Rong Anning remained composed, even as Song Feiwan struggled to call out to him, "Your Highness! Please, help me!"
Xiao Yu's expression darkened as he glanced at Rong Anning. Song Feiwan could sense the disdain in his gaze. Wasn't she his cousin?
Fortunately, he eventually extended his hand, but instead of pulling Rong Anning away, he yanked Song Feiwan up. His strength was considerable, and she collided against his arm.
Rong Anning found herself suddenly alone, falling onto the bed. Instinctively, she reached out and grabbed the sleeve of Song Feiwan's dress.

His words implied that he had come personally because he was concerned about her.
Song Feiwan quickly dismissed that thought. The villain wouldn't care about her well-being.
"I was about to head back after sobering up when I noticed two palace maids acting suspiciously, helping Rong Anning forward. So I followed them. I didn't expect this to be Xiao Feng's resting quarters. When I saw Rong Anning had been drugged, he actually tried to take advantage of her!"
Xiao Yu asked, "Did you hit him?"
Upon entering, he had seen Xiao Feng lying on the ground, unconscious.
"Yes," Song Feiwan replied. "Is that not allowed?"
Xiao Yu smirked disdainfully. "Why didn't you just kill him outright?"
"You're the one who's domineering," she retorted.
Rong Anning finally freed herself from the blanket, lying weakly on the bed, gasping for breath.
Song Feiwan noticed and pushed Xiao Yu aside, moving towards her.
Xiao Yu's eyes flickered, and he immediately grabbed her wrist. "What are you doing?"
Her current condition was too dangerous; she needed a few needles to alleviate her symptoms. "Your Highness, please step outside."
