Upon returning to the top-level classroom, Anna and Lisa have been researching the materials they brought back, hoping to find a way to combat the zombie virus. However, as time passes, the situation on campus worsens, with the number of zombies seemingly increasing and their behavior becoming more eerie and dangerous.
"These mutated zombies seem to be increasing in number, we must be more careful," said Anna, her brow furrowed with concern in her eyes.
"Yes, and their movements have become more organized, as if being controlled by some force," Lisa responded, feeling uneasy.
Two
One night, Anna and Lisa decided to go to the library again, hoping to find more research materials. They carefully made their way through the campus, trying to avoid the sight of zombies as much as possible. However, when they arrived at the library, they found it had already been occupied by a large number of zombies, and the air was filled with a strong stench of decay.
"We can't go in, it's too dangerous," Anna said in a low voice, feeling a chill.
"Maybe we can enter through the back door, it might be safer there," Lisa suggested. They decided to go around to the back door of the library.
Three
They quietly made their way to the back door of the library and found that there were indeed no zombies here. They quickly entered the library and began searching for new information. Just as they were carefully flipping through the documents, they suddenly heard a hurried footsteps.
"Somebody's coming!" Anna whispered, and they quickly hid to the side, holding their breath.
Four
A tall mutated zombie walked into the library, its body covered in thick armor, its eyes gleaming with red light. The zombie moved slowly, as if searching for something. Anna and Lisa held their breath, afraid to make any sound.
Suddenly, the zombies turned around and rushed towards them. Anna quickly reacted, pulling Lisa into a corner to hide, but their movements still caught the attention of the zombies.
"Run!" Anna shouted, and they quickly fled the library, with the zombies hot on their heels.
Five
They ran to an abandoned playground on the campus, trying to shake off the zombies behind them. However, the zombies' speed far exceeded their expectations, and they were about to be caught up. Anna felt a wave of despair, but she knew she couldn't give up.
"We need to split up and take action to shake it off," Lisa suggested, her voice carrying a hint of determination.
"Okay, be careful," Anna responded. They split up and ran in different directions, hoping to confuse the zombies.
Six
Anna ran to an abandoned teaching building and hid in a dilapidated classroom. She held her breath, waiting for the zombies to leave. However, after a long time, what she heard was the roar of the zombies and Lisa's screams.
"Lisa!" Anna felt a sudden tightness in her chest and quickly rushed out of the classroom towards the direction of the sound.
When Anna arrived, she saw Lisa lying on the ground, covered in blood. The zombies had been knocked down by her, but Lisa's vital signs were becoming increasingly weak.
"Anna...... I'm sorry, I... did my best." Lisa's voice was weak, tears glistening in her eyes.
"Don't speak, I will save you." Anna choked up, desperately trying to stop the bleeding with first aid supplies, but to no avail.
Seven
Lisa's breathing gradually weakened, and finally she closed her eyes in Anna's arms. Anna felt a wave of heartbreak and despair, unable to accept this cruel reality.
"Why... why did it have to be like this..." Anna sobbed, holding Lisa's body tightly, her heart filled with endless pain and anger.
Chapter Eight
After Lisa's death, Anna felt an unprecedented sense of loneliness and helplessness. She knew she had to be strong, for Lisa's sacrifice and for her own survival.
"I won't let your sacrifice be in vain." Anna wiped away her tears and decided to continue moving forward, searching for more resources and clues.
Nine
Anna walked alone through the campus, every step filled with danger and the unknown. She carefully avoided the zombies, trying not to make any sound. She knew that any negligence could lead to deadly consequences.
One night, Anna discovered important information about the zombie virus in an abandoned laboratory. She carefully read through the materials and realized that they could be the key to her fight against the zombie virus.
"These materials might help me find the answers," Anna muttered to herself. She decided to take the materials with her and continue searching for more clues.
