The delightful mood was abruptly shattered by the phone call. It wasn't the invitation that caused the disturbance, but rather the fact that Chi Qiyun knew about her visit to the male model shop, as mentioned by Ji Yuyan.
It was summer vacation, and she had no desire to spend her days watching those two women bicker. Thus, she decisively chose to go abroad for a holiday, hoping to escape the suffocating atmosphere. Little did she expect that even after arriving overseas, Chi Qiyun would still linger like a ghost.
Du Chengyan's car slowly came to a stop in front of the hotel. As soon as the security guard saw the license plate number, his face instantly lit up with a warm smile. He hurried over, taking two steps at a time, and greeted in somewhat awkward Chinese, "Please come in."
Du Chengyan calmly got out of the car, handed the keys to the security guard, and strode into the hotel.
In the hotel lobby, several hostesses stood elegantly. When Du Chengyan's tall and imposing figure appeared, their attention was immediately drawn to him. It wasn't until he entered the elevator that they snapped back to reality and began whispering excitedly among themselves in their native language.
"Oh my God, he's so handsome and exudes such a sense of security!" one hostess exclaimed, cupping her face with her hands, her eyes filled with admiration.
"That license plate is definitely not ordinary; he must be a big shot," another hostess remarked with a slight frown, her expression a mix of awe and curiosity.
"This must be what they call a double-door entry in Korean dramas! His physique is just perfect!"
The elevator came to a steady halt with a ding, and the doors slowly opened. At that moment, two Chinese men were standing nearby, smoking and animatedly chatting as they approached the elevator, seemingly ready to head out.
However, Du Chengyan keenly sensed something unusual. With his wealth of experience in various identities, he could tell at a glance that these two were not merely tourists. Their eyes darted around nervously, and their conversation hinted at an underlying urgency.
When the two men saw Du Chengyan stepping out of the elevator, they were taken aback by his imposing presence. Standing at 1.93 meters tall, he towered over them—who were only about 1.80 meters—making the height difference glaringly obvious.
"Hurry up," one of them whispered urgently to his companion as he felt the oppressive aura emanating from Du Chengyan.
The three men faced each other directly. Du Chengyan's gaze swept over them like a sharp blade, sending chills down their spines.
As the elevator doors slowly closed, the people inside let out a long sigh of relief.
This guy was definitely not simple; just making eye contact with him nearly sent a shiver down my spine. The man who had been frightened earlier still felt a lingering unease. With a physique like that, it would be a shame if he didn’t work as a bouncer.
Another man seemed to be savoring the powerful aura that Du Hengyan exuded. But who cares about that! We need to hurry up and eat; if anything goes wrong with the Second Miss's arrangements, we might not make it back home!
The elevator stopped at the first floor, and the two men stepped out, one after the other, into the hotel lobby. Just as they were discussing what to eat and whether to grab a drink, two black sedans suddenly pulled up beside them and came to a steady stop in front of them.
Before they could react, five people got out of the cars. Without saying a word, they swiftly and forcefully shoved the two men into the vehicles.
“Boss, we have them secured,” reported one of his subordinates over the phone.
“Understood. If they tell the truth, let’s be a bit friendlier towards our compatriots,” Du Hengyan replied calmly and seriously. After hanging up, he stood at the door and pressed the doorbell.
The door opened.
Standing outside was Du Hengyan, tall and dignified. His imposing presence made it hard for anyone to approach him easily, yet his deep-set eyes held a hint of warmth.
