Her heart raced faster than before, thumping wildly as blood surged through her limbs. The pain from her lips clashing was replaced by the intensity of his kiss, and she could feel him clearly.
He was so high above her, a person of dark and ruthless nature, yet his lips were soft and warm. A tingling sensation spread from their connection, quickly enveloping her entire mouth. Unconsciously, her body softened further, and her tongue moved involuntarily.
The man, suddenly stimulated, tightened his grip around her waist and lifted her. As he kissed her, he turned them around, switching their positions. She found herself trapped in the narrow wooden chair by his strong arms, enduring his storm-like kisses.
Everything around her faded away; she didn’t even realize when she had closed her eyes. Time passed without her noticing until Xiao Yu finally released her.
Outside the window, a black eagle flew away after being struck by his internal energy. Inside the room, only their heavy breaths filled the air. Song Feiwan remained with her eyes closed, slumped in the chair like water, her hair covering a cloth that had already fallen away, revealing her disheveled locks and rumpled clothes.
Her eyelashes fluttered like delicate butterfly wings. A blush spread from her beautiful face to the roots of her ears. Her originally cherry-red lips now resembled blooming petals, bright red and glistening.
He understood how this came to be; his throat tightened as his gaze darkened further. It was not just frustration over losing control moments ago but also a struggle to refrain from kissing her again.
He had stared at her for so long, replaying the image of their kiss in his mind repeatedly. Each recollection only confirmed his annoyance at his own lack of self-control. He didn’t dislike kissing her at all; in fact, he enjoyed it immensely. The sensation lingered on his lips long after.
Could it be true, as she said, that there was something between them? His clothes draped over the chair had already fallen to the ground after their earlier kiss.
He thought Song Feiwan was too focused, completely forgetting about her obsessive cleanliness. Silently, he picked up his inner garment and put it on.
"Xiao Yu," a slightly hoarse yet alluring voice called out to him.
He turned his head and saw Song Feiwan raising her hand, his pupils constricting. With his skills, he could easily dodge, but for reasons he couldn't understand, he stood still and allowed her palm to strike heavily against his face with a loud slap.
Song Feiwan had already stood up, her head held high, her eyes red and filled with defiance and hurt. "Do you know I’m not lying? Are you satisfied now?"
Xiao Yu pressed his lips together, remaining silent as his long fingers tied the sash of his garment into a knot.
Smack! With anger fueling her, her hand came down again on the other side of his face.
He had endured many injuries, but being slapped like this was a memory he wouldn't easily forget. If it had been anyone else, they would have long been cut into pieces by him. Yet against Song Feiwan, he felt only a slight anger and embarrassment, along with an unexpected sense of satisfaction that even he himself did not recognize.
Song Feiwan choked back tears as she accused him, "You don’t listen to me or believe me; you’d rather kill me. Now that you’ve humiliated me, are you finally happy?"
Xiao Yu was taken aback, regret flashing in his eyes as he softly replied, "I didn’t humiliate you."
If it hadn't been for her falling down, he would have already pushed her away twice. He was a person, not a saint!
"Shut up!" Song Feiwan shouted angrily and struck him across the face for the third time!
