The mountain wind blew in from the distant sea, the humid temperature of the primeval jungle mirroring the atmosphere of this practical hunting ground. 0

The sound of gunfire echoed throughout this Practical Assessment hunting ground, rising and falling like a boiling pot, with groups of Evaluators pouring in like scalding water, scattering across the vast hunting arena to conduct their assessments either in teams or alone. 0

The oppressive jungle was filled with trees of varying heights; some were low shrubs densely packed together, while others were towering ancient trees that cast shadows over the sun. 0

Of course, after the introduction of many ferocious beasts to this hunting ground island, the original ecological balance had turned into a precarious situation. 0

A winding stream divided the wilderness between the mountains, its waters flowing slowly and crystal clear. The stones were as clean as if washed, and beams of sunlight filtered through the leaves, making the stream sparkle. Many bushes leaned over the water's surface, appearing lifelike, while numerous fish darted back and forth in the stream, full of vitality. 0

But the tranquil atmosphere was shattered by the sound of hurried footsteps approaching. They belonged to a pair of ordinary, inexpensive Military Boots—nothing remarkable in craftsmanship but among the cheapest, most practical, and durable options favored by civilian Mercenaries within the Free Federation's military industry. 0

These Military Boots heavily splashed down at the edge of the stream, startling the playful fish and sending mud and water flying. Just as this boot stepped forward, more footprints followed closely behind—these were paw prints of canines! 0

Suddenly, the surrounding jungle erupted with a flurry of birds taking flight; after all, a pack of fierce Ben Wolves could indeed instill a sense of danger in nearby creatures. 0

This pack of Ben Wolves was relentlessly chasing a young man. The young man moved nimbly through the obstacles in his path, his movements fluid and unencumbered. 0

However, when he reached a wetland formed by the stream, he leaped into the air. The pursuing Ben Wolves roared in frustration, fearing that this detestable human might escape their grasp. If they could, they would tear this damned human to shreds. 0

The lead Wolf Head stood out prominently; its eyes and head bore several scars—symbols of power. To become a leader among pack animals, one must challenge and defeat all rivals who oppose them. 0

The speed of the Ben Wolves was astonishing; with just a few swift strides, they were closing in on the young man. Yet he rolled away just in time and miraculously created some distance before diving behind a muddy slope to hide! 0

The Wolf Head roared in anger at this foolish human. Just as it was about to issue orders for its ten or so companions to surround this human from behind... 0

Boom! 0

The violent explosion sent it flying. 0

More explosions followed in quick succession. 0

Boom! Boom! Boom! 0

The rolling shockwaves instantly hurled the 'Ben Wolf' group entering the blast zone into the air, their wails echoing as dirt and debris mixed with the remnants of the 'Ben Wolf' scattered everywhere, a gruesome sight amidst the swirling blood and dust. 0

In the scorched air, flickers of plasma danced, indicating that this was no ordinary explosive but a 'Magnetic Plasma Bomb'. 0

As the explosions subsided, three heads peeked out from behind a dirt mound. Upon seeing the crater left by the blasts, littered with the bodies of 'Ben Wolf' sprawled haphazardly, they cautiously emerged. 0

"Hehe, Huahua, this tactic of 'Luring Wolves into a Den' is quite effective," A Teng said, rubbing his hands together as he looked at the numerous injured or dead 'Ben Wolf' scattered across the ground, excitement evident in his voice. 0

"Fortunately, the 'Magnetic Plasma Bomb' I chose from Arsenal came in handy. All that effort and energy weren't wasted after all," Niu Dali added proudly. 0

"Let’s get to work before the noise attracts others or any ferocious beasts," Lu Fei Fan waved his hand and bent down to flip over a Wolf Head's corpse. Confirming it was dead, he didn’t linger; after all, his 'Lie Hound' was only equipped with ten energy solid bullets, and once used up, it would need recharging. 0

A Teng and Niu Dali wasted no time either, drawing their Zhan Dao to swiftly cut off the ears of the injured or dead 'Ben Wolf'. This marked their third batch of corpses; they should have more than enough for passing grades. 0

Next on their agenda was locating their Venomous Nest Spider. These creatures thrived in damp or dark places, and deep within the hunting grounds’ ancient forests, there should be clusters of Venomous Nest Spiders. However, these spiders were social creatures; only mature females possessed Spider Sacs, which posed a significant challenge. Typically, a Venomous Nest Spider would be surrounded by a swarm of immature spiders for protection. Their silk could entangle and anesthetize prey, and if one were unfortunate enough to be bitten, there would be neurotoxic consequences. 0

Just as A Teng and Dali were busy cutting off ears, rustling in the bushes caught Lu Fei Fan's attention. He turned around to look. 0

A roar echoed through the air as a shadow lunged towards Lu Fei Fan with lightning speed. 0

Lu Fei Fan rolled away with the fellow who had attempted the ambush. 0

"Flower Flower!" 0

A Teng and Da Li immediately sprang to their feet! 0

Before them stood a massive spotted leopard, its fangs glinting menacingly, facing off against the fallen Lu Fei Fan. The reason it hesitated to pounce was that Lu Fei Fan held a heavy 'fang' Zhan Dao in his hand! 0

It was the Bloodfang Thunderstripe Leopard! 0

This beast possessed extraordinary strength and speed, capable of easily killing over a dozen Ben Wolves, making it the tyrant of this wetland. 0

Lu Fei Fan brushed off his clothes, stood up with the knife in hand, and thanks to his quick reflexes, he had managed to block the ambush from behind with his Zhan Dao. A regular Zhan Bing Zhan Dao would likely have crumbled under the claws of this Bloodfang Thunderstripe Leopard. 0

Without hesitation, A Teng and Da Li raised their Hot Weapons and opened fire on the approaching beast. 0

Clang! Clang! 0

The Bloodfang Thunderstripe Leopard's evasion speed was simply beyond what bullets could track. In just a few moments, it effortlessly dodged the trajectory of the shots. Despite its bull-like size, this creature moved with the swiftness of the wind, making it difficult to aim accurately. 0

When it became enraged, it lunged directly at A Teng and Niu Dali. Sensing the imminent danger, Niu Dali pushed the slower A Teng aside and swung the Rocket Launcher in his hand with all his might. 0

Bang. 0

The Rocket Launcher shattered, sending Niu Dali flying into a tree. His backpack burst open, scattering weapons and equipment everywhere. A Teng shouted and was about to rush over when a cold wind swept across his face. If he were hit, the Bloodfang Thunderstripe Leopard would surely slice through his skull; this beast was not to be trifled with. 0

Clang! 0

A sturdy Zhan Dao intercepted between A Teng's face and the Leopard's claws. Lu Fei Fan furrowed his brow and single-handedly used the 'fang' Zhan Dao to deflect the Leopard's deadly paws! 0

The Bloodfang Thunderstripe Leopard, still unwilling to back down, roared and retreated, circling as if it sensed that Lu Fei Fan was not an easy opponent and began looking for an opportunity. 0

"You take Niu Dali and head out to complete the mission; I'll handle things here," Lu Fei Fan said, facing away from A Teng. 0

"But your hunting mission..." A Teng hesitated. 0

"I can handle my own mission! Go quickly; you’ll only slow me down here." 0

"Alright! We'll wait for you outside." 0

Gritting his teeth, A Teng rushed over, hoisted the unconscious Niu Dali onto his shoulder, and turned to leave. 0

The Bloodfang Thunderstripe Leopard paid no attention to A Teng and Niu Dali’s departure because Lu Fei Fan was fully focused on it. If it dared to let its guard down, Lu Fei Fan's Lie Hound at his waist would not hesitate to take it down with a single shot. 0

It paced back and forth, filled with excitement and anxiety. Eventually, unable to contain itself, it reared up and swiftly struck with two powerful swipes. Lu Fei Fan leaned back to evade, his weapon, the Fang, slicing through the air with a clang! 0

To his surprise, he had actually been hit by its claw! 0

"Alright, let's go again!" Lu Fei Fan was eager for another round with this fierce beast. He wanted to hone his skills further. The previous Octopus had been formidable, but the speed and agility of the Bloodfang Thunderstripe Leopard were on another level. 0

Roar! 0

The Bloodfang Thunderstripe Leopard let out another furious roar and lunged at him with all its might. 0

Lu Fei Fan did not dare to be careless; he swung his Zhan Dao once more at it. Bang! 0

The two opponents collided again, sending out faint waves of energy. 0

"There's actually a Pulse Energy fluctuation!" 0

Lu Fei Fan noted with slight surprise that the unique ferocity of the Bloodfang Thunderstripe Leopard must stem from its Pulse Energy being stronger than that of other beasts. 0

Once more, Lu Fei Fan charged forward, engaging in a fierce battle. His Fang elegantly traced a beautiful whirlwind in the air while the leopard's claws descended like massive boulders. 0

Bang! 0

The sounds of combat suddenly attracted a four-person team from the distant woods—three men and one woman. 0

"The fighting is up ahead." 0

As the four emerged, they saw a person and a leopard engaged in a fierce struggle, seemingly a matter of life and death. However, Lu Fei Fan remained calm and composed, deliberately suppressing his own level to match that of the Leopard. Without using Pulse Energy, he focused on honing his Knife Technique. 0

"Hmm? Is that him?" The leader, an arrogant young man, frowned. 0

"What's wrong? Yuan Bai, do you know him? Should we go help?" asked a charming girl behind him, casually tossing her hair. 0

"No need. I'm not familiar with him. Hmph." The speaker was Xie Yuanbai, whom Lu Fei Fan had encountered earlier at the Xing Luo Chamber of Commerce tent. 0

"Oh, so you do know him." The girl seized on the inconsistency in his words. "Why not go over and 'help him' out? It might be quicker, and he might even thank us." 0

"Come on, Hong Xin. Yuan Bai doesn’t even know him; let’s not meddle," said a young man with darker skin who was holding a Zhan Dao, chuckling. 0

"Hmph, look at that Knife Technique—so chaotic yet oddly intriguing..." commented a tall young man beside them, chewing on some grass. He had two short blades strapped to his back. 0

"Hmm? Some moves seem like standard military combat techniques from the Free Federation? Quite interesting," he added. 0

"Let’s go; there's no need to waste time on a worthless person. Don't forget we still need to find the Venomous Nest Spider King’s lair." Xie Yuanbai turned to leave, showing little interest in Lu Fei Fan's life-and-death struggle. 0

"What a pity; I wanted to get to know him better," pouted Hong Xin as she turned away with an air of arrogance. 0

The other two boys glanced at Lu Fei Fan, exchanged a look, and then turned to leave without a word. 0

Noticing that the few who had been watching him were departing, Lu Fei Fan suddenly increased his strength, channeling Pulse Energy into his Fang. With a thunderous strike, he accurately severed the neck of the Bloodfang Thunderstripe Leopard. 0

A spray of blood erupted as the corpse of the Bloodfang Thunderstripe Leopard crashed heavily to the ground. 0

"Forget it, I was hoping to play with you a bit longer, but being watched is really unpleasant. I think I'll stop here." 0

Looking at the corpse of the Bloodfang Thunderstripe Leopard, Lu Fei Fan sheathed his Zhan Dao and decided it was time to hurry and complete his mission. 0

Now, his next target was the Venomous Nest Spider! 0

Onward! 0
