As Bai Xu Chang's words fell, a swift sound echoed through the forest. A smoke-trailing Rocket Artillery shot up from the trees, tracing a rapid arc before hurtling straight towards Bai Xu Chang!
Bai Xu Chang remained extremely calm as he watched the energy Ballistic Missile launched from the portable device. For an ordinary person, such speed might invoke fear, but to him, it seemed as inconsequential as a branch drifting by.
He simply gripped the hilt of his Tachi, drew the blade in a sweeping motion, and then returned it with a clang!
It all happened in an instant. Just like what Lu Fei Fan had witnessed before, the entire scene seemed to flicker slightly, creating an illusion of darkness passing by—that was his Blade.
"What a fast sword," Lu Fei Fan thought to himself, astonished. If it were him, he would likely not dare to take that strike head-on; it was too quick. He had only seen Bai Xu Chang draw his sword and nothing more.
Naturally, the incoming energy Ballistic Missile detonated in the forest with a loud boom, erupting into a ball of searing flames that engulfed the surrounding trees. The shockwave toppled numerous branches and leaves, sending shrapnel flying and even killing several birds.
At that moment, several figures emerged from the woods, all dressed in black leather jackets and streamlined combat Samurai outfits. Lu Fei Fan noted that two of them at the front bore some resemblance to each other. The young man on the right, sporting a ponytail, carried a Rocket Launcher; he was likely responsible for the earlier Rocket Artillery.
The taller youth on the left held a Fire Spider Energy Sniper Rifle in one hand. Behind them trailed four team members—whether subordinates or mercenaries was unclear—but they all appeared composed and deadly serious, equipped far beyond what one would expect from typical Evaluators.
The young man with the Rocket Launcher stepped forward a couple of paces, glancing at the young man wielding the Tachi. He chuckled derisively and said, "You truly live up to your reputation as Bai Family's once-in-a-century talent, Bai Xu Chang. My brother's Energy Sniper Rifle and my Energy Rocket are probably just toys to you..."
Bai Xu Chang looked at the two men indifferently and coldly replied, "I thought who it was; turns out it's just two clowns."
"You!" The young man with the Rocket Launcher seemed quite displeased with Bai Xu Chang's dismissive attitude. With an irritated snort, he retorted, "Bai Xu Chang, you may look down on us brothers, but Jin Xiangwen and Jin Xiangwu are at least fourth and fifth in line for inheritance within the Jin Family. What qualifications does a mere descendant of the fallen Bai Family have to oppose us?"
The youth holding the Sniper Rifle tossed it back to one of his subordinates and clapped his hands together. He glanced at Bai Xu Chang while pulling out a pack of cigarettes, lighting one up and exhaling smoke arrogantly. "Bai Xu Chang, just do us brothers a favor—give us Chi Electric Thunder Serpent this time. Consider it a debt of gratitude owed to you for future favors; how about it?"
"Not interested," Bai Xu Chang replied haughtily, holding his Tachi firmly and rejecting them without a second thought.
Jin Xiangwu nodded, as Bai Xu Chang's response seemed to be within his expectations. He continued to exhale a puff of mist and said, "We understand that there’s no such thing as a free lunch. How about this: you name your price—money? Women? Gene Cell Liquid? As long as it’s not too outrageous, we can negotiate."
Upon hearing this, Bai Xu Chang let out a cold laugh and replied, "I’ve heard that the second daughter of the Jin Family, Lao San, is quite attractive. If she could spend a night with me, I might consider it."
"You..." Jin Xiangwen pointed at Bai Xu Chang. "Bai Xu Chang, don’t go too far! If you dare to lay a hand on Sister Two or Third Sister, you won’t live to see tomorrow!"
"What an arrogant tone. However... it seems you’ve forgotten something," Bai Xu Chang reminded them.
"What?" Jin Xiangwu stopped Jin Xiangwen, who was about to draw his gun, signaling him to listen first.

The two exchanged glances for a moment but felt no immediate harm. However, the next second, the four attendants behind them suddenly erupted in blood mist as their chests burst open.

From the surrounding woods emerged numerous figures, each playing with daggers and Zhan Daos, provocatively staring at Bai Xu Chang. Some had bows, crossbows, Energy Rifles, and shoulder-mounted Rocket Launchers aimed directly at him.
These individuals were all formidable characters. Their stances, gazes, and movements revealed that none of them were easy opponents. Undoubtedly, they resembled a pack of wolves, circling around and closing in on Bai Xu Chang.
Dressed in white, Bai Xu Chang held his Tachi and surveyed the crowd surrounding him. A quick glance revealed at least over a hundred people.
"Now this is more like it," he said with a hint of satisfaction, his expression remaining neutral.
"What?" Jin Xiangwen thought he must have misheard.
"To be willing to spend such a high price to hire so many people against me shows that I still hold considerable weight in your eyes," Bai Xu Chang confidently stated.
However, this seemingly ordinary remark struck Jin Xiangwen and Jin Xiangwu like a resounding slap to the face, making them feel utterly incompetent and powerless.
Jin Xiangwen immediately erupted in anger. "Damn it! Get rid of him!"
As soon as he finished speaking, someone immediately pulled the trigger without hesitation on the weapon they had been readying for so long!

In an instant, over a dozen black arrows and several dozen Energy Bullets rushed forward with a piercing, terrifying whistle, all aimed viciously at the figure standing in the center—Bai Xu Chang!

As the attackers prepared to pull their triggers again, Bai Xu Chang's figure flickered and vanished like a shadow.
The crowd that had rushed to attack him suddenly let out muffled groans and cries of pain.
Then, Bai Xu Chang reappeared in his original position as if he had never moved at all. Remarkably, even the long knife in his hand had never left its sheath. Those who had charged at him fell to the ground in agony, writhing but seemingly without life-threatening injuries.
The speed of his movement was astonishing; even Jin Xiangwen and Jin Xiangwu were momentarily stunned before gritting their teeth and continuing to issue commands.
"Go! I will add one million to anyone who can injure him!"
With this declaration, the fierce-looking attackers hesitated for a moment but quickly dismissed their doubts. One by one, they fixed their predatory gazes back on Bai Xu Chang.
Bai Xu Chang scanned the crowd with cold eyes, as if he regarded all these people before him as nothing more than corpses.

Bai Xu Chang fought valiantly amidst the crowd, moving with ease. He didn't draw his blade; instead, he used the scabbard or the edge of his palm to strike. Each attack sent two or three opponents flying, but the tide of attackers surged forward like a relentless wave, quickly engulfing those who fell.
The sheer number of foes compressed his space to maneuver. He had no choice but to leap up and out, landing on the periphery where he began incapacitating or injuring those who surrounded him.
In the blink of an eye, thirty or more had already fallen to Bai Xu Chang's hands. At this rate, even if a thousand people attacked him, it would pose little threat.
Jin Xiangwen exchanged glances with Jin Xiangwu, then nodded. He led a few others toward where Bai Xu Chang was engaged in battle with the Chi Electric Thunder Serpent.
Jin Xiangwu drew a Zhan Dao and charged into the throng surrounding Bai Xu Chang with a group of men.
Their goal was the spoils of war; as for Bai Xu Chang, they realized that this small number of people might suffice against an ordinary foe but was woefully inadequate against someone as formidable as Bai Xu Chang. It would be wiser to seize the Chi Electric Thunder Serpent instead!
