Inside the police station, a few people lowered their phones after noticing Lin Yuan had stopped. They were all waiting for him to speak.
"I've rewritten the firewall code," Lin Yuan said as he stood up. "There should be some changes on the other side as well."
"Huh? What about the people here?" one of them asked. Although they weren't as skilled as Lin Yuan, they could see that there were others inside the firewall besides themselves.
"The other side has pulled out the network cable. I can't just crawl over it, can I?" Lin Yuan replied. If he could capture someone, he wouldn't let it go so easily.
A hint of regret flashed in the eyes of a technical officer.
"We should go talk to Team Leader Zhang now. If it's just a simple upgrade, there's a good chance we can still make it work this time."
"Alright."
After leaving that area, Lin Yuan and Zheng Yunyin headed towards the archive room. On the way, Zheng Yunyin was curious about when Lin Yuan had learned computer skills.

"Xiao Zheng, Yuan Xiao's parents are a bit agitated. Do you want to go check on her?" a police officer walking in said upon seeing Zheng Yunyin.
"There are fewer female officers over there, and since Yuan Xiao is a girl, it's better to have a female officer with her."
"Yuan Xiao?" Lin Yuan stopped in his tracks. "Then I'll go take a look too; after all, I brought her here."
"Of course, that would be great."
When the two arrived at Yuan Xiao's location, they heard a couple loudly berating the short-haired girl, their words harsh as if she had truly done something unforgivable to her family.
Facing their accusations, Yuan Xiao remained calm and composed.
"What are you doing?" Lin Yuan stepped forward, casting an unfriendly glance at the couple.
"You must be the officer who brought my daughter in!" The couple realized that these officers were looking for Lin Yuan and disregarded everyone else as they rushed towards him.
"I’m telling you, bringing my daughter in was absolutely justified! We raised her with so much effort, and if she doesn't feel grateful for it, that's one thing. But now she's turned into a murderer and doesn’t want her brother to have a good life either!"
Zheng Yunyin listened and felt that something was off.
She stepped forward.
"Your daughter has been under a lot of psychological pressure. Can you please control your emotions?"
"And we didn't bring you here just to see Yuan Xiao."
However, this admonition did not receive a positive response, as the parents stared wide-eyed at Zheng Yunyin.
"This officer, we are not speaking to you. Who are you?"
Zheng Yunyin exchanged a glance with the two officers, both sharing a helpless smile.
At that moment, Lin Yuan spoke up: "The police station called you here not only to let you see your daughter but also to ask about the injuries on her."

"Has the guest list for the banquet come out yet?"

At that moment, in his office, Director Guan received a phone call.
When he heard that there were information technology talents at his police station, he thought of everyone he could but still couldn’t figure out who it was.
The person on the other end seemed to imply that he should wait as someone would be sent over.
This whole operation left Director Guan uncertain even after hanging up; he still didn’t understand what the call had been about.
