Guo Xue lay on the bed, unable to fall asleep no matter what. Every time she closed her eyes, Lin Fan's figure would appear in her mind. His every smile and frown replayed vividly. She recalled the times Lin Fan was angry, the moments he looked wronged, and even the times he chuckled to himself while gazing at her.
She pursed her lips and murmured softly, "What’s wrong with me?" With a sigh, she sat up and looked outside, staring into the night. Taking out her phone, she sent Lin Fan a message asking, "Are you asleep?" After waiting for a while with no reply from him, she sighed again and lay back down. After tossing and turning for an hour, she finally managed to drift off to sleep.
Lin Fan opened his eyes and glanced at the time. It was seven in the morning. He quickly washed up and headed next door. The day before, he had come up with a simple game called "Happy Elimination." Upon arriving at Li Yuer's house, he looked around but didn’t see her, so he walked toward her bedroom.
Gently pushing the door open, he found Li Yuer lying on the bed with her mouth slightly open, drool glistening as it trickled from her lips. It was particularly enticing. Lin Fan swallowed hard and crouched down beside her, gazing at her delicate face.
Li Yuer let out a comfortable sigh as she opened her eyes and smiled. "You, how did you get into my room?"
She showed no signs of fear and continued, "I was cooking."
Standing up, she walked towards the door. Lin Fan reached out and took her small hand, saying, "Auntie, I need your help."
A gentle smile appeared on Li Yuer's pretty face as she asked, "What do you need?"
Lin Fan replied seriously, "I need you to design something for me."
After saying this, he pulled out his phone and transferred one hundred thousand to Li Yuer, saying, "The designers will split this money."
Li Yuer glanced at the screen, her mouth agape. "That's ten thousand for each person!"
Lin Fan paused for a moment and asked her, "There are only four people in total?"
"Yes," she confirmed.
Lin Fan smiled wryly and said, "I'll give you half."
Li Yuer laughed and replied, "Thank you, Boss!"
With that, she walked outside, saying, "Wait for my news!"
After preparing breakfast for the two of them and finishing their meal, Li Yuer headed downstairs. As she left the community, a gaze fixed firmly on her. This person stared intently at Li Yuer as if trying to see through her clothes.
Cao Chong smirked as he said, "At last, I've found you, woman."
He chuckled softly, "From today onward, I will enjoy you every day."
Cao Chong's gaze was fixed on Li Yuer's silhouette, his eyes tracing her figure. Once she was out of sight, his gaze slowly withdrew as he muttered, "Damn. She really is tempting!"
He pulled out his phone and dialed a number, saying, "Brother Wang, I've found her. Yes, it's her—the one who's so enticing."
Meanwhile, at the office that day, Li Yuer felt an inexplicable restlessness. A faint sense of discomfort lingered in her heart. So, she took out her phone and sent a message to Lin Fan, asking, "Can you come pick me up after work?"
At that moment, Lin Fan was busy designing a game. When he saw the message, he quickly replied, "Sure!"
