrance. 0

“What’s wrong?” Crazy Horse asked. 0

“Chief, one of our vehicles is missing!” 0

“What!” 0

Crazy Horse looked towards the place where the vehicle was hidden. It had been camouflaged with branches and tarpaulin, but now it had been discovered? 0

“Those damn bastards!” Crazy Horse cursed loudly. 0

“Get everything on the truck! We need to leave!” Crazy Horse had no choice but to cram everyone into a single vehicle. Even if it was overloaded, he had to get out of this place quickly. 0

To avoid any unforeseen troubles, he felt that it was better to exchange the treasures they had unearthed for money sooner rather than later. 0

Little did he know, the more valuable items in the secret chamber had already been taken by a yellow bird that he hadn’t even noticed. Of course, the treasures Crazy Horse had recovered from the enemies were enough for his people to buy food, ammunition, weapons, and medical supplies. 0

Yet Crazy Horse still appeared somewhat frantic because the High Priest had already been injured during the ambush, and would no longer be able to use totemic spells to seek out treasures in the future. 0

This made him extremely angry, especially since they had lost several fighters—hard-won warriors from his tribe. Training them required a significant investment of time and resources. 0

Once everything was loaded, he instructed everyone to huddle together as they slowly drove out of the mountainous basin. 0

Not long after they left, a loud explosion echoed from the cave. 0

Clearly, those people had blown up the tomb entrance, collapsing it to prevent anyone else from taking advantage of the situation. 0

Meanwhile, under the moonlight, Lu Fei Fan carried dozens of kilograms as he moved through the hills like flowing water. According to their prior agreement, once they secured a vehicle, if they got separated, everyone would return to their designated meeting point. Lu Fei Fan naturally remembered the way back. 0

Under the gray-white moonlight, a stream flowed down from Shangu, where the members of the Fei Hu Battle Team were taking a break. 0

The air was filled with the dry scent of dust, mingled with a faint trace of blood. 0

Cai Bi had just finished bandaging two injured team members. Fearing detection, despite having access to clean water, they dared not light a fire. Everyone could only nibble on the hard compressed rations while sitting by the cold stream. 0

The first to lose patience was Jiu Ye. Sitting on a large rock, he boredly wiped his Rocket Launcher several times before finally standing up and tossing the oil-soaked rag onto the ground. He then ran over to the captain with his Rocket Launcher in hand. 0

“Captain, it’s been so long since Fellow went back; something must have happened. Let me go check,” he asked impatiently. 0

Ma Dui was bent over drawing water from the stream. After a moment of contemplation, he carried the water over to Da Fu, who was busy repairing a vehicle, and waved his hand, saying, “Wait for Qin Qin and Jia Jia to return first.” 0

Da Fu Ge finished tightening the last bolt with a wrench and closed the hood of the vehicle, patting it as he said, “All done.” 0

“Is it fixed?” Ma Dui asked in surprise. 0

“These issues are nothing I can’t handle,” Da Fu replied, brushing off his hands. He then looked up and pointed to the other side. “Look, they’re back.” 0

Everyone turned to see Fu Qinqin, Suma, and Jia Jia—who looked as strong as a black gorilla in his military t-shirt—returning. However, there were no others behind them, indicating they had come back empty-handed. 0

“Didn’t find anyone?” Jiu Ye asked eagerly. 0

Fu Qinqin shot him an annoyed glance at his reckless bravado and replied dismissively, “We circled around but didn’t see him. That cave was blown up by those Fellows.” 0

“Where on earth did that Fellow go?” Suma slammed his fist on the hood of the car, visibly annoyed. 0

“Could something have happened to him?” Da Fu Ge pondered, glancing at the horse team. 0

The horse team hesitated for a moment, looking at Cai Bi and the two injured individuals he was tending to. Ultimately, they had no choice but to give the order: “Prepare to get in the vehicles and evacuate.” 0

“Captain, are we really going to leave that Fellow behind?” Jiu Ye had developed some fondness for Lu Fei Fan and felt reluctant to abandon a teammate. “How about I stay behind and wait for him?” 0

“No way.” The captain firmly rejected the idea. “This place isn’t safe; we need to leave immediately. If we stay any longer, those natives might come after us. We stole their vehicles, and it wouldn’t be hard for them to figure that out. Besides, we have injured members who need to get back to base for treatment.” 0

“Captain, just trust me this once!” Jiu Ye insisted. 0

“No, it’s not negotiable. I can’t risk my team any further,” the captain coldly refused. 0

Jiu Ye wanted to say something more, but Da Fu Ge patted his shoulder and advised, “Listen to the captain.” 0

Jiu Ye hesitated, then finally relented. He gazed toward the Hills, hoping to see that Fellow’s figure appear soon. However, after five minutes of waiting, as everyone boarded the vehicles and they began to move, he reluctantly climbed into the car at the captain’s call. 0

“That Fellow won’t die,” Fu Qinqin remarked as she stood by the Off-Road Vehicle, looking back at the retreating wilderness. She always felt that if that Fellow were so easy to kill, he wouldn’t have been so bold when he came to rescue her. 0

The two vehicles began to drive away from the Hills, one following the other. After about ten minutes of bumpy driving, they finally settled down in silence and gloom. 0

Da Fu Ge and the captain each took a vehicle; Suma sat in the front passenger seat of the captain's car while Jia Jia occupied the front passenger seat of Da Fu Ge's vehicle. Cai Bi was in the front car with the injured individuals, while Jiu Ye sat in the back with Qin Qin, feeling dejected. 0

As the car was about to drive out of the valley, 0

"Did someone just call out?" Jiu Ye raised his head to look into the distance. Fu Qinqin, feeling anxious from Jiu Ye's sudden alertness, also glanced up, but neither of them spotted anyone. 0

Just then, a shout came from behind. 0

"Captain!" 0

Upon hearing the call, Fu Qinqin immediately stood up. From a distance, Jiu Ye saw Lu Fei Fan sprinting towards them with a massive backpack on his back. 0

"It's him! Stop the car!" Fu Qinqin shouted as he patted the roof of the car urgently. 0

Just as Da Fu Ge was about to check the rearview mirror and hit the brakes, a sharp sound pierced through the air—a bullet whizzed by and shattered the rearview mirror outside the window. 0

Following that, a rain of bullets came flying in, zipping through the night— 0

Pop! Pop! They sliced through the darkness and vanished into the wilderness ahead. 0

"Not good, we have pursuers!" Jiu Ye shouted from the back of the vehicle as he grabbed his Fire Howl Gun, ready to fire. 0

"Are you crazy? You'll hit him!" Fu Qinqin quickly intervened, simultaneously using her handgun to provide cover fire for Lu Fei Fan, who was desperately trying to catch up. 0

"Damn it," Jiu Ye grumbled as he rolled over to grab his Rocket Launcher. He loaded a Rocket Artillery round and pulled the trigger—whoosh! 0

A long plume of smoke shot out, landing in the wilderness behind Lu Fei Fan, erupting into a massive fireball accompanied by screams. Clearly, this reckless Rocket Artillery strike had dealt a heavy blow to the pursuing enemies. 0

"Run faster! Stop dawdling like a bunch of women!" Jiu Ye shouted anxiously, wishing he could run himself. 0

"Quick!" Fu Qinqin fired her twin guns with precision, suppressing the enemy fire from behind. 0

Lu Fei Fan was sprinting through the Gobi with all his might, cursing his bad luck. He had just managed to escape from the Tomb, thinking he was safe, only to find himself cornered by a group of Indigenous Treasure Hunters and Mercenaries after taking a wrong turn. The moment they spotted his bulging backpack, they began their relentless pursuit. 0

Lu Fei Fan had initially planned to lead them in circles, but as time was running out, he had no choice but to dash toward the rendezvous point. These pursuers were well-equipped, and with four or five vehicles chasing him, Lu Fei Fan felt like a dog on the run. To make matters worse, his teammates refused to stop and wait for him; those two Fellows were still urging him to hurry from inside their vehicle. "You try it!" 0

Despite his internal grumbling, Lu Fei Fan kept pushing forward. He moved erratically, and bullets whizzed past him, kicking up dust as they struck the ground. The Mercenaries behind him must have been frustrated; it seemed like this guy was nearly impossible to hit. 0

In reality, it was Lu Fei Fan's Nine Palace Steps that allowed him to dodge the bullets successfully. His Pulse Breathing Technique was continuously in motion, enhancing his body and senses to a level of heightened awareness and coordination. 0

As a result, most of the bullets seemed to veer away from him. 0

In the final fifty-meter sprint, Lu Fei Fan leaped up and managed to grab onto the open trunk of an off-road vehicle. The car was moving too fast, and he nearly fell backward, but Fu Qinqin and Jiu Ye simultaneously grabbed his outstretched hand and pulled him up. 0

Once inside the vehicle, Lu Fei Fan leaned against it, gasping for breath. 0

Jiu Ye and Fu Qinqin didn't have time for pleasantries; they were focused on firing at the three off-road vehicles that were still pursuing them. 0

Whoosh—Boom! 0

“Damn it!” Jiu Ye cursed as he tossed aside the Rocket Launcher. Ever since the first vehicle was hit by his shot, the enemy had learned to be cunning, employing cross-tracking maneuvers. His Rocket Launcher had missed its target time and again. 0

In a fit of anger, he grabbed the prepared Fire Howl Gun. The roaring Machine Gun sounded like thunder as it unleashed a barrage of bullets—puh puh puh— 0

A rain of Light Bullets swept out, and one vehicle was struck, crashing violently into a rock and flipping over. Fu Qinqin followed up with several shots aimed at the vehicle's mailbox. 0

Boom! 0

The vehicle erupted in a massive fireball, while the convoy ahead began to retreat alongside Lu Fei Fan's vehicle. The two vehicles continued to fire backward, gradually suppressing the two pursuing cars, which found themselves at a disadvantage. Ultimately, they chose to abandon the chase; Jiu Ye's Fire Howl Gun was simply too much for them to handle. 0

Lu Fei Fan watched as the pursuers gradually faded from view, finally catching his breath. He patted his bulging backpack and smiled with satisfaction. 0

This raid on their camp, killing and looting, had not been in vain. Just thinking about the spoils he had acquired made him break into a mischievous laugh! 0

“Hahahaha…” 0

His carefree laughter echoed through the desolate wilderness under the night sky. 0
