Yunmeng Xianren followed closely behind. The three of them—two people and a tiger—ventured deeper into the ominous place, where the Death Aura thickened with every step, as if it could devour their very souls.
Chen Moxuan furrowed his brow, channeling his inner strength to resist the encroaching Death Aura. He understood that the danger here exceeded his expectations, yet he had no intention of retreating.
Finally, they reached the core of this deadly realm. Before them loomed a massive black hole, surrounded by a dense haze of Death Aura, resembling a gateway to hell.
Tiger Brother suddenly halted, its expression turning grave as if recalling some horrific memory. Slowly, it turned to Chen Moxuan and Yunmeng Xianren and said, "I know what this place is."
Chen Moxuan asked, "Tiger Brother, what exactly is this place?"
Tiger Brother pondered for a moment, seemingly organizing its thoughts before speaking. "Once, while I was treasure hunting deep underground, I accidentally stumbled into a black hole. I initially thought it was just a small cave, but it led me to another location. That place is the Abyss of Xianyuan Shengzhou."
Upon hearing this, Chen Moxuan and Yunmeng Xianren exchanged glances, both recognizing the gravity reflected in each other's eyes. If this truly was the Abyss of Xianyuan Shengzhou, then the situation was far more complicated than they had imagined.
"Tiger Brother, are you sure this is the entrance to the Abyss?" Chen Moxuan asked again for confirmation.
Tiger Brother nodded but then shook its head. "The aura feels exactly like what I sensed in the Abyss. Yet, I feel that this place is different from where I encountered before. Oh, right! The place I visited earlier was sealed by the Immortal Emperor; she might know more about it."
At these words, a determined glint flashed in Chen Moxuan's eyes. Possessing an immortal body, he had always been fearless when it came to exploring unknown territories. He stepped forward, intending to investigate the black hole personally and uncover its secrets.
However, just as he was about to step into the black hole, an invisible force pushed him back as if that black hole allowed things to exit but forbade any outsiders from entering.
What is going on? Chen Moxuan furrowed his brows, feeling a deep sense of confusion.
He tried again, channeling all his cultivation, yet he still could not take a single step towards the black hole. Yunmeng Xianren and Tiger Brother, seeing this, also stepped forward to try, but the result was the same; none of them could enter the black hole.
It seemed that something truly strange was happening here. Yunmeng Xianren pondered; it appeared that one could only come out from within, but could not enter from this side. He had no idea where this hole led to.
Just as the three of them were at a loss for what to do next, a figure suddenly emerged from the cave.
It was a member of the Asura Clan, cloaked in black robes, with a stern face and eyes like lightning, exuding an aura that sent chills down one’s spine.
"Who goes there?" the Asura Clan member shouted coldly, his voice booming like thunder, causing leaves to fall from the trees in the forest.
Chen Moxuan and Yunmeng Xianren exchanged glances and smiled faintly. Chen Moxuan felt a surge of delight; as the saying goes, when one is drowsy, a pillow comes to hand. He had been worried about how to explore this black hole and uncover its mysteries, but unexpectedly, someone had come to him.
He fixed his gaze on the Asura Clan member, calculating how to extract some useful information from this sudden encounter.
The Asura Clan member seemed to realize that these individuals were not friendly; a flicker of panic crossed his eyes as he turned to flee.
However, Tiger Brother was already poised for action. In a flash, it lunged at the Asura Clan member like a bolt of lightning. With a swift swipe of its massive claws, it caught the fleeing figure and tossed him back in front of Chen Moxuan and Yunmeng Xianren.
"Hmph, trying to escape? Not so easy!" Chen Moxuan snorted coldly and stepped forward, locking eyes with the Asura Clan member. "Is the other side of this black hole the abyss of Xian Yuan Continent?"
The Asura Clan member winced in pain from Tiger Brother's grip, revealing a hint of agony on his face. Yet he gritted his teeth and refused to speak easily.
Seeing this, Chen Moxuan's eyes flashed with coldness.
He suddenly changed his tone and said slowly, "If you cooperate and tell us what we want to know, we might just let you go."
"Otherwise," he continued with a smirk, "you should know our methods."
Upon hearing this, a flicker of struggle appeared in the Asura Clan member's eyes. His expression shifted as if weighing the pros and cons. Just when Chen Moxuan was growing impatient and preparing to kill him,
the Asura Clan member finally spoke up: "Alright, I'll talk. The other side of this black hole is indeed the abyss of Xian Yuan Continent."
"Yes," he continued. "It is fraught with danger; even I only dare to linger on the edges and do not venture deep inside."
Chen Moxuan and Yunmeng Xianren exchanged glances again, both seeing the gravity reflected in each other's eyes. If what this Asura Clan member said was true, then this place would become an excellent location for troop movements.
The words spoken by the other party clearly revealed a message: there was indeed a way to enter, but they were unaware of it. The Abyss was a place that even the Immortal Emperor feared, and the level of danger there was unimaginable.
"Take us in," Chen Moxuan said in a deep voice. "Once I confirm the authenticity of this information, I will naturally let you go."
Upon hearing this, the Asura Clan member seemed to show a hint of helplessness in his eyes. Suddenly, he pulled out a token from behind him and pressed it against the cave wall. In that instant, a chilling aura surged forth.
Chen Moxuan did not evade; instead, he moved forward, his body rapidly expanding as he grabbed hold of the Asura Clan member. The latter seemed taken aback by Chen Moxuan's reckless determination, as if he feared nothing just to seize him.
The Asura Clan member suddenly charged forward, and Chen Moxuan followed suit.
"Enough with the act," Chen Moxuan continued. "You wanted us to come in with you all along. You’re putting on quite a show as if we were unwilling to enter."
The Asura Clan member laughed heartily. "But your two companions seem reluctant to come in, and even if they wanted to now, they have no chance. Even if I die, you will die here with me."
Chen Moxuan shot him an annoyed glance and murmured, "Could it be that my death tribulation lies within your Asura Clan?"
The Asura Clan member laughed again. "Exactly! Even if I die, you will certainly perish at our hands!"
As he spoke, he seemed to invite death with an outstretched neck towards Chen Moxuan, as if saying: "Come on, kill me."
Instead of attacking, Chen Moxuan asked, "You seem to know who I am."
"You are the legendary Immortal One," the Asura Clan member replied coldly. "The Emperor has told us about you—immortal and indeed formidable enough to kill even the Emperor!"
