She tilted her head and looked at him, her eyes filled with a hint of anticipation. This time, Du Hengyan turned his head away.
"What's next?"
"The cup of wine!"
Chi Mu Jiu answered naturally, handing him her glass. Just as she was about to tilt her head back, Du Hengyan reached out to block her cup.
"What's wrong?"
Chi Mu Jiu asked in confusion, wondering if he didn’t want to drink with her.
"The posture is wrong."
Du Hengyan said in a low voice, with an undeniable tone.
"What posture?"
She asked, clearly feeling guilty. Chi Mu Jiu thought that although Du Hengyan was Chinese, he had grown up abroad and might not be familiar with the traditional customs of Huaxia.
"What do you think?"
Du Hengyan did not answer her question; instead, he swiftly snatched the glass from her hand. Without hesitation, he lifted her entirely and sat her on his lap.
Chi Mu Jiu was taken aback by his sudden actions, her mind going blank in an instant. All she could feel was the intense scent of hormones emanating from Du Hengyan, wrapping around her like an invisible net, pulling her into his embrace.
Her heart raced faster.
"Drink the cup of wine, obediently. Hmm?"
Du Hengyan's voice whispered in her ear, laced with a hint of seduction. He elegantly raised his glass, signaling for Chi Mu Jiu to wrap her arms around his arm.
Caught in his charm, Chi Mu Jiu unconsciously complied. From this distance, he looked incredibly handsome! His perfect facial features, deep-set eyes, and high nose bridge captivated her completely.
Her delicate wrists wrapped around his strong arm. Due to their height difference and the reach of his arm, Du Hengyan waited until she drank from her glass before finishing the red wine in hers in one gulp.
The etiquette of the country dictated that after sharing a cup of wine, it was time to enter the bridal chamber. Du Hengyan lowered his gaze to the little one sitting on his lap, a wicked smile curling at the corners of his mouth.
He noticed her small hands tightly gripping the wine glass, her fair neck flushed with a rosy hue, clearly embarrassed. He couldn't help but tease her a bit. This shy and charming demeanor was something he found utterly delightful.
"Ah?! You're not..." Chi Mu Jiu stammered, her words tumbling out in confusion.
Her cheeks were burning! Just one comment from this man sent her heart racing.
"How about I come find you tonight? I can't just take your money for nothing, can I, little one?" Du Hengyan continued to playfully provoke her, his tone laced with mischief.
Upon hearing the term "little one," Chi Mu Jiu could no longer contain herself and hurriedly scrambled off him. Du Hengyan made no move to stop her; instead, he watched her with an amused expression, his eyes filled with playful mockery.
"I have something to do first—" Before she could finish her sentence, she fled in a panic. Du Hengyan had intended to get up and stop her but hesitated, fearing he might scare her again. He simply watched her hurriedly retreating figure.
Now, the VIP room was left with only Du Hengyan lounging on the sofa with his legs crossed, surrounded by silence. There was no sound coming from outside either. Just as he was about to call his men outside, he noticed a piece of paper being slipped through the slightly ajar door.
He stepped forward to read the note and couldn't help but chuckle as he shook his head. Afterward, he tucked the note into his pocket.
