In the darkness of the night, Su Jianyang was still immersed in his unexpected encounter with Wu Cheng, feeling curious about the detective's past. His thoughts echoed in the corridor, accompanied by footsteps, as Su Jianyang decided to begin investigating this enigmatic man. 0

The next day, sunlight streamed through the windows into the police station office. Su Jianyang flipped through the case files, contemplating his next steps. He recalled the encounter from last night, and certain moments in the conversation with Wu Cheng raised various questions in his mind. Therefore, Su Jianyang decided to meet with someone, a young journalist named Yang Jing, who was full of curiosity about the truth. 0

Yang Jing is a young man who is somewhat famous in both the police and news circles. Although his reputation is not yet loud, his desire to uncover the truth is extremely strong. In a small coffee shop, Su Jianyang sits with Yang Jing, and the aroma of coffee fills the air. 0

"Su Jianyang, what do you want from me?" Yang Jing asked, his curious eyes fixed on the police officer. 0

Su Jianyang took a deep breath and began to recount the events of last night and his investigation into Wu Cheng's intentions. Yang Jing listened with great interest, her eyes shining with curiosity. As Su Jianyang described Wu Cheng's past, Yang Jing's expression became increasingly serious. 0

"It turns out that Wu Cheng was once a top student at the police academy and had an outstanding career in the police force. However, he chose to leave the police force and establish a detective agency on his own. Such a choice is truly unexpected," Yang Jing said with deep emotion. 0

"And, as far as I know, he also has quite a reputation. Many people from both the underworld and the legitimate world seek his help in investigating things. But it seems that he also has some psychological troubles," Su Jianyang said, furrowing his brow slightly. 0

"Psychological troubles?" Yang Jing asked in confusion. 0

Su Jianyang nodded and continued, "Some people say that the disappearance of his ex-fiancée Li Xiaoting may have been the cause of his psychological trauma. Li Xiaoting, a pain that he cannot touch in his heart." 0

When Yang Jing heard the name "Li Xiaoting", a hint of alertness flashed in his eyes, but he quickly concealed it and continued to listen to Su Jianyang's narrative. 0

"Li Xiaoting's family seems to be somewhat unusual. She comes from a well-known sacrificial family in Qing Town. But her grandfather went mad during a sacrifice, attacking the believers, and his reputation plummeted. People say that their family may be involved with a certain deity, and there are even rumors that they made a contract with Mosina Goblinoid, needing human blood to satisfy that deity." As he spoke, a chill ran down his spine. 0

"The more I hear about this story, the more bizarre it becomes," Yang Jing sighed softly. His journalist's intuition told him that there must be more secrets behind it. 0

"Yes, I think so too," Su Jianyang nodded in agreement. He knew that solving this mystery could be crucial to the safety of the entire community. 0

"Does your investigation into this case imply that the police suspect Wu Cheng?" Yang Jing asked keenly, wanting to uncover more information. 0

"No, we did not directly point the finger at Wu Cheng," Su Jianyang explained, "It's just that his past seems to intersect with this case in some way, and we need to clarify these things." 0

Yang Jing, looking pensive, as if he had thought of something, suddenly asked a question, "Su Jianyang, do you think there is some kind of connection between Wu Cheng's past and his mental distress?" 0

Su Jianyang gazed at Yang Jing with a hint of hesitation in his eyes. Finally, he whispered, "Perhaps Wu Cheng's past is the key to understanding his mental distress. It's also possible that all of this is related to some unknown force." 0

Upon hearing this, Yang Jing couldn't help but feel a tremor in his heart. He sensed the complexity and danger behind this story. He made up his mind to delve deep into every corner of this story. As their conversation continued to deepen, their curiosity grew stronger, and their goal became clearer: to unravel Wu Cheng's past, uncover the truth behind that mysterious event, and unveil the secrets hidden in the mist, one by one. 0

Su Jianyang requests Yang Jing to conduct a thorough investigation into Wu Cheng in order to uncover more clues about him. At the same time, Su Jianyang has initiated his own solo investigation with the goal of finding the connection between witch Li and Wu Cheng from last night. Su Jianyang has entered witch Li's Siheyuan in hopes of finding some useful information here. 0

Upon entering the Siheyuan, Su Jianyang did not find witch Li, so he began to investigate on his own. The interior of the Siheyuan appeared somewhat disordered, as if it had experienced a storm. After surveying the area, Su Jianyang noticed a chair that had been thrown about, seemingly the place where Wu Cheng was bound yesterday. He furrowed his brow, indicating that Wu Cheng may have been involved in a fierce confrontation yesterday. 0

Su Jianyang carefully searched every corner of the Siheyuan, hoping to find more clues. He noticed some strange marks on the ground, as if something had been dragged, which made him even more alert. He followed these marks and eventually arrived at the door of a small house. 0

The door of the small house was slightly ajar, and Su Jianyang gently pushed it open, finding various mysterious talismans hanging inside, and the table was filled with statues of various deities. This was witch Li's private space, and Su Jianyang's gaze wandered among these items. 0

He carefully observed the room, and suddenly his gaze stopped at a corner. There was a small table with a small bag tied with red thread on top. Su Jianyang opened the bag and found an old photo inside, showing Wu Cheng and a beautiful woman, who turned out to be Li Xiaoting. 0

This photo piqued Su Jianyang's interest even more, as he knew it could be a part of the clue. He carefully put away the photo and continued searching the room. In a pile of old books, he found a book about the art of Yin and Yang, as well as some records. 0

These records mention some legends about Mosina Goblinoid and some taboos related to sacrifices. Su Jianyang furrowed his brow, feeling that all of this was intricately connected to Wu Cheng's past, and witch Li seemed to hold more secrets. 0
