Guo Xue picked up a piece of braised pork and placed it in Lin Fan's bowl.
Lin Fan turned to Guo Xue with a sweet smile and said, "Thank you, Auntie."
"You're welcome, just eat," she replied.
Lin Fan took a bite and was instantly captivated by the tender, flavorful taste.
With a dreamy expression, he said, "Auntie, this is really delicious."
Guo Xue's cheeks flushed slightly as she responded, "If it's good, then eat more."
Lin Fan nodded eagerly and said, "Mm, thank you, Auntie."
He then began to savor the dish with great enthusiasm.
Zheng Keke watched Lin Fan curiously. After taking a bite of her own food, she remarked, "Is it really that good? It seems pretty average to me!"
Lin Fan replied seriously, "It's super delicious! Really, it's especially fragrant."
Flattered by Lin Fan's praise, Guo Xue felt a bit shy and said, "Just eat, just eat."
As she ate, she continued to serve Lin Fan more dishes. He happily accepted everything she offered.
"Have some soup," Guo Xue said as she handed him a bowl of soup.
Lin Fan took another sip and exclaimed, "It's good! So good!" He giggled.
Seeing Lin Fan's silly expression made Guo Xue smile genuinely.
This was a delightful lunch.
After an hour of eating, Lin Fan went upstairs to help Zheng Keke with her studies. As he came down, he noticed the master bedroom door was slightly open. Approaching the doorway, he called out, "Auntie."
At that moment, Guo Xue was wearing a fitted skirt. When she saw Lin Fan standing at the door, she quickly turned away, presenting him with her back and said, "You... you should go out first."
"Okay, sorry Auntie," Lin Fan replied, his face flushing slightly as he stepped back and closed the door behind him.
That little rascal! Guo Xue thought to herself as her cheeks turned crimson from embarrassment. Lin Fan hadn’t seen anything inappropriate; it was more about the feeling of having her privacy invaded. It wasn’t anger; it was shyness—she even felt too bashful to look Lin Fan in the eye.
"Auntie's skin is really nice!" Lin Fan thought as he envisioned Guo Xue's back. It was as smooth and white as jade, reminiscent of a perfectly steamed white bun.
He sighed inwardly, thinking, "If I could have a wife with even a third of Auntie's qualities, that would be wonderful!"
After changing her clothes, Guo Xue came out and asked, "Are you done?"
Lin Fan's gaze turned towards Guo Xue, and for a moment, he was captivated by her figure in a fitted skirt.
He stood there, momentarily speechless, and stammered, "Auntie, you, you, you..."
Guo Xue's cheeks flushed slightly as she asked, "What’s wrong?"
Taking a deep breath, Lin Fan replied, "Nothing, nothing."
With a playful smile, Guo Xue teased, "Look at you, even starting to stutter around Auntie!"
In a hushed tone, Lin Fan complimented her, "Auntie, you’re truly beautiful."
Guo Xue's lips curled into a smirk as she inquired, "What part is beautiful?"
Lin Fan answered candidly, "Your figure and your looks; everything about you is beautiful. There’s not a single thing that isn’t."
"Hmph," Guo Xue said softly, "You really know how to flatter someone. Alright, let Auntie take you downstairs."
"Okay," he agreed.
As they made their way down the stairs together, suddenly Guo Xue slipped.
"Ah!" she exclaimed as she began to fall.
