In the group chat, it was indeed true that a stunningly beautiful young lady had joined the company. As she guided Ruan Fuxi through the relevant work details and precautions, she quickly pulled out her phone to send a message in the internal group.
"I can confirm, we really have a beauty in our company!"
Her message received a swift response.
"Is she the new intern at the front desk? Her looks are absolutely breathtaking; I forgot to breathe when I saw her just now."
"I saw her too! With that face and figure, what is she doing at our company? Such talent wasted! If she went into the entertainment industry, she'd definitely become a sensation!"
"In three minutes, I want to know everything about this beauty. *dog emoji*"
The chatter continued.
"This intern has a lovely name too—Ruan Fuxi. She just started her junior year."
"Ruan? Isn’t that the same surname as our president? Could she be his sister?"
"Surely not! That sounds like something out of a TV drama. I heard the president's sister has quite the temper and personality... not exactly easygoing. There's no way she'd lower herself to be a front desk intern; you guys are overthinking it."
Everyone considered this and dismissed the possibility. After all, in their minds, a young lady of that status would be living a colorful life traveling around the world, not taking an internship that wouldn’t even pay for one of her bags.
Unaware of the attention she was garnering as soon as she entered the company, Ruan Fuxi stood at the front desk examining the layout. The entrance was spacious and bright, unobstructed, and not facing the elevator or any sharp objects, which was good for feng shui.
The front desk layout was simple yet elegant, with ample space behind it and some greenery that showcased the company's vitality. The money tree in the lobby was thriving as well.
Overall, Ruan Fuxi felt there wasn’t much that needed changing. To be sure, she planned to check out her older brother's office later.
Just then, a young woman dressed in a shirt and professional pencil skirt walked in from outside, heading straight for the elevator without glancing around. Suddenly noticing the front desk, she turned on her heel and approached.
Is this a new arrival?
The front desk lady switched to a professional smile and discreetly tucked away her phone.
"Good morning, Secretary Lin. This is our new intern; she will be taking over my duties for the next few months."
Ruan Fuxi greeted with a light smile, "Secretary Lin."
Secretary Lin glanced at her striking beauty and nodded slightly, then said, "Since you're a newcomer, make sure to familiarize yourself with the company's rules and regulations." With that, she clicked her heels and walked away.
Ruan Fuxi turned to the person beside her and remarked, "It seems like Secretary Lin doesn't really like me."
The receptionist looked around to ensure no one was listening and whispered, "She's the president's secretary. Although she appears approachable, she's quite proud. Not many people like her, so just keep your distance from her in the future."
Ruan Fuxi nodded in understanding.
She hadn't intended to get involved, but Secretary Lin soon began to assign tasks to her.
"I need you to print this document and deliver it to the conference room. Thank you for your hard work," she instructed.
The receptionist frowned slightly at this. Usually, these tasks were handled by the administrative staff. Why was it your turn today? "Fuxi, why don't you run this errand?" she suggested.
Such printing and delivery tasks were typically not clearly defined; they usually fell to either administrative or front desk staff.
Ruan Fuxi smiled and agreed. After printing the document, she headed to the elevator.
As she reached the conference room door and set down the documents, she unexpectedly ran into a group coming out from a meeting.
Ruan Huai looked at his younger sister. Even though he was usually calm and composed, he found himself momentarily taken aback.
Just as he was about to speak, Ruan Fuxi jumped in first: "President Ruan, I'm Ruan Fuxi, a new intern just starting today. My position is at the front desk."
