"Wow, a rich lady!"
Ruan Fuxi looked at Yin You's profile on the computer screen and frowned. You are twenty-one, grew up in a wealthy family, your parents dote on you, and you have a younger brother.
Yin You's face lit up with amazement as she heard her words. "That's right! The host is spot on; this is indeed my situation."
The person who had been arguing with her, Chang Jian Wentian, was unconvinced. He squatted in the streaming room, trying to find a flaw in Ruan Fuxi's predictions. "You can get all that from just a few words? All I have to do is click on your homepage to see your latest video of you and your parents celebrating your brother's college entrance exam. If you let me guess, I could figure that out too."
Upon seeing this comment on the screen, Yin You hesitated for a moment. It did seem true; that information was visible on her homepage.
Ruan Fuxi continued calmly, "You have a happy family life ahead of you, with no major upheavals. There's not much to predict."
Chang Jian Wentian seized the opportunity and typed furiously: "Just a few words for three thousand yuan? You're not a fortune teller; you're a robber!"
He simply did not believe in any fortune-telling.
Yin You felt a bit disappointed upon hearing this. She had been looking forward to it but now thought these simple words didn't live up to her expectations. She had no intention of asking for her money back.
Thinking it was over, she prepared to exit the connection when Ruan Fuxi's voice rang out again: "I see that your brother's palace is dim; your brother will encounter misfortune."
Yin You paused in her exit motion and immediately asked anxiously, "What will happen to my brother?"
Chang Jian Wentian quickly typed: "Your brother is fine! What she's saying is just to trick you into giving her money. Don't be foolish! If it were me, I would report her for fraud! Three thousand already meets the standard for filing a case!"
New viewers in the streaming room were confused about what was happening but found Chang Jian Wentian's comments reasonable and began to echo him.
"Yes, there are many scammers online," she said.
"This kind of trick usually involves doing some rituals or prayers, which means you'll have to spend more money. They just want to see how easily you can be fooled."
Yin You felt a vague sense of unease creeping into her heart. Ignoring the scammers' chatter, she anxiously turned to Ruan Fuxi.
She had a great relationship with her younger brother, and even if the streamer suggested spending more money, she would do it for him!
Ruan Fuxi quickly replied, "Is your brother currently near water, like by a river or the sea? He needs to leave immediately; otherwise, he could be in serious danger."
Upon hearing this, Yin You's face turned pale. She murmured, "That's right! He mentioned wanting to travel after his exams, and he’s at the beach today."
Not long ago, she had reminded her brother to be careful while swimming in the sea.
With that thought in mind, Yin You immediately grabbed another phone and dialed her brother's number. After a long wait, an automated voice came through: "The number you have dialed is currently unavailable. Please try again later."
Yin You felt anxious and dialed again.
Chang Jianwen was still typing: "I told you not to panic. The streamer is just trying to create anxiety. Your brother might be busy and hasn't noticed your call."
At that moment, Yin You found him quite annoying.
"Shut up! I believe the streamer. My brother told me just an hour ago that he was at the beach having fun. How could I not worry about him? You say the streamer is a scammer, but she doesn't know me or my brother. How could she possibly know where he is today?"
