Lu Fei Fan nodded, seemingly enlightened, and continued to read on.
He began to explain the most basic training movements: throwing punches, striking, and the footwork involved. It all boiled down to speed and evasion. This foundational fighting technique incorporated many elements from the boxing styles of tigers, leopards, and snakes, along with various kicking techniques.
Lu Fei Fan silently reviewed the material several times before entering the Virtual Network to practice. He found an empty dojo within the Virtual Network to spar against the Intelligent AI, which would also benefit his real-world skills.
Additionally, he followed the training guidelines provided by the 'Hero,' repeating each basic movement hundreds or even thousands of times.
In the virtual world, time passed more slowly than in reality. Lu Fei Fan sat cross-legged in his cell, eyes closed as if asleep, with only the Portable Superbrain Device connected to the Virtual Network hanging by his ear.
The night quickly passed, and as dawn broke, loud noises echoed through the prison.
Lu Fei Fan woke up and opened his eyes. After a night of practice in the Virtual Network, he felt no fatigue; instead, he was filled with excitement about trying out the fighting techniques he had learned.
"Can I be released now?" Lu Fei Fan asked as he stood up.
"Enough chatter. Get out; we're moving you!" a prison guard replied harshly.
Two guards escorted him to a larger cell outside. Initially reluctant, Lu Fei Fan was pushed inside when one of the guards opened the cell door.
The two guards outside exchanged satisfied smiles, and one of them even signaled to a bald man inside. Once they made eye contact, the guards jingled their keys and whistled as they sauntered away.
They had done what they needed for their payoff; what would happen next was beyond their concern.
Lu Fei Fan stood at the entrance of the cell, surveying his new surroundings.
Honestly, conditions in Federal Prison weren't great. The single cells were manageable, but this large cell housing nearly a dozen inmates was far from pleasant. Groups of prisoners stood inside watching him—some with brightly dyed hair and others who looked menacingly tough, including a gloomy figure that sent chills down his spine.
Who knew what crimes these individuals had committed? They all looked like troublemakers; he guessed that those confined in this cell were serious offenders.
"Tsk tsk tsk, another newcomer," a muscular man sitting on a bunk chuckled darkly. He was surrounded by five or six others who all appeared to be intimidatingly large—clearly the dominant gang in this cell while others stood in small groups watching curiously.
"What are you standing there for? Hurry up and come over to give Xu San Ye a back rub!" The bald man suddenly shifted his tone and shouted angrily.
“Ha ha, I’m new here, and it’s not that I’m unwilling to help with tasks like back rubs or foot massages; it’s just that I’m afraid I might lose control and accidentally leave you missing an arm or a leg!” Lu Fei Fan said with a smile, resembling a true gentleman.
“Hahaha.” The burly man laughed as if he had heard the funniest joke. “What an ignorant fool! He doesn’t even know who Xu San Ye is and what my status is in this prison!”
“Sorry, I truly haven’t heard of you,” Lu Fei Fan replied innocently.
“Damn it.” The bald Xu San Ye slammed his leg in anger and then pointed at the two men beside him, issuing orders. “You two, go and kill him!”
Immediately, two tall and muscular men, each nearly six feet tall, stepped forward towards Lu Fei Fan. However, instead of being frightened, Lu Fei Fan felt excited; he hadn’t had anyone to practice his fighting skills with, and now two opponents had just walked right into his hands.
The two big men circled around him, cracking their knuckles and loosening their necks. Their intimidating presence could make an ordinary person’s legs turn to jelly. But Lu Fei Fan just smiled as he awaited their approach. As soon as they got close, they roared and swung their fists at him!
Lu Fei Fan took half a step back, and then everyone heard two dull thuds as he landed punches. The entire prison fell silent in disbelief at what they were witnessing.
Both muscular men bent over, their faces contorted in pain because they had received solid punches to their stomachs, striking the most vulnerable points of the human body.
When Lu Fei Fan retracted his fists, he shook off his slightly sore hands. It was a bit unfamiliar to throw the first punch, but the speed had exceeded his expectations. He thought he would have to engage in a full-on brawl with these two, but now it seemed unnecessary; the other prisoners were clearly intimidated, even Xu San Ye was left dumbfounded.
“Step aside! Step aside!”
But soon enough, Xu San Ye pushed through the crowd in a fit of rage, determined to regain his dignity and assert his authority.
“You brought this on yourself; don’t blame me!” With that, he pulled out a sharpened iron piece from his waist, clearly a weapon used for stabbing.
He lunged forward suddenly, aiming the iron piece at Lu Fei Fan’s abdomen. However, Lu Fei Fan swiftly dodged and circled behind him. One hand seized Xu San Ye’s wrist holding the iron piece while the other locked around his throat.
“Do you believe I can snap your neck?” Lu Fei Fan asked with a grin.
Xu San Ye’s grip on the iron piece loosened immediately, and it clattered to the ground as he surrendered.
Lu Fei Fan didn’t linger any longer; he pushed Xu San Ye away. The man fell to his knees on the ground, gasping for breath as if relieved to have escaped from death's door. He never expected that he would provoke someone like Lu Fei Fan—a true calamity.
Lu Fei Fan no longer paid attention to him and turned to look at the people in the cell. He noticed that everyone was staring at him in fear, except for a gloomy man leaning against the wall in the corner, who remained unfazed. Lu Fei Fan glanced at him a couple more times but was not particularly surprised; he had seen many tough characters who were not easily shaken by such scenes.
"Ah!!"
Suddenly, Xu San Ye picked up a nail and charged at him frantically.
Lu Fei Fan responded with a powerful kick!
Bang!
Xu San Ye was sent flying, crashing against the bars of the cell with a loud clang before collapsing to the ground, unconscious.
"What’s going on? What’s happening?"
At that moment, it seemed as if they had been waiting for this moment; several guards appeared out of nowhere, shouting. A few guards rushed in and quickly assessed the situation, glancing at the fallen individuals on the floor.
The guards also scrutinized Lu Fei Fan, but he wore a cheerful smile, making it impossible to tell he was the instigator. Afterward, the guards scanned the area again, and the cell fell into silence.
