In an instant, the feeling of unease in Kuo Yuer's heart vanished completely, replaced by a profound sense of security. At that moment, the employees in the department also showed no signs of dissatisfaction. After all, Kuo Yuer was distributing twenty thousand for each person. Moreover, this task was simple—just two or three days to complete. Earning twenty thousand for such an easy job was indeed a great deal!
Lin Fan stared at his computer, and when he saw that the program had finished running, a smile spread across his face as he said, "Done." With a press of the Enter key, he saved his work and glanced at the time. It was four o'clock. Lin Fan stood up and headed downstairs.
Upon arriving at the transfer station, Lin Fan got into a car and made his way to Kuo's Group. After getting off at the station, he noticed two people standing on the opposite platform: a burly man with a dark complexion and another with a delicate, fair face. Lin Fan took a quick look but didn’t pay them any mind as he walked towards the lobby of Kuo's Group.
Once inside, Lin Fan sat down in a chair and waited.
"Goodbye," Kuo Yuer waved her hand to a female employee before heading towards the elevator.
She entered the elevator and pressed the button for the first floor. As the elevator descended, she felt a sense of anticipation. Upon exiting, she spotted Lin Fan in the lobby.
A smile spread across her face as she called out, "Lin Fan, dear brother!"
Lin Fan looked up and replied, "Aunt Yu'er."
Yu'er’s expression darkened momentarily as she lowered her head, feeling shy. She approached Lin Fan and took hold of his arm, leading him outside.
"What's wrong?" Lin Fan asked curiously.
Yu'er rolled her eyes and said, "In front of so many people, calling me Auntie... I still have my pride!"
Lin Fan awkwardly responded, "But you are my aunt!"
Yu'er shot him a glare and retorted, "Shut up."
Immediately, Lin Fan fell silent. However, he couldn’t help but feel comfortable with Yu'er holding onto his arm.
When they arrived at the bus station, Cao Chong and Wang Xiang turned their gazes toward Yu'er. As they noticed her blushing and mature demeanor, both of their eyes lit up with interest.
Lin Fan didn’t know these two individuals, so he remained quiet. He glanced at Yu'er and said, "Sister, your figure is truly..."
"Hmph," Yu'er tilted her head proudly and replied, "Of course!"
Her gaze turned towards the two men in the distance.
When she saw Cao Chong, her expression darkened for a moment, but she remained silent. She thought to herself, "Is this really happening?"
Wang Xiang said with a gloomy tone, "Didn’t you say she was alone?"
Cao Chong's face fell as he replied, "I don’t know when she started dating someone."
Wang Xiang asked with displeasure, "Is she still single?"
Cao Chong whispered, "No, she's not!"
Sighing, both of them expressed their frustration.
When the bus arrived, Lin Fan and Kui Yuer got on. They took their seats together. Kui Yuer sat next to Lin Fan, her pretty face adorned with a sweet smile.
Lin Fan looked at Kui Yuer and asked, "Aunt Yuer, what are you smiling about?"
With a melodious voice, Kui Yuer replied, "I never imagined that one day someone would come to pick me up!"
Lin Fan reached out and held Kui Yuer's small hand, their fingers interlocking as he said, "Then I’ll come every day."
"Ah!"
