Suddenly, a gap on the left side began to rise slowly, revealing that it was indeed a stone door! 0

With a thunderous rumble, the stone door opened, unveiling a long-sealed chamber that had been isolated from the world for ages. 0

A cloud of dust filled the air, carrying a musty odor. Lu Fei Fan waved his hand to disperse the dust in front of him. He picked up a stone from the ground and threw it inside; nothing triggered any mechanisms, indicating that this chamber likely had no special traps to deter intruders. 0

As Lu Fei Fan stepped inside, he realized this was a passageway. The passage was not long, illuminated by a soft white light emanating from stones embedded in the walls on either side. 0

It wasn’t an open flame? This piqued Lu Fei Fan's curiosity immensely. 0

He approached one of the light sources and used his Silver Sparrow War Blade to pry off one of the luminous orbs encased in a special transparent material. He couldn’t help but gasp in surprise. 0

The orb, wrapped in a substance resembling clay, turned out to be a pebble-sized Night Pearl! 0

He had no idea how much this Night Pearl could fetch, but its ability to illuminate the corridor made it at least a valuable treasure. Lu Fei Fan raised the Night Pearl in his hand; it was far more useful than torches or similar items. 0

After passing through the corridor, he entered a burial chamber. This room was brighter than the corridor because here, instead of the frosty white light of the Night Pearls, four colors—orange, purple, red, and green—burst forth instantaneously, illuminating the entire chamber. 0

Lu Fei Fan took this opportunity to clearly observe the structure and layout of the burial chamber. 0

It could only be described as magnificent. 0

This was a grand hall-like burial chamber, with towering stone pillars on either side that required two people to embrace them fully. These pillars were crafted like jade, pure and flawless, resembling exquisitely carved jade sculptures adorned with dragons and phoenixes that exuded opulence. 0

In front of the pillars stood two rows of imposing warriors, each with distinct expressions. These warriors wielded various cold weapons—swords, spears, axes, and halberds—each appearing formidable in their hands. 0

They stood guard on either side of the hall. At the far end was a golden throne, behind which loomed an awe-inspiring screen. 0

This screen shimmered brilliantly like pristine merchandise—a Peacock Screen! 0

Each peacock feather was intricately carved to life-like perfection; even the faux eyes on the feathers seemed... alive? 0

That was Lu Fei Fan's immediate impression upon seeing it! 0

“What is this…” Lu Fei Fan found himself unconsciously moving forward, crossing through the hall and ascending steps toward the throne. 0

“Why... is it so captivating?” Lu Fei Fan was about to reach out to touch the throne. 0

“Don’t touch it!” 0

A voice struck him like a clear rain, hitting him squarely. 0

Lu Fei Fan was taken aback, quickly stepping back several paces. At that moment, his energy surged as the power clouding his mind was expelled, allowing him to see the invisible energy emanating from the Peacock Screen. 0

“It is beautiful, but also deadly.” A figure slowly descended beside Lu Fei Fan. 0

He turned to look and instinctively took a step back, drawing his Lie Hound and aiming it at the mysterious person who had appeared out of nowhere. 0

“Who are you?” Lu Fei Fan coldly regarded the woman floating serenely in place. 0

Indeed, this woman hovered in mid-air, clad in a flowing white robe that draped elegantly around her. Her face appeared delicate and ethereal, with features subtly glowing like jade, making her seem almost insubstantial. 0

Lu Fei Fan’s energy sensing technique could not detect any presence from her. Was she... an energy entity? 0

“Don’t be afraid; I won’t harm you. I am the guardian of the master of this tomb,” she calmly introduced herself, seemingly anticipating Lu Fei Fan’s reaction. 0

“Guardian?” Lu Fei Fan seized upon the key word. 0

The woman smiled faintly and said, “You can consider me not human, but I still believe I am one. It’s just that...” She cast a wistful glance at the empty throne. 0

“I’m just waiting for someone to return,” she added. 0

Lu Fei Fan lowered his Lie Hound and pointed at the Peacock Screen. “What is that? Why does it bewitch the mind?” 0

“That is the Peacock Tree, placed here by Wanyan Aguzong to guard against treacherous tomb raiders and to prevent me...” She paused. 0

“Prevent you?” Lu Fei Fan noted her ancient attire and ethereal demeanor. She seemed to come from a noble background, so why had she become a wandering spirit here? 0

“Who is Wanyan Agu Zong?” Lu Fei Fan asked. 0

“The national teacher of the Great Jin Dynasty,” she replied, looking at Lu Fei Fan. 0

“Great Jin Dynasty?” Lu Fei Fan searched his memory for the name of this dynasty. He recalled seeing it in historical texts; back then, before the end of the world Tide, the nations of the Great Six were warring against each other, and one of those dynasties was indeed called the Great Jin Dynasty. 0

Nearly a thousand years had passed since then, and yet… he had stumbled upon such an ancient tomb? It was quite baffling. It seemed that those indigenous people had quite a skill in tomb construction; could they be considered treasure hunters from another world? 0

Lu Fei Fan found this thought somewhat amusing. 0

“What are you laughing about?” The woman suddenly interrupted Lu Fei Fan's thoughts and asked. 0

“Oh, nothing. Is this your tomb?” Lu Fei Fan tentatively inquired as he looked at her. 0

“It could be, or it might not be,” she answered cryptically. 0

“This tomb was originally built for that person, and it is also meant to imprison me…” she continued. 0

“Imprison you?” Lu Fei Fan was somewhat taken aback. “Why would he imprison you?” 0

“Because I am the Empress,” the woman stated. 0

“Empress?” Lu Fei Fan felt a sense of consciousness regarding some ancient burial rituals involving living sacrifices. “Are you a sacrifice?” 0

“Yes,” she nodded, openly admitting it. “Before I became the Empress, I already had someone I loved. He was loyal and brave, willing to give everything for his country. Unfortunately, the king grew suspicious of his strength and had to send him to fight against a powerful nation. The king promised that if he returned victorious, he would grant us marriage. But sadly, I did not wait for him to come back; instead, I received news of the king's sudden change in temperament. He issued an imperial decree for me to marry him as the Empress. I struggled against it, but my parents were imprisoned… I had no choice but to obey the decree… A few months later, the emperor suddenly passed away. To ensure my burial with him, National Teacher Wanyan Agu Zong ordered me to be trapped here and placed under the Peacock Tree so that I could never reincarnate and would have to accompany the king for eternity.” 0

“So this is your Great Jin Dynasty's royal tomb?” Lu Fei Fan looked around and indeed saw a massive coffin at the end of the chamber, with golden Night Pearls embedded in the walls, illuminating the area with a radiant glow. 0

As Lu Fei Fan approached the tomb, he noticed that intricate patterns adorned the coffin’s surface, featuring repeated peacock designs. On top of these patterns rested a Peacock Lamp, and he even observed that a softly glowing Ming Zhu floated above it. 0

“Hmm.” Lu Fei Fan felt something strange. 0

“Don’t!” The woman hadn’t had time to stop Lu Fei Fan before he reached out. 0

Lu Fei Fan pushed the Peacock Lamp, and suddenly, the floating Ming Zhu fell, crashing onto the surface of the coffin. The crystalline liquid, shimmering like silver water, instantly seeped into the intricate patterns, which began to ripple as if activated by the water's touch. 0

The glowing lines extended along the coffin and through the grand hall, directly reaching behind the throne. In an instant, the Peacock Tree Screen behind the throne burst forth with blinding white light, and a false eye shot out a strange glow, forming a towering warrior clad in Black Armor kneeling on the ground. In his left hand, he held a sword, while his right hand grasped a Bai Fan. He suddenly lifted his face, revealing a terrifying Demon Face Mask. 0

"National Master!" the woman screamed in sudden fear. 0

"Beast! You dare to escape from the royal tomb? Today, I shall avenge the king!" The armored warrior raised the Bai Fan and pointed his ancient sword at her. 0

In an instant, an invisible energy gathered like an army of thousands. Numerous mounted warriors wielding long swords and spears surged through the air like Energy Forms toward the White-Clad Woman! 0

Boom! 0

The Lie Hound's large-caliber explosive round struck those Energy Knights, instantly obliterating the Spirit Knight. 0

The National Master, wearing a mask, was taken aback and turned to look at Lu Fei Fan, who had intervened. 0

"Who dares to trespass in the royal tomb? State your name!" he bellowed. 0

"Your grandfather!" 0

"Your grandfather?" The National Master was momentarily stunned, pondering how such a bizarre surname could exist. "Nonsense! There is no such surname." 0

"You guessed it right!" Lu Fei Fan raised the Lie Hound and fired again. 0

Bang! 0

The Explosive Armor-Piercing Round smashed into the National Master's armor, sending his entire body flying against the wall. 0

However, he quickly regained his footing and conjured an Energy Form bow and arrows. Drawing back the bowstring, he unleashed a flurry of Energy Arrows toward Lu Fei Fan. With a clang, Lu Fei Fan unsheathed his Zhan Dao; each arrow wrapped in Pulse Energy was shattered by his Silver Sparrow War Blade as he charged toward the National Master like a leopard! 0

With one swift strike, Lu Fei Fan brought down his blade. The National Master raised his long sword in response; even a simple upward swing unleashed a surge of energy! 0

Lu Fei Fan dodged to the side as the slicing energy roared through the Tomb, shattering everything in its path! 0

"Quick, use the Zhenmu Beast Cauldron!" the woman shouted, then leaped towards the jade qilin beast cauldrons placed on either side of the grand hall. 0

"Such meddling!" The national master casually flicked his hand, and an invisible force sent the White-Clad Woman flying away from the Zhenmu Beast Cauldron, crashing into a statue of a warrior in the hall. 0

Seizing the opportunity, Lu Fei Fan fired three shots in rapid succession with his Lie Hound, emptying the magazine. The bullets slammed against the national master's armor, sending him staggering back. 0

Without time to check if the national master was incapacitated, Lu Fei Fan dashed recklessly to one of the Zhen Shou Mu Dings just as a long sword came slicing down! 0

Boom! 0

The Zhen Shou Mu Ding shattered explosively. 0

Lu Fei Fan quickly retreated as the national master brandished a banner that floated in mid-air, his sword following closely behind him, charging forward! 0

"Damn it!" Lu Fei Fan cursed, raising his Silver Sparrow to meet the attack. 0

Bang! 0

Lu Fei Fan was sent flying backward. 0

The immense recoil felt like a blow to his very core, and he spat out a mouthful of sweet blood. 0

"Hahaha, a mere mortal dares to oppose me? Seeking death!" The national master declared as he lunged at Lu Fei Fan like a ghostly apparition. 0

The White-Clad Woman boldly floated in front of the national master. 0

"Just in time to send you on your way!" The national master's sword pierced through the woman's body like it was on fire, eliciting a horrific scream from her. 0

He kicked her aside, and she crashed against the wall, her form dissipating into it. When she reappeared on the other side, she clutched her shoulder where she had been stabbed and glared at the national master. 0

Searching for Lu Fei Fan's whereabouts, the national master suddenly realized that Lu Fei Fan had already lifted another intact Zhenmu Beast Cauldron! 0

"Die!" Lu Fei Fan shouted as he raised it high, but to his embarrassment, it seemed to have no reaction at all. 0

“Ha ha ha! Ignorant child!” The National Master lunged forward, thrusting his sword down. Lu Fei Fan dodged, and with a swing of the Silver Sparrow War Blade, he struck back. However, the National Master countered with a swift slash, sending Lu Fei Fan flying through the air with tremendous force. 0

“Blood!” cried the Ancient Garbed Woman. 0

“Talkative!” The National Master raised his hand, and Bai Fan was suddenly pulled towards him, the long sword aimed to pierce her body. 0

Bang! 0

The Lie Hound fired again with a thunderous shot. 0

The National Master dodged, regaining his composure. To his surprise, it was not him who was hit; instead, the bullet smashed into the Peacock Tree with a resounding crash, shattering it completely. 0

The Peacock Tree cracked like breaking glass, sending shards flying. 0

“No!” 0

The National Master shouted in despair, glaring fiercely at the White-Clad Ancient Tomb Woman. 0

“I will take you all to the grave with me!” 0

As he prepared to make a move, the entire Tomb began to tremble ominously. 0

“This is bad!” 0

The White-Clad Woman whipped her long sleeve around the Zhen Shou Mu Ding and sent it flying towards the National Master. 0

Boom— 0

The Zhen Shou Mu Ding soared above the National Master's head, and the energy he released instantly activated it. 0

“You…” 0

The National Master looked down in horror, utterly shocked. 0

Suddenly, an ancient magic circle appeared, intertwining and glowing brilliantly. 0

Countless golden chains surged forth from the circle, as if they possessed a will of their own, wrapping around the National Master. 0

His hands and feet were bound in mid-air by these chains, rendering him unable to struggle as they slowly pulled him down, activated by the magic circle. 0

“Yun Wangyao…” The National Master’s feet began to sink into the bright, pool-like magic circle. “Don’t you want to know why your Bai Luochuan hasn’t returned to find you?” 0

The White-Clad Woman jolted as if struck by lightning and asked fiercely, “You… know where he is?” 0

Half of the National Master’s body was already submerged in the magic circle. He laughed heartily, “You’ll never see him again in your lifetime! Hahaha, it was I who…” 0

Before he could finish, a beastly roar echoed, and he was suddenly yanked into the circle. 0

The White-Clad Woman’s face was filled with sorrow. Lu Fei Fan hesitated, wondering whether to comfort her when suddenly the magic circle blazed with light. Countless chains shot out and instantly bound the weeping woman. 0

“How could this happen?” Lu Fei Fan was momentarily stunned. He quickly drew his Silver Sparrow and swung it at the chains, but all he achieved was a shower of sparks; he couldn’t sever them. He hastily loaded his gun again, but no matter how he fired, the chains remained unbroken. 0

Lu Fei Fan contemplated whether to smash the Zhen Shou Mu Ding to resolve the situation, but Yun Wangyao’s body was already slowly descending into the circle. 0

“It’s useless. The Zhen Shou Mu Ding won’t relent until it eliminates the evil entity it has determined,” Yun Wangyao seemed resigned to her fate. “It’s a pity I couldn’t wait for him to return.” 0

At that moment, a necklace shaped like a key flew towards Lu Fei Fan. 0

“Sir, may I ask you for a favor?” 0

“Please go ahead.” Lu Fei Fan caught the necklace. 0

“Please help me find him and give this to him. I’m tired of waiting; I can’t wait any longer.” 0

“Alright…” 0

Yun Wangyao had half of her body submerged in the formation, yet she began to softly sing a poem. 0

"Snow Covers Flower Mountain's Dangerous Tower, gazing at the snow scattered across Yao River. In dreams each night, I see the Monarch, his white robes exuding a murderous aura across the battlefield. How many times has the Monarch come, yet I see only the wind and snow, not his garments. In life, I shall return without a set date; when you return, we shall recognize each other again..." 0

Suddenly, Yun Wangyao vanished within the formation, and the array closed, causing the Zhenmu Beast Cauldron to dim and fall to the ground. 0

"...In life, I shall return without a set date... I hope, Miss Yao, that in the years to come, flowers will bloom on the other side." 0

Lu Fei Fan murmured to himself before turning to look at the chaotic graveyard. He collected his emotions and opened his backpack, hastily stuffing in valuable Night Pearls and a box of Burial Goods containing precious jade and gemstones. He carelessly shoved a Necklace and Ming Zhu into his bag, not even pausing to check what he had taken. He feared that the natives outside might return and he would find it difficult to escape. 0

When his backpack was filled to the brim, Lu Fei Fan dashed out of the Mausoleum. Afterward, he threw two Energy Grenades at the entrance of the tomb chamber—boom! 0

The tremendous explosion collapsed the stone door of the tomb chamber, sealing away a connection that had spanned over a thousand years. 0

In this vast sea of humanity and immense world, how difficult it is to find one person—especially someone who has been dead for over a thousand years? 0

Lu Fei Fan couldn't help but sigh quietly; it seemed that this Miss Yun had entrusted her hopes to someone unworthy. 0
