Ruan Fuxi clicked on the relevant mentions and quickly understood the situation.
It was someone who enjoyed flaunting wealth online, frequently posting pictures of luxury handbags, cars, and villas on their social media account. If it were just sharing photos, it could be dismissed as a rich girl showcasing her life, and others wouldn't say much. However, this person often commented on others' posts to highlight her superiority, making remarks like how ugly someone's handbag pattern was, how terrible the configuration of their car was, or how unrefined the color scheme of a dress looked. Over time, she had managed to offend nearly all the young masters and ladies in her social circle.
Ruan Fuxi couldn't help but click her tongue at such behavior. It was rare to see someone so provocative. While she wasn't particularly beautiful herself, she had certainly become one now.

Upon reading that last mention, Ruan Fuxi narrowed her eyes. She could tolerate insults directed at herself, as they were of her own making, but cursing the Ruan family was something she couldn't overlook. She clicked into the profile of the person who had mentioned her and saw it belonged to Liu's eldest son.
With a cold smile, she replied directly:
"Be mindful of your words; you might encounter ghosts at night."
Afterward, she opened her private messages. There were some claiming to be young heartthrobs wanting to date her, others questioning her identity as a rich girl, and even some who came specifically to insult her after feeling superior for a moment.
Growing tired of it all, Ruan Fuxi changed her account description to: "Five Elements and Eight Trigrams; Feng Shui and Fortune Telling. (Those who continue to insult will suffer karmic retribution; luck will be halved.)"
Then she thought for a moment before posting a pinned status: "Like, share, and follow for a chance to win a safety talisman."
Once Ruan Fuxi's post went live, it attracted a crowd of onlookers—most of whom were there to mock her. Among them were familiar faces and strangers alike.
"I'm dying of laughter; you say you know Five Elements and Eight Trigrams? I could just as easily claim I'm the Supreme Lord!"
After Ruan Fuxi posted those updates, she didn’t pay them any mind. Matters of metaphysics often depended on fate. Those who didn’t believe in her simply lacked that connection.
She then moved to the window, recalling the storyline from the novel about the downfall of the Ruan family, where some members died while others were severely injured. Her first task was to steer the Ruan family away from that fate.
As she examined the layout of the Ruan residence, she quickly spotted a problem. The two trees planted at the front of the garden not only obstructed wealth but also posed health risks to the residents, potentially leading to accidents and even bloodshed.
Clutching her turtle charm, Ruan Fuxi headed downstairs.
“Uncle Wang, when were those two trees at the front of the garden planted? They’re blocking my view.”
Uncle Wang, the butler, recalled, “They were planted not long ago. The gardener suggested putting in two trees here and even specially transplanted them.”
At his words, Ruan Fuxi couldn’t help but sneer inwardly. It seemed they were intentionally set up to bring misfortune to the Ruan family.
