The victims were the male homeowner, Li, and his wife, Liu. They lay peacefully on their bed, as if asleep. Horrifyingly, their necks and abdomens had been slashed open, their intestines spilled across the floor, and their eyes had been gouged out and placed in a nearby cup, seemingly so that they could witness the gruesome state of their own bodies.
Preliminary examinations suggested that the time of death was between 2 AM and 5 AM on September 10, with excessive blood loss as the cause.
Chillingly, the wound on the deceased's abdomen resembled a blooming Red Spider Lily, and a portion of flesh that had been removed was stuck to the wall in a similar pattern. There was no blood seeping from the wound, indicating that the killer must have cut open their abdomens after they had died.
While the exact meaning behind the killer's deliberate Red Spider Lily pattern remains unknown, it is clear that their motive was likely one of revenge against this family.
Furthermore, the crime scene had been meticulously cleaned, leaving no trace behind. This suggested that the killer possessed a strong awareness of investigative techniques and was well-versed in evading capture.
At that moment, the team leader noticed an anomaly. It turned out that the couple had a daughter attending a local university; however, curiously, there were no photographs of her on the wall filled with pictures of family moments.
Although the situation was quite abnormal, it was impossible to determine whether it was related to the case. With no other options, everyone had to return to the station to discuss the details further. Shortly after their return, a sudden commotion erupted in the lobby on the first floor.
It turned out that the victim's daughter, Xiao Yan, along with her boyfriend, Xu Feng, and her close friend, Xiao Xue, had arrived at the station upon hearing the news. The captain explained that this was precisely what made the murderer so terrifying; once they realized someone lived nearby, they would choose to eliminate any potential witnesses regardless of whether they had seen anything.
Unfortunately, there was no evidence to support the captain's theory. The immediate priority was still to uncover more clues about the murderer. During an analysis meeting regarding the case, the captain looked at a photo of a Red Spider Lily pattern and began re-evaluating all leads related to the case.

At this point, driven by rage, she realized that Xu Feng would never be with her. If that were the case, she decided everyone should become a symbol of death and separation—like a Red Spider Lily.
Thus, Xiao Xue lured Xu Feng to the park by the lake and kicked him into the water. She then picked up a wooden stick she had hidden nearby and struck his head repeatedly until he sank beneath the surface.
Having completed her grim task, Xiao Xue sighed and prepared to find an opportunity to attack Xiao Yan. Originally planning to kill Xiao Yan and then take her own life, she was unaware that the police had already identified her as a suspect and set a trap for her.
With this, the Red Spider Lily Serial Murder Case was solved.
