After Lu Fei Fan's mother arrived to take care of his father, he left the hospital and headed to the agreed meeting place with Niu Dali and A Teng—a deserted dock warehouse. It was not easy to find such an abandoned warehouse on this island, but with the help of a hero, Lu Fei Fan quietly claimed this already deserted dock warehouse as his own.

“Take off all your clothes.”
“Take… take off our clothes?” A Teng replied in surprise.
Lu Fei Fan nodded, confirming his instruction.
“Boss, why do we have to take off our clothes?”
“You’re not actually interested in Dali’s impressive chest hair, are you?” A Teng exclaimed in a teasing manner.
“…” Lu Fei Fan felt an overwhelming urge to smack him.
“Could it be…” A Teng suddenly covered his chest with both hands, looking at Lu Fei Fan nervously as if he were staring at a pervert. “It’s only been a short while since we last met, and now you’re drooling over my good looks? You sick pervert.”
Lu Fei Fan impatiently kicked him and shouted, “Enough with the nonsense! Hurry up and strip! If you keep talking, I’ll hang you up and make you do one hundred jumping jacks.”
A Teng and Niu Dali quickly stripped down to nothing, leaving themselves completely bare. Lu Fei Fan sighed in exasperation at their antics before telling them to put on their shorts quickly and then sit down in the two barrels filled with ice.
At first, they felt fine sitting in the ice water, but after a while, their bottoms became unbearably cold. They squirmed inside like they were sitting on needles. Lu Fei Fan deliberately made them stay in there a little longer before starting their training.
“Open the D-Level Gene Solution in your hands and drink it,” Lu Fei Fan said seriously as he looked at them.

“Ah, it’s so hot,” A Teng said as he started scratching his body, which was turning red and swollen. This was clearly a reaction from the D-Level Gene Solution. He wrapped his arms around it and suddenly froze for a moment before lifting it upright effortlessly.

“Wow, Dali! You must have been single for years to develop such incredible arm strength! You lifted a steel bar thicker than your head without even breaking a sweat—impressive!” A Teng rubbed his hands together, eager to give it a try.
Niu Dali handed the steel bar to him, nearly crushing him under its weight. A Teng hurriedly shouted for Niu Dali to take it back before he resigned himself to defeat.
“What do you think your limit is?” Lu Fei Fan asked him.
Niu Dali set down the steel bar and looked around. He then approached an abandoned car in the warehouse that must have weighed several tons. Squatting down, he shouted with all his might and surprisingly lifted the old car off the ground, though it was clearly a struggle!
Lu Fei Fan nodded, indicating for him to put it down. He had a rough idea of what Niu Dali's awakening ability might be.
Beside them, A Teng looked as startled as if he had swallowed an egg at Niu Dali's display of strength. Lu Fei Fan turned to look at him, and A Teng, momentarily stunned, struggled to find his words.
“No way! I can't even handle that steel bar, let alone lift that broken car! What if it crushes me? The glorious task of carrying on my family line would have no one to inherit it!” A Teng protested decisively.
Lu Fei Fan picked up a stone from the ground and tossed it in his hand. “Since that doesn’t work, why don’t we try something else and see if you’ve awakened another ability?”
“Huh?” A Teng was momentarily confused about what Lu Fei Fan intended to do.
“Let’s test your speed,” Lu Fei Fan said, turning to him. “Run.”
A Teng paused for a moment, then took a deep breath and charged forward with all his might.
Lu Fei Fan tossed the stone in his hand, a wicked smile creeping across his face, and then swiftly threw it at A Teng.
Smack!
“Ah!”
A Teng was struck in the leg by the stone, stumbling and falling flat on his face.
Lu Fei Fan frowned; this speed… seemed to show no improvement at all.
Not willing to accept this outcome, Lu Fei Fan urged A Teng to get up and run again. This time he was slightly faster than before, but compared to a significant qualitative leap, he still had a long way to go. In the end, he was caught by Niu Dali, and astonishingly, his speed couldn’t even match Niu Dali’s. Clearly, his awakened ability wasn’t related to strength or speed. It seemed that vision wasn't the issue. The Hero then measured various aspects such as memory and hearing, but none yielded a clear conclusion about his awakening.
Ultimately, Lu Fei Fan gave up. When the two exited the virtual world and returned to reality, it was already dark.
After a long day, they were all tired and decided to grab a bite at a nearby restaurant. Lu Fei Fan then parted ways with them; he needed to go to the hospital to keep vigil for his father that night. Moreover, nighttime was the best time for him to practice "Fu Mai Xi Shu," so he wouldn't feel drowsy.
After all, the Unified Examination was approaching, and time was running out. Only by passing the Unified Awakeners Examination and obtaining candidate qualifications could he have a chance to earn the title of Fuser.
Yet, a question lingered in his mind, perplexing him.
What would his Empowerment be like if it awakened?
