Moon - Inner Realm - Imperial Palace 0

The azure flames burned wildly, stretching from the corpses in the trench line all the way to the grand entrance of the Imperial Palace ahead. The scorched earth crackled with sounds reminiscent of boiling water, and the dust scattered across the white avenue had been violently blasted to positions where it did not belong. The road that once welcomed kings, ministers, and dignitaries to the Imperial Palace was now littered with bodies, mixed with blood and an unknown viscous liquid that resembled thick paste, making it appear nearly impassable. However, the Internal Human squad treaded effortlessly along this path, the paste sticking to their soles and producing a dense, stretching sound that faded rhythmically as they advanced. 0

Xiu Sha did not want to step on such a disgusting road, even though he was the one orchestrating it all. At that moment, he stood on the platform of his war chariot, watching his army surge into the Inner Beings' Imperial Palace like locusts, following the blood-stained white avenue. Behind him, the "Hammer" motorcycle unit was lined up neatly, as if this final march was merely a simple military parade. 0

Xiu Sha was waiting for news, a piece of information that would bring him great satisfaction. He hoped that Nars, unable to withstand their assault and driven to desperation, would choose to hang himself; any method of suicide would suffice. As long as Nars was dead, he could confidently report to the Emperor Godslayer. 0

With this thought in mind, Xiu Sha began to stroke the horns that grew from his head with great satisfaction. His mastery of Spell Arts in the electric element had fully developed the bioelectricity within him. Even though he wore a commanding officer's coat, faint flashes of light could still be seen through his chest armor, revealing the currents flowing within his body. 0

This was a physiological trait unique to those with pure internal Human bloodlines who practiced electric Spell Arts. Coupled with his status as one of the only two first-tier commanding generals under the Emperor Godslayer, his position in the eyes of internal Humans was nearly second only to that of the Emperor himself. This was also why the Emperor was willing to entrust him with the command of the entire internal war army. 0

Now, the civil war has perfectly ended under his leadership. In the distance, the palace of the Inner Beings looks like a trophy he is admiring. He imagines a hundred different ways that Nars could die, laughing maniacally inside. However, as a first-tier general, he must maintain his image in front of his subordinates—a young man in his thirties who has led the Inner Beings in a fierce battle for five Sun years. Xiu Sha feels this is quite embarrassing, and he is filled with a mix of anger and shame. To him, the civil war seems more like a struggle to save face, with Nars' death being the only solution. Yet, he cannot deny that he secretly admires this prince of the Inner Beings. 0

Of course, this admiration comes with the condition that he dies by Xiu Sha's conquest. 0

Just as Xiu Sha put away his observation device, a messenger beside him reported, "General, we have received a call from the frontline sweeping army. Should we take it?" 0

"Go ahead." 0
The signalman connects to the communication device of Xiu Sha, "Commander, do you copy?" 0
"Received, report the situation." 0

"We conducted two thorough searches, and we can now be fairly certain that the 'Forbidden Zone' team of the Inner Beings has been completely eliminated. This is their last group of resistors! Furthermore, we have obtained the decryption key for the safety vault, so we can basically announce that the dynasty of the Inner Beings has been utterly destroyed! Commander, please issue a statement; now all of Kumul is ours..." 0

"Stop!" Xiu Sha interrupted the excited tone of the officer. "What about Nars? Have you found his body? Where is it?" 0

The officer suddenly fell silent. 0

"I asked you where you are?!" 0
"Commander, we have turned the entire royal palace upside down, and really... we haven't found anything." 0
A surge of anger shot straight to Xiu Sha's head. He slammed his fist down on the machine gun turret atop the war chariot, causing the barrel to vibrate like a string. An electric current surged through his body, and his eyes lit up like light bulbs, but it quickly faded, returning to their normal appearance. "Impossible, Nars has nowhere to escape!" 0

"Yes, we have always thought so, but we really haven't found Nars," the officer said cautiously. "However, we discovered a strange device on the top floor of the royal palace. You can come and see it in person; I believe it is related to the whereabouts of Nars." 0

Outside the main gate of the palace, someone demanded, "Tell me, where is your king?" 0

As Xiu Sha approached the front gate, he noticed an enemy still clinging to life, staring at him with wide eyes. He bent down to closely observe the dying Inner Beings warrior and asked the blood-soaked soldier a question. He noticed the mark on the soldier's shoulder, which indicated that he was part of the "Forbidden Zone" special forces squad directly under the command of Prince Nars of the Inner Beings. These individuals, who swore absolute loyalty to the Inner Beings royal family, must know the whereabouts of Nars. 0

The dying man merely curled his lip in a slight expression of disdain, and with his sticky mouth, he let out his last breath, casting a look of contempt and anger at Xiu Sha: "Dog of Ban Sa... I will never... ugh!" 0

Before he could finish his sentence, the cold gleam of Xiu Sha's battle blade flashed as it pierced through the man's chest. The last thing this warrior from the "Forbidden Zone" special forces squad saw was the blood he coughed up colliding with Xiu Sha's battle blade. 0

"Then I will fulfill your wish." Xiu Sha withdrew the battle blade from his body, turned his back, and slowly walked into the royal palace, followed by a whole line of battle chariots from the Internal Troops. 0

Following the officer's guidance, Xiu Sha passed through the magnificent corridors of the royal palace, stepped over the intricately carved staircase littered with corpses, and personally arrived at the top floor of the palace. From here, he could overlook the entire world of Inner Beings. At a glance, he could see the edge of the Inner Beings realm, and faintly even perceive the curvature of the underworld. He had expected to see rare flowers and plants cultivated by the Inner Beings royal family on the rooftop, perhaps even a swing for children on the lawn. However, all of this had been replaced by the bloodshed and violence brought by war. On the rooftop lawn, several heads were piled up like garbage in one corner, while their previously attached bodies were neatly kneeling on the ground. Deep blue blood pooled into a small lake in the trenches created by cannon fire, emitting a foul odor. 0

The soldiers who had originally thought they would receive commendation from Xiu Sha only received a slight nod from their leader. This was because Xiu Sha's focus was not on them; after years of warfare, he had long since grown accustomed to such scenes of death. The Inner Beings he had killed, aside from Nars, would not receive any respect or even pity from him. 0

The top floor was spacious, almost the size of half a football field. The officer who had previously contacted Xiu Sha led him to a strange device, stating that no one among them recognized such a machine. Xiu Sha circled around it; the machine was enormous, resembling a mold used for scooping ice cream, with a dusty yellow copper surface that was intermittently sparking with bluish flames. After inspecting it closely, he found no evidence that could definitively identify what this object was. Just as he stood directly in front of the machine, he noticed several energy indicator bars at the top, displaying the words "Charging Complete" and "Ejected." 0

"This is..." 0

Before Xiu Sha could define it, a deep voice came from behind him. 0

"The small meteorite escape pod launcher, Nars has fled." 0
Xiu Sha shuddered all over, hurriedly turning to kneel down, not even raising his head to see who was coming. Among the soldiers on the top floor, there were bursts of exclamations, and after a moment of chaos, they all knelt in the same direction as Xiu Sha. Xiu Sha slowly drew his weapon and placed it on the ground, solemnly welcoming: 0
"Emperor Ban Sa! What brings you here..." 0

Beneath the mask, is he smiling? Not a single Internal Human knows for sure; they never had the chance to witness the true face of the Emperor. In the minds of all Internal Clan members, their king—who once slaughtered nearly half of the Divine Realm with a battle axe known as Tear Star in the high-dimensional universe—will always be that robust warrior wearing a green and white mask. Now that the civil war has ended, he personally teleported to the peak of the Inner Beings royal family where Xiu Sha resides, admiring the territory conquered by his soldiers. 0

Ban Sa's entire body was covered in green and white armor, so with every step he took, there was a heavy sound of iron clashing and the metallic echo of his boots hitting the ground. Xiu Sha dared not look up; he was carefully listening to the footsteps that were getting closer and closer to him. 0

"Lift your head and look at me, Xiu Sha." 0

Xiu Sha lifted his head, gazing up at the cold eyes beneath the mask. 0

"The Time Portal has disappeared, and time is limited, so I'll be brief." Each word from Ban Sa carried the weight of a king's authority. "Xiu Sha, I must admit, you are my most outstanding subordinate. You have ended the millennium-long conflict between my Kumul clan and yours. You deserve to be remembered in history." 0

"Thank you for your praise, Divine King!" Xiu Sha remained half-kneeling on the ground. "This is a contribution I should make for the future of the the internal Clan." 0

"But you and I both know that amidst all this perfection, there remains a hint of regret." Ban Sa bent down and personally helped Xiu Sha up. "The king still needs you to don your armor and take the field. Although the civil war has ceased, if Nars is not dead, everything remains uncertain." 0
"I understand, my lord!" 0
"The king now appoints you as the commander of the Sun Army! And I can assure you, Nars won't get far. The only possibility lies with our neighbor, Vamulel, with whom we have never had contact." 0

Xiu Sha suddenly realized and looked at the small escape pod launcher behind the Emperor. "The message I need to convey is roughly this," Ban Sa turned and walked towards the disappearing Time portal, "I still need to lead the expedition to find the space jump point. As for matters in the Sun system, I entrust everything to you. I believe you won't let me down, Xiu Sha." 0
"Your subordinate understands!" 0

As the Time Portal disappeared, Xiu Sha turned back and gazed at the end of the sky—there was the dome of their underground world, the Moon People. Indeed, there was a small opening that led directly to outer space. 0
"Nars..." Xiu Sha looked at the dome, "Our grievances are not over yet." 0
