Lu Fei Fan sensed a bright light above him. Looking up, he saw a glowing orb spinning and continuously drawing tiny, seemingly insignificant strands of Pulse Energy from his body, all accumulating within the orb.
"What is this...?"
The orb began to float down, hovering in front of Lu Fei Fan as it continued to rotate and transform.
"Hmm?" Lu Fei Fan felt a realization dawn upon him; this orb seemed to reflect the changes in his own thoughts. What should he transform it into?
A fleeting image crossed his mind of the Magic Cube that had protected him aboard the Ancient Battleship. The shape of the orb morphed into a Magic Cube surrounded by swirling White Energy.
Since it was a Magic Cube, it should consist of smaller square components. Thus, the large Energy Cube began to split apart into the Magic Cube that resided in Lu Fei Fan's mind. They disassembled in mid-air like a slow-motion breakdown, shattering into numerous perfect cubes. Finally, they reassembled into a distinctly patterned Energy Cube.
As if made of solid matter, they landed in Lu Fei Fan's hands. He picked one up and rotated it a few times; it felt quite substantial. However, using the Magic Cube as a weapon seemed somewhat impractical for real combat. What form would be more suitable?
Thus, the energy-like structure of the Magic Cube began to disassemble again, pieces floating in mid-air. Lu Fei Fan rested his chin on his hand, deep in thought, illuminated by the soft glow that highlighted his contemplative expression.
On the ground, spiders crawled slowly by. Lu Fei Fan felt a pull of inspiration and crouched down to observe one closely before standing up again, reflecting on the habits of spiders.
They could spin webs, ensnare prey, and even consume any creature to convert it into energy. More importantly, they could inject Venom... Although these carnivorous creatures were small, if he could enhance their venom for group attacks, that would undoubtedly provide formidable combat power!

Another beam of Pulse Energy flowed into the transforming cubes, making them tremble as if they were beginning to show signs of life.

Lu Fei Fan was engrossed in crafting a delicate creation, envisioning everything he could think of and infusing each aspect with Pulse Energy, granting these Magic Cubes the characteristics he had just imagined.
The Magic Cubes began to morph; a head suddenly sprouted from the top of one cube, with two metallic tubes protruding from the front—whether they were eyes or something else was unclear. Four segmented limbs emerged from either side. It landed in Lu Fei Fan's palm, its size only about one-third that of his hand. It could even adjust its size at will, making mechanical sounds as it climbed back and forth like a real spider.
“Robot Spider… not bad,” Lu Fei Fan remarked as he observed the mechanical spiders in his palm. With a thought, he directed them to descend from their floating state and land on the ground.
Once these former Energy Cubes hit the ground, they all sprang forth with heads and extended their mechanical limbs, scuttling towards a nearby tree.
With a series of crunching sounds, the robot spiders easily gnawed through the tree trunk!
The trunk crashed down with a loud thud, and then they all crawled back to Lu Fei Fan's feet, arranging themselves neatly into a square formation like a disciplined squad.
Lu Fei Fan counted them—seven in total. This was precisely the number needed to form a three-tier Magic Cube.
He waved his hand, and the mechanical spiders gathered together, retracting their heads and limbs, transforming back into a perfect three-dimensional Magic Cube.
Lu Fei Fan picked up the Energy Cube. It seemed that this was the result of his awakened Ability. As for how to use it, he would need to practice more.
However, with such a group of Fellows, he now had an extra trump card. If their numbers grew to thousands, what a spectacular fighting force that would be!

The Chi Electric Thunder Serpents were not only incredibly fast; they also possessed a potent venom. Just one bite could cause your entire nervous system to collapse within three seconds. Without an antidote within half a minute, anyone bitten would likely be left waiting for death.
What amazed Lu Fei Fan even more was that the two Chi Electric Thunder Serpents could intertwine their bodies and tails as they leaped and spun towards the young man. Slightly taken aback, the young man raised his Tachi, which had remained sheathed until now, and swept it through the air.
Bang.
The two Chi Electric Thunder Serpents were sent flying, crashing to the ground. They immediately raised their terrifying heads again. Their bodies were as large as ordinary pythons, but their heads were flat and raised like cobras, with root-like spikes on either side—one red and one white—watching the White-Clothed Young Man with a predatory gaze, as if he were their formidable foe.
Lu Fei Fan deduced that these two serpents were likely a male and female pair. They fought desperately to defend their territory against humans without fleeing at first; could it be that they were nesting nearby?

The speed of the two Chi Electric Thunder Serpents increased even further. The young man continued to retreat, swinging his Tachi in rapid succession to block their attacks. Clang! Clang! Clang!
A series of sparks erupted in the air, moving so quickly that Lu Fei Fan could barely keep up.
At that moment, bang! Bang!
Two gunshots rang out from a distance, startling the young man who was fiercely battling two Chi Electric Thunder Serpents. Bang! Bang!

His expression darkened as he cast a cold glance toward the direction of the gunfire in the forest. It seemed he sensed something amiss. He quickly retreated several steps to create distance from the Chi Electric Thunder Serpents as the gunfire echoed once more.
This time, he easily dodged, as an Energy Sniper Rifle's large-caliber Energy Bullet blasted a large hole in a nearby rock!
Someone was plotting against him, likely targeting him because of the Chi Electric Thunder Serpents.
Hmph!
The young man snorted coldly, raising his Tachi horizontally as he focused on the two Chi Electric Thunder Serpents that were darting through the air like lightning.
“Ban Ying!”
He shouted suddenly, drawing his Tachi with a swift motion.
In that instant, everything seemed to flicker as if a shadow had darted past at incredible speed. The White-Clothed Young Man had already sheathed his sword, moving as if he had never drawn it at all.
However, Lu Fei Fan, being a Pulse Energy Practitioner, could sense the residual Blade Pulse Energy lingering in the air. The faint trace was so subtle that he hadn’t even had time to observe what had just happened closely. All he saw was this young man’s long knife being drawn like lightning, a blade that cut through the air like a shadow, causing the entire scene to ripple as if it had been touched by that dark blade.
“What kind of Knife Technique is this?” Lu Fei Fan had never seen such a fast Knife Technique before.
The two intertwined Chi Electric Thunder Serpents fell to the ground with a thud, struggling. As their heads separated from their bodies, they began to lose their sanity, biting at each other in a frenzy, injecting poison wildly.

Another shot rang out in the forest.
The White-Clothed Young Man tilted his head to dodge, and with a swift motion of his Tachi's scabbard, a stone shot through the air like a bullet into the woods.

A scream echoed through the surrounding forest.
The White-Clothed Young Man glanced around and sneered, “Come out. No need to hide anymore.”
Lu Fei Fan was taken aback; was this directed at him? Did he realize that he was secretly observing him?
