As the conversation between the two concluded, Wang Chang entered alongside Jiang Wannian, his expression tense. He quietly leaned in to whisper something in Jiang Wannian's ear. Jiang Wannian's face remained calm, revealing nothing, but Lu Fei Fan had a vague sense that it might be related to him. 0

Li Wei also stood up, her gaze fixed on the entrance. After a moment, the sound of hurried footsteps echoed from outside the courtyard. 0

“May I ask if this is the Hua Family? Is there anyone here named Hua Jun Tang or Lu Fei Fan?” The voice was loud and confident. 0

A group of people appeared at the entrance of the Hua Family, blocking it completely. Anyone with military experience could easily tell that these individuals were seasoned veterans, each bearing scars on their faces and bodies. They wielded weapons such as machetes, daggers, and makeshift pistols, their eyes glinting with menace as they surrounded the exit. 0

Jiang Wannian remained composed, sitting there sipping tea with his back to the crowd, not even glancing in their direction. 0

Wang Chang and Li Wei stood on either side, watching a short middle-aged man shouting at the entrance. Without waiting for a response, he stepped aside, and the group parted to reveal a robust elderly man with a square face and sharp eagle-like eyes. His white eyebrows arched like two swords, radiating an intimidating aura. 0

“I am he,” Lu Fei Fan declared as he stood up, regarding the elderly man and his companions without concern. 0

A Teng and Da Li had picked up two kitchen knives each at some point and stood ready in the courtyard. If anyone dared to charge in, they would ensure that blood was spilled. 0

Having emerged from real combat scenarios, these two were not easily intimidated by such a display of force. Moreover, within reach of their feet lay a bottle of liquor—an excellent makeshift weapon for close combat. 0

“Qing Er, is that him?” The elderly man called out behind him. 0

From the crowd emerged someone pushing a wheelchair. Li Qing sat in it with one leg in a cast. Upon seeing Lu Fei Fan, a fierce hatred ignited in his eyes. 0

“Yes, it’s him. He’s the one who broke your grandson’s leg,” Li Qing said, looking somewhat aggrieved. 0

The elderly man glanced at his grandson and sighed softly. There was too much bitterness and not enough resilience; it didn’t bode well. However, being the sole heir of three generations, this precious grandson couldn’t be treated carelessly—he was too fragile to be handled like an egg that could easily crack. 0

More importantly, the tutor responsible for teaching his grandson, Gu Li, had been killed by this very person with apparent ease! 0

This was absolutely intolerable. Gu Li had a long-standing relationship with the Li Family, even serving as one of his old subordinates. Over the years, he had diligently protected and guided his grandson. Whenever Qing Er got into trouble, Gu Li was always the first to step forward, never showing fear even when facing formidable opponents. 0

However, in the end, he could not escape the fate of losing his life, and it was at the hands of an unknown young man. This was something he could not accept. Therefore, no matter what happened today, Li Yingquan could not swallow this humiliation. 0

"Very well," Li Yingquan said, looking at the defiant Lu Fei Fan with a nod. "I will have someone slowly torment you until you beg for mercy." 0

"Old Li, isn't that a bit too much bullying?" A voice interrupted before Lu Fei Fan could respond. 0

Li Yingquan was furious. He was about to question who dared to interrupt him when he scanned the area and his gaze fell upon a calm man leisurely sipping tea in the courtyard. He couldn't help but shudder in surprise. 0

"Jiang Wannian!" It dawned on Li Yingquan that the other party was present. He did not recognize Li Wei or Wang Chang, the young mentors from the Xuanwu Guild, but Jiang Wannian's reputation was well-known in the Jiangnan District; he had even appeared on television. Moreover, Li Yingquan was a retired Brigadier from the military. 0

How could he not recognize the head of the Jiangnan District's Xuanwu Guild? 0

"Old Li, long time no see." Jiang Wannian finally stood up and greeted Li Yingquan with a smile. His gaze shifted to the fierce soldiers outside the courtyard, and dozens of them were taken aback. The previously arrogant atmosphere suddenly deflated significantly because Jiang Wannian looked at them with utter disdain, as if they were mere corpses. 0

Among those present, some recognized Jiang Wannian and were aware of his formidable strength, having heard that he was about to become a Top War General! 0

What level is a Top War General? 0

In terms of human strength classification, below Top War General are Elite, Veteran, and Rookie ranks. Each rank is further divided into three levels: Special Class. 0

Titles above General are categorized into top-tier, middle-tier, and lower-tier ranks, which are distinctly different from those of rookies. 0

For instance, Jiang Wannian might soon reach Top War General status, equivalent to a Master Fu-level powerhouse. Such individuals are not to be trifled with; even the military would treat them like revered deities. 0

Li Yingquan never expected to see Jiang Wannian here. It was hard to believe that Jiang Wannian had only risen to prominence in recent years—was it six or seven years ago? He could no longer remember the exact timeline, only that when he first met Jiang, he was just a novice, barely a second-tier player who hadn’t even qualified for the Special Class. 0

Yet, years had passed, and now Jiang had ascended to the rank of Top War General. While he might not possess the extraordinary talents of his master, the Mad Phantom Lion King, he was certainly formidable in his own right. The peers who debuted alongside Jiang had long been swept away by the relentless currents of time. 0

“Bringing so many people to my home for a ‘visit’ seems a bit excessive,” Jiang Wannian remarked coolly as he turned to face them. 0

Li Yingquan furrowed his brows, his expression tightening as he pointed at Lu Fei Fan with an accusatory glare. “Why don’t you ask him what he did to my Qing Er?” 0

“He kicked my brother, so I broke his leg,” Lu Fei Fan replied with a cold smirk. 0

“You!” Li Yingquan was infuriated, pointing at Lu Fei Fan in frustration. However, with Jiang Wannian present, he knew better than to lose his temper completely. After all, no one on his side could stand up to Jiang—unless his son and daughter-in-law were here, which might have offered a glimmer of hope. But they were busy with their business and wouldn’t be able to rush back immediately. 0

“Grandpa, why waste words with them? Just let us take care of him,” Li Qing said angrily, not recognizing Jiang Wannian. Seeing Lu Fei Fan’s calm demeanor only fueled his rage. 0

“Be quiet,” Li Yingquan snapped back, feeling helpless. 0

“But he’s still there, unrepentant…” Li Qing attempted to continue. 0

“Shut up!” Li Yingquan interrupted him sharply. The situation had escalated beyond what he had anticipated. The Xuanwu Guild was not someone they could afford to offend; if a conflict broke out, it would likely be his side that suffered the consequences. 0

Li Qing huffed in frustration, pounding the armrest of his wheelchair and sulking in silence. Yet, he shot daggers at Lu Fei Fan with his eyes, wishing his glare could pierce through and stab him in the chest. 0

Lu Fei Fan remained unfazed; he had seen such looks countless times before, and they rarely ended well for those who wielded them. It was the ones who could conceal their emotions and intentions that were truly terrifying. Li Qing’s mindless aggression was merely a pebble in the river of Lu Fei Fan’s life—one that wouldn’t even stir a ripple. 0

“Oh, so that’s how it is,” Jiang Wannian said after listening to Lu Fei Fan’s explanation, as if beginning to grasp the situation at hand. 0

Li Yingquan could not let this matter rest. 0

"The main issue is that he also killed my grandson's tutor. Even under the laws of the Free Federation, this would warrant criminal responsibility," Li Yingquan intended to use Gu Li's death as leverage. 0

"Tsk tsk tsk, that's quite amusing," Lu Fei Fan interjected, unable to hold back. "If I were slightly weaker and ended up dead, would you all, who bully the weak and fear the strong, face punishment from the Free Federation?" 0

"Hmph, if you were to die, perhaps your parents wouldn't face much trouble. But since you're still alive, they might have a lot more to deal with," Li Yingquan replied with his hands behind his back, not directly answering Lu Fei Fan's question but instead adding a hint of threat. 0

"If you dare touch my family, I will ensure that not a single one of the Li Family remains!" Lu Fei Fan said this with a smile, his eyes cold and mocking. 0

Li Yingquan's eyelids twitched; it was the first time he had been threatened by such an inexperienced brat. What power could he possibly have? If it weren't for Jiang Wannian being present, he would have likely been turned into minced meat for the dogs by now. 0

"Old Li, just consider this a personal favor to me and let this matter go," Jiang Wannian said casually as he sat down again, pouring himself a cup of tea as if nothing had happened. 0

"You must be dreaming!" Li Qing roared as he stood up from his wheelchair, pulling out a large-caliber handgun and aiming it at Jiang Wannian! 0

"Mind your own business! Die!" Li Qing screamed in a frenzied manner. 0

Li Yingquan's eyes widened in shock. "Qing Er, no!" 0

Bang! Bang bang bang— 0

Li Qing pulled the trigger multiple times in rapid succession! 0

The light bullets roared towards Jiang Wannian, ringing out like thunder! 0

A light bullet struck the transparent wall that stood in the middle of the courtyard, creating a shower of intense sparks. 0

A thick Pulse Energy wall separated Lu Fei Fan and Jiang Wannian from Li Qing and Li Yingquan! 0

Once the shooting stopped, Li Yingquan quickly reacted, striding forward to slap Li Qing and angrily snatch away the Energy Pistol that had just fired its energy cartridge. 0

"Young people can be reckless; I hope Jiang won't take it too seriously," Li Yingquan said somewhat apologetically. In reality, he discreetly gestured to his subordinates behind him, signaling them to quickly take Li Qing away. 0

After being slapped, Li Qing calmed down, realizing that the energy wall had completely blocked all his bullets. He was soon escorted away by two sharp-eyed Veterans. 0

Li Yingquan hoped to buy some time. If Jiang Wannian truly decided to turn hostile, the people here would be unable to stop him. For now, Li Yingquan could only hope that Jiang feared his status as a Brigadier. After all, he was a retired Brigadier of the Free Federation and unlikely to face any severe consequences. 0

Lu Fei Fan was also slightly surprised; he hadn't expected Li Qing, so fearless, to actually shoot at Jiang Wannian. If it had been him in that situation, he would have likely been dead by now. 0

Yet Jiang Wannian appeared unfazed, calmly finishing his cup of tea as if nothing had happened. 0

"Heh heh, why would I be upset? Young people are bound to make mistakes occasionally," Jiang Wannian said, turning to face Li Yingquan as he sat down. 0

Li Yingquan looked at Jiang Wannian, who genuinely seemed unperturbed. It was clear that Jiang was patiently waiting for his response. Li Yingquan pondered over Jiang's earlier words and quickly grasped the underlying meaning behind them. 0
