When they returned to the camp, the rest of the Special Operations Team was waiting for the horse team and Lu Fei Fan.
As they walked into the Camp, all eyes turned towards them, focusing intently on Lu Fei Fan and the horse team.
“How did it go?” Da Biao asked impatiently.
“Hmm... the situation isn’t very optimistic,” the horse team said, stroking his stubble and deliberately building suspense.
Everyone's gaze shifted to Lu Fei Fan, who shrugged helplessly, clearly playing along with the horse team's teasing of their fellow members.

The horse team stroked his stubble again, hesitating slightly before saying, “Special Class.”

“Special Class?” Da Fu Ge managed to remain relatively calm. “What mission?”
“Thunderfang Wolf! We’re going out at that time,” the horse team replied. Then he noticed the strange looks of admiration from everyone and shrugged. “Don’t look at me; I didn’t draw the short straw.”
With that, he turned and went outside to rest.
At this moment, all eyes focused on Lu Fei Fan.

Hearing this, Lu Fei Fan felt a surge of excitement. This guy had so many miraculous potions! Just as he was contemplating whether to get some to test their effects, Fu Qinqin kicked Cai Bi in the backside.
"Go take a break. The captain's been out for two hours; stop your nonsense," she said, her tough demeanor silencing Cai Bi as he retreated.
"Haha, better not get lost in your thoughts. Rest up and prepare for what's next," Jia Jia reminded him.
"Hey, if you can't sleep, I have some specially prepared liquor that will guarantee you knock out immediately," Jiu Ye chimed in from the doorway.
Thinking back to the last time the captain drank, Lu Fei Fan shook his head and decisively passed on that offer.
Da Fu Ge patted Lu Fei Fan on the shoulder before stepping outside, where the sounds of their discussion about the map drifted in from next door.
Not bothering with them anymore, Lu Fei Fan lay down intending to catch some sleep. The desert heat was unbearable for them, but fortunately, the temperature inside the tent was just right. The base had cooling systems installed; it was clear that this facility had a substantial energy power plant.
As he drifted off amidst the noise, Lu Fei Fan found himself slipping into a light sleep. Ever since practicing "Fu Mai Xi Shu," he had learned to control whether he entered light or deep sleep. This unexpected ability allowed his body to optimize its functions while maintaining a state ready for action at any moment, enabling him to wake up instantly when danger approached.
However, two hours passed quickly. When Lu Fei Fan awoke, it was nearly three in the afternoon.
The group had packed their gear, and the horse team stood side by side with Da Fu Ge outside. From their appearance, they seemed to have agreed on a route.
"According to the intel from Ren Dongchuan, Thunderfang Wolf should be in K Zone, several dozen kilometers from the base. We’ve rented two open-top SUVs," Da Fu Ge explained, handing out maps and communication watches to everyone. "Remember the routes and coordinates of special buildings on the map; that's your hope of surviving and getting home."
Lu Fei Fan examined the military communication watch and tested its functionality. It was indeed better than a brain implant since it didn’t require a network; instead, it utilized military satellite communications, making it much more reliable.
The two SUVs were divided into two teams—one in front and one behind. Lu Fei Fan rode with Da Biao, Fu Qinqin, and Cai Bi in one vehicle while Cai Bi joined the captain, Da Fu Ge, and Jiu Ye in the other. Each person had their Energy Submachine Gun ready with safety off and bullets chambered.
As the Military Jeep drove out of the base, the Guard Soldiers opened the Gate, allowing them to pass.
However, just as they left the base, they encountered the Bauhinia Squad waiting at the entrance.
Suma sat on the Jeep with her arms crossed, seemingly having been waiting for them.
"How's it going? Want to team up?" Suma called out to the cavalry.
The cavalry member reached up to grab the roof rail, pulling himself out of his seat and walking over to Suma. "What's up? Can't handle your own mission?"
"No," Suma replied, her expression serious. "I used some connections to look into my mission."
"And then?" the cavalry member asked.
"Originally, my mission was taken over by the Tiger Tooth Squad."
"Tiger Tooth? Lao Qin and his team." The cavalry member's expression immediately turned grave.
"Yes, but they lost two members from their Special Operations Team. I just called him, and he told me that last time they weren't careful and suffered a huge loss. They walked into a beast's den and were ambushed—two died and two were severely injured... In the end, they didn't complete the mission," Suma said gravely.
"So you want to temporarily ally with us for safety?" The cavalry member raised an eyebrow.
"Yes, that's the idea. I don't know if you're interested," Suma inquired.
Just then, the sound of an engine roared as two Jeeps rolled out of the base in a cloud of dust. Sun Xingcai was in the front vehicle.
Behind him stood two hulking figures like Iron Towers, their expressions lewd.
"Hey, isn't that Suma? Found yourself a babysitter so soon?"
“Are you interested in collaborating with us? I guarantee it will be a blast for you and your team!”
“Haha, ha ha.”
Sun Xingcai seemed unconcerned about her Blood Wolf Squad members teasing the Bauhinia Squad. Indeed, there were two members of the Female Team in one of the Bauhinia Squad's vehicles, and they looked quite appealing.
Suddenly, Suma drew her gun and fired. The sound echoed as the rearview mirror of the SUV occupied by the Blood Wolf Squad shattered into pieces, startling the squad members into drawing their own weapons.
Only then did Sun Xingcai wave her hand for them to lower their guns.
“Ma Dapao, if we finish our mission early, be careful on your way back.”
With that, Sun Xingcai made a forward gesture, and the vehicle roared to life, speeding away as the squad members howled like wild beasts.
As she watched the notorious Blood Wolf Squad disappear into the dust, Suma snapped back to reality and continued her discussion with Ma Dapao.
“So, what do you think? Are you interested?” Suma asked again.
“We can stay in touch. If we need support from each other, we can contact each other urgently.” Ma Dapao said as he took off his communication watch and handed it to Suma.
“Alright.” Suma seemed somewhat dissatisfied with this response. “But let me say this: I have a bad feeling about this mission. If anything seems off, pull out immediately.”
With that, Suma took off her communication watch and handed it to Ma Dapao, taking his watch in exchange before getting into her SUV and driving away.
Ma Dapao didn’t think much of it either. He returned to his vehicle and handed the communication watch to Da Fu Ge. They exchanged watches; it seemed this wasn’t their first time dealing with such situations.
It appeared that Bauhinia had a history of collaboration with the Fei Hu Battle Team.
The convoy set off again, gradually moving away from the base amidst swirling dust, heading toward the Wild Desert of the island.
The advantage of the desert terrain, or the Gobi, is the wide-open visibility. Of course, the temperature is steadily rising, but fortunately, both off-road vehicles are stocked with fresh water. Amid the roaring engines, they advance towards the designated location guided by the positioning function of their communication watches.
When the vehicles reach a spot in the Gobi, the horse team signals to stop, and everyone jumps out of the cars.
He and Da Fu Ge make their way up a Gobi hill. The two use binoculars to survey the surrounding terrain and greet Fu Qinqin and Lu Fei Fan, who are lurking behind the off-road vehicles.
Soon after, commands are issued through the communication channel.
"Several Stone Leopard Dogs have been spotted near the hills ahead. These creatures usually like to collect shiny objects for their nests; let’s try our luck. Fei Fan, come with me to scout. Qin Qin and Jia Jia will follow us closely for support, while the rest stay alert."
Receiving the order, Lu Fei Fan prepares to grab his pack along with his Energy Sniper Rifle.
"No, we need to travel light. The sound of hot weapons will attract other predators," the horse team leader reminds him.
Reluctantly, Lu Fei Fan leaves his gun in the vehicle and takes his Silver Sparrow instead. He then follows the leader, Fu Qinqin, and Jia Jia as they lower their bodies and stealthily approach the territory of the Stone Leopard Dogs.
After walking a few dozen meters, they can hear the barking of the Stone Leopard Dogs. The low growls indicate that they are communicating with each other while lingering around a burrow. Some Stone Leopard Dogs can be seen entering and exiting from within.
This is Lu Fei Fan's first encounter with these wild dogs that have a spotted appearance like leopards but whose skin resembles piles of stone. They are as large as leopards and remarkably strong.
The horse team signals for Fu Qinqin and Jia Jia to flank from behind!
As they circle around, he leads Lu Fei Fan toward the burrow along the rocks. Just when they are about ten meters away from the entrance, a sudden bark erupts!
A Stone Leopard Dog charges out from somewhere and leaps viciously toward the horse team's heads!
"Watch out, Captain!" Lu Fei Fan shouts urgently.
In that critical moment, the horse team leader swiftly bends down and turns around. He feels the surrounding air swirling and converging into his hands before he delivers a powerful punch at the charging Stone Leopard Dog!
Bang!
A low growl echoed as the Stone Leopard Dog was sent flying by a punch from the cavalry, crashing against the stone wall and falling to the ground with a thud. The commotion startled the other Stone Leopard Dogs nearby.
Lu Fei Fan then noticed that the cavalry was wearing Black Metal gloves on both hands!
Woof! Woof! Woof!
Instantly, the surrounding Stone Leopard Dogs seemed to be enraged.
Drawing his Silver Sparrow with a clang, Lu Fei Fan thought that since they had been exposed, he might as well charge in fiercely.
The Silver Sparrow gleamed coldly in Lu Fei Fan's hands as he wielded the Silver Sparrow War Blade, fearlessly facing the three Stone Leopard Dogs lunging at him!
The cavalry wanted to remind him to be cautious, but they noticed that Lu Fei Fan's footwork was quite peculiar. The Zhan Dao in his hand moved like a precise surgical knife; with each slash, blood erupted from the Stone Leopard Dogs.
The cavalry was momentarily stunned; they hadn't expected Lu Fei Fan's close-quarters combat skills to be so refined. Without hesitation, they gathered their energy and sent flying four or five of the Stone Leopard Dogs that were surrounding them!
The battle at the cave entrance quickly came to an end. The two of them brutally took down over ten Stone Leopard Dogs. Once they confirmed that no more Stone Leopard Dogs were emerging from the cave, they crouched down and entered, wondering if there might be any unexpected treasures within this Stone Leopard Dog's lair.
