While handling her tasks, Guo Xue's gaze turned towards Lin Fan. She noticed that his face was particularly radiant, handsome, and elegant. She found herself staring intently at him, and after a while, she became somewhat entranced.
After Lin Fan finished what he was doing, he looked over at Guo Xue and saw her fixated on him. He paused for a moment, touched his face, and asked, "Auntie, is something wrong with me?"
Guo Xue's cheeks instantly flushed crimson. Lin Fan continued to inquire, "Auntie?"
Flustered, Guo Xue replied, "No, no, it's nothing. I just want a drink."
"I'll go get it!" Lin Fan said as he walked outside. After fetching a bottle of drink from the common area, he returned and placed it on the table. "Auntie, here you go."
Guo Xue shyly smiled at Lin Fan and said, "Thank you."
Lin Fan gently responded, "It's nothing."
Guo Xue's face was still flushed as her heart raced wildly. After stealing a shy glance at Lin Fan, she quickly shifted her gaze away. Lin Fan remained oblivious to her unusual behavior.
Once they settled on the sofa, Lin Fan picked up a manual and continued reading. Guo Xue diverted her attention from him and took a sip of her drink before resuming her work. However, she felt increasingly uncomfortable and particularly tense—a faint sense of unease washed over her.
Taking a deep breath, she looked at Lin Fan and said, "It's noon; shall we go have lunch?"
Lin Fan stood up and smiled, "Sure."
Guo Xue pursed her lips and softly asked, "What do you want to eat?"
Lin Fan gazed into Guo Xue's eyes and replied, "Whatever you eat, I'll eat."
Guo Xue's delicate face softened as she said, "I usually eat at the cafeteria."
Lin Fan chuckled, "Sounds good."
With that, the two of them stood up and walked downstairs.
The cafeteria of the Zheng Group was quite nice, even considered lavish. It wasn't expensive either. After Lin Fan and Guo Xue each filled their plates with food, they sat down to enjoy their meal.
Lin Fan watched Guo Xue's beautiful face, inhaling the fragrance that wafted from her. He asked, "Auntie, have you found someone?"
"What?" Guo Xue asked curiously.
Lin Fan smiled and clarified, "I mean, in terms of your personal life."
"Oh?" Guo Xue's face immediately flushed as she glanced nervously to the side. "Keep your voice down."
Lin Fan quickly responded, "Oh right, I forgot."
"It's fine," Guo Xue said with a sly smile. "You really are silly!"
And so, they continued to savor their meal. Guo Xue sighed and said:
"Let's wait until Coco goes to college!" Lin Fan said with a smile.
"Sure," came the reply.
At that moment, Lin Fan's gaze fell on Guo Xue's high heels. "Auntie, you’re still wearing such high heels? Aren't you tired?"
A hint of fatigue appeared on Guo Xue's delicate face as she replied, "I am a little tired."
Lin Fan, feeling a pang of sympathy, said, "Let me give your feet a massage later."
Upon hearing this, Guo Xue's cheeks flushed instantly. She whispered, "Alright."
Lin Fan smiled slightly.
Half an hour later, after they finished eating, the two of them headed upstairs. Once they reached the office, Lin Fan invited Guo Xue to sit on the sofa.
Then, he knelt down on the floor and gently held her ankle, slowly removing her high heels. After that, he sat on the sofa as well, taking her small feet and placing them on his lap.
Lin Fan began to massage the smooth soles of Guo Xue's feet with his fingers, applying gentle pressure and kneading them softly.
