“I am the Shackler who breaks the barriers of this world.” The man slowly exerted his strength, snapping the neck of the person in charge. He then released his grip, allowing the body to slump to the side.
The mysterious figure wearing a Mask stepped into the lighthouse hall, approached the control panel, and began typing commands on a Virtual Screen. The lighthouse emitted a piercing countdown.
“AI Consciousness destruction command confirmed. Entering self-destruction program. Execution in 90 seconds.”
The Masked Man exited the hall and ascended to the top of the lighthouse. Facing the dark, turbulent sea, he spread his arms wide against the fierce ocean wind, as if embracing the unpredictable waves that were beginning to surge.
“Let these roaring waves break through the cage of this era!” he declared.
Boom—
A deep rumble echoed back, and the earth trembled with a terrifying sensation from the depths of the ocean floor. Suddenly, beneath the heavy clouds, Hai Chao surged violently, forming towering tsunami waves dozens of meters high, rolling forth like an unstoppable force.
“It has begun,” said the general watching from within the Dragon Tooth Lighthouse hall.
Facing the approaching tsunami waves, the general stood resolute. Behind him, a screen connected to a Metal Ball displayed a countdown that had just reached zero. Outside, all around the lighthouse was filled with roaring giant waves.
Suddenly, a glimmer of light gathered at the peak of Dragon Tooth Lighthouse, rising like a tangible sphere of energy that expanded continuously. It resembled a golden energy orb swaying at the tip of a needle. Finally, that soft energy sphere expanded to several meters in diameter before erupting with a thunderous boom. The energy burst forth in powerful waves, radiating outward toward the monstrous tsunami.
Boom—
The massive tsunami seemed to pause for an instant as nearly ten-meter-high walls of water were forcefully vaporized by the energy waves emitted from the lighthouse!
Bang!
The lighthouse erupted once more, unleashing a second wave of energy ripples!
The tsunami wall momentarily halted, and nearly ten meters of monstrous waves evaporated like mist, sliced away as if by a blade.
Boom!
A third wave of energy ripples surged forth!
The invisible energy waves crashed against the towering tsunami, pushing it back and causing it to recede and spread out.
The remaining seawater that surged forward quickly dissipated under the impact of the energy emitted by the nine surrounding lighthouses, allowing the island that was about to be submerged by the tsunami to pass through unscathed.
Incredibly, the massive tsunami triggered by the earthquake crumbled under the three energy ripple impacts from the lighthouse. The strength of the energy released was enough to counteract a natural disaster like a tsunami—how astonishing that was!
“‘Environmental Explosion Pulse Wave’ has been launched. The lighthouse's energy is insufficient and will soon enter a dormant state to conserve power! Defensive functions will be shutting down.”
Inside the lighthouse hall, a mechanical voice reported calmly. Just seconds later, many screens in the hall went dark, and all devices requiring energy began to gradually cease operation.
“From here on out, it’s up to us,” the General said, turning to his Male and Female Aides as the hall dimmed.
Suddenly, the Male Lieutenant gasped in horror, pointing at the Sea Surface behind the General. “General, look!”
The General turned around and saw a layer of two to three meters high tide rapidly surging across the Sea Surface, black as ink, swiftly darkening the entire expanse of water.
Then, a black tornado descended from above the Sea Surface, continuously sucking in seawater. The swirling water vortex connected with the ground below, followed by a second and third one. Dozens of water tornadoes formed above the Sea Surface, their sizes astonishing—some nearly a hundred meters in diameter while others were around ten meters. From afar, these water tornadoes resembled hurricane waves, creating an apocalyptic scene.
“Hurricane Black Tide!” The general's expression darkened. “It seems... we are destined to face it.”
He quickly turned and issued combat orders with determination. “The operation is about to begin. Command all legions to enter the designated combat zone and prepare for defensive coordinated action! Our objective is to protect the Dragon Tooth Lighthouse!”
The Male and Female Aides saluted and swiftly turned to leave.
In the distance, dark clouds surged ominously, rain pouring down at an angle, the color deepening as visibility gradually blurred. All soldiers on the front lines stood ready, waiting for the apocalyptic onset.
Suddenly, a flash of lightning streaked across the sky!
“They're here!”
“They're coming!”
From the fortified position bristling with Artillery, various powerful Rocket Artillery, and Energy Cannons, someone shouted in alarm.
Everyone's gaze shifted toward the Sea Surface, now tainted black by the Black Tide. The lightning illuminated the horizon, revealing a dense mass of shadows appearing in the distance—at least hundreds of them—moving slowly like a swarm across the water.
They appeared towering, capable of walking upright in the sea, but even more alarming was the tumultuous water behind them, splashing as if some monstrous sea creature was gliding through, creating waves that surged dramatically.
“It’s the monsters landing from Hai Chao!” someone exclaimed in fear.
“Shut up! Anyone who dares to falter will be shot by me first!” The captains shouted to steady their troops. Those who hesitated were swiftly executed on the spot by the Military Police.
Gradually, calm returned to the defense line as everyone awaited the approaching monsters. Just as those creatures drew within two thousand meters of the Sea Surface, the battle commenced.
"Fire!"
On the outer sea, the sound of gunfire erupted. Cannon batteries, rocket towers, and energy turrets continuously rose and fell along the Coastal Defense Line, all aiming at the tumultuous waves of the Sea Surface, unleashing a barrage reminiscent of the apocalypse. Streams of colorful energy converged into a net of firepower, shooting out relentlessly!
The churning waters were filled with creatures being struck down and plunging into the depths. The massive cannons and various explosions detonated on the Sea Surface; despite the fierce firepower, it could not halt the relentless waves of invaders approaching the shore.
The monstrous forms surged forward through the crashing waves. As they drew near, one could visibly see strange elongated creatures being shot down amidst the frothy surf. However, behind them was an unending tide, layer upon layer, closing in within a few hundred meters of the Sea Surface.
Suddenly, massive spherical creatures with crimson bodies covered in Tentacles burst forth from the water. They floated in mid-air, then ejected red Meatballs that rained down upon the Coast defense base.
Upon crashing onto the Ground, they quickly transformed from spheres into their true forms—grotesque marine mutants covered in Tentacles and Tentacle-like appendages. They unleashed a frenzied assault on the human lines at the Coast base.
With much of the Coastal Defense Line's firepower diminished, the tide of monsters accelerated their advance towards the shore. Twisted and evolved creatures, some as large as trucks or elephants, began to swarm ashore, launching an overwhelming assault on humanity's seemingly impregnable Coastal Defense Line.
In the distance, towering creatures nearly a hundred meters high approached. Upon closer inspection, their grotesque forms revealed their terrifying destructive capabilities.
There were hideous giants covered in spines with toothy maws, or grotesque reptilian beasts crawling on four limbs like dinosaurs. Some resembled ape-like creatures with three or four heads and scaly bodies that walked upright.
"It's Deep Sea Hyper-Mutated Predator Creatures!" someone shouted from the Coast defense line, causing panic to spread among the ranks.
Fear began to take root as people retreated; more artillery shifted its focus to these towering monsters. It would take a concentrated barrage to seriously wound one creature, but there were simply too many monsters now landing on Dragon Tooth Island Chain. The pressure on the outermost Coastal Defense Line was nearing collapse. In addition to these deep-sea Predators, there were countless other creatures attacking en masse from the waves.
At that moment, three forces surged forward from humanity's rear lines to reinforce the front: 'Roar', 'Death Scythe', and 'God'—three Trump Card level Lighthouse Guards comprised of humanity's elite Fusers. Each Special Operations Team varied in size; some had over ten members while others had only a few, but every individual was exceptionally gifted and incredibly formidable.
Amidst the blood-soaked Coast defense line, the Human Legion unleashed astonishing killing power against the ferocious tide of monsters!
On the battlefield, flames erupted continuously from the ground, unleashed by a gaunt old man casting the Fire God Storm!
Beside him, gusts of wind swirled up like dragon serpents, shaking the earth!
This was the work of a short-haired woman, shouting as she invoked the Hurricane Dragon!
In the distance, countless icicles and hailstones rained down upon the land, crushing a large number of monsters and freezing many into ice sculptures!
This was another young Fuser unleashing the Giant Ice Roar...
There were also Energy Crystal Explosions, Hell Thunder Swords, and Purple Flame Pythons...
Various abilities blossomed like a hundred flowers, transforming the coastal waters into a hellish battlefield. A tide of monsters fell like corpses, their bodies torn apart by the energy released by humans. Yet, more monsters continued to surge from the sea, crashing onto the coast. Many soldiers and even Fusers were directly overwhelmed by the massive horde.
The monsters swarmed like locusts, seemingly endless in their numbers. The coastal defense line constructed by humanity resembled a dam with leaks everywhere, as fierce monsters relentlessly battered this precarious barrier.
