Lin Yao knew they would definitely need to verify the authenticity of her story, so she nodded in agreement. 0

Once on the spaceship, two soldiers approached her to inquire about the details of the incident. 0

"Although the attackers did not possess any abilities, they were Level Six body practitioners. With your capabilities, you probably couldn't defeat him, right?" one of them asked. 0

"You must have heard about the discovery of the Level Twelve beast bones in the Dark Canyon?" the other added. 0

The two exchanged glances and nodded. 0

"The discovery of the Level Twelve beast bones was reported by me. I happened to be on-site when the bones were excavated, and I was then invaded by the beast's spiritual entity. Everyone present knows this; you can ask anyone for confirmation," Lin Yao explained. 0

Before they could respond, she continued, "Although being invaded by a spiritual entity was a crisis, I eliminated it, which brought many benefits. My physical foundation has improved, and my mental strength has significantly increased. However, it wasn't until I fought with the mountain weasel at night that I realized not only had my mental strength increased, but I must have also awakened a mental ability!" 0

As she described her experience, the two listened intently while using their devices to contact others and verify her claims. 0

"Did you really digest the beast's spiritual entity?" one of them asked. 0

Lin Yao nodded confidently. "Of course! Otherwise, how could I have awakened a mental ability? It's been nearly two years since the discovery; this beast must have died long before that. After such a long time, even the strongest beast would have dissipated. Otherwise, it wouldn't have been able to invade my human spirit in public!" 0

After asking a barrage of questions and confirming her story late into the night, they finally allowed Lin Yao to rest. 0

"You can rest on the spaceship for now. Once everything is confirmed from above, you will be able to leave," one soldier said. 0

"Okay!" Lin Yao replied obediently. 0

Fortunately, the examiners worked quickly. The next morning, they notified her that her story had been confirmed and she could leave. 0

"Wait!" she called out. 0

The examiner looked at her in confusion. "Do you have something else?" 0

"Because of the military spy incident, I've been delayed for so long and was also frightened. Shouldn't you compensate me for this?" she asked. 0

"What kind of compensation do you want?" he inquired. 0

"My request isn't high; just use the spaceship to take me part of the way. Otherwise, I won't make it in time for my exam." 0

The examiner hesitated for a moment before nodding. "Your request isn't unreasonable; we'll take you to the end of the Qingcang Mountain Range." 0

Lin Yao recalled the exam map and realized that with her speed, it would take at least a day and a half to reach her destination on foot. This arrangement was indeed considerate. 0

She quickly bowed her head in gratitude. "Thank you, examiner!" 0

After being transported by spaceship to the end of Qingcang Mountain Range and landing safely, Lin Yao immediately began her rapid journey onward. 0

As night fell around seven or eight o'clock, the darkness enveloped the surroundings, prompting Lin Yao to finally stop. She was just about to search for a safe place to spend the night when suddenly, a branch came crashing down from above. 0

Lin Yao sensed the sound of the wind and instinctively dodged. Looking up, she saw a person bound in vines, resembling a cocoon, peering down at her with a pleading smile. He shook his examination wristband, and on the glowing screen that popped up, four large characters flashed: "Help me, 100,000." 0

Money still held some allure for Lin Yao; after all, her uncle had drained all the profits from their original shares. Now that she had taken over this body with a new soul, she had no intention of returning to that villa to avoid being recognized. To live alone in this world, she certainly needed money. 0

Rescuing this person would earn her 100,000 star coins, instantly igniting her motivation. She quickly gestured to him before carefully examining the vine that ensnared him. With a solid academic background and a clear memory of botany, it didn't take long for Lin Yao to identify the vine as a beginner-level Binding Vine. 0

The Binding Vine was known for its strong resilience but bore no fruit and had little medicinal value. Its only skill was binding people, making it quite common across various planets. Logically speaking, anyone familiar with this plant shouldn't have been caught in its grasp. At the very least, if one had a weapon on hand, they could easily escape even if bound. 0

Given how simple this situation seemed, there was no way that the student above couldn't get down from there. However, as these thoughts crossed her mind, Lin Yao hesitated in her decision to help. 0

Just then, she felt a rush of foul wind coming from behind her and rolled away instinctively. Almost immediately after, she sensed something lunging at her from the front. Reacting swiftly, she used wood manipulation to summon a sturdy vine that wrapped around a branch and propelled herself into the air, delivering a powerful kick toward the source of the foul wind. 0

Her kick landed solidly, sending whatever it was flying two meters away with a painful yelp. Though it seemed like an elaborate series of actions, it all happened in mere seconds. 0

Then she heard the boy above exclaim urgently that it was a Shadow Wolf. 0

"Why didn't you say so earlier? I almost got ambushed!" Lin Yao replied irritably. 0

"Hey, you should have read the whole message!" the boy retorted defensively. 0

In an instant, a circle of glowing green eyes appeared around them, and Lin Yao dared not divert her attention to argue with him any longer. 0

The Shadow Wolves were at a high level, but since the star had been designated as an examination planet, the military had cleared out many of the beasts on this planet, controlling their levels to a manageable range and keeping their population below a certain number. 0

Shadow Wolves excelled in speed and possessed a hint of dark attributes; they typically relied on shadows to conceal their forms while launching attacks. The Shadow Forest they were currently in was denser with trees and overall darker, making it an ideal habitat for the Shadow Wolves. 0

There were too many wolves, and with poor visibility at night, fighting on the ground was not advantageous. Lin Yao decided to climb up a tree instead. 0

"What are we going to do now? Are we just stuck here?" a boy asked, worry evident in his voice. 0

"You’re stuck; I’m not!" Lin Yao replied nonchalantly as she selected a giant tree. She wove herself a hammock from vines at a fork in the branches and lay back contentedly. 0

The boy was reassured by her leisurely demeanor and remarked brightly, "What a beautiful display of wood abilities! Sister, can you get me out of this vine? I’ll pay extra." 0

In light of his offer, Lin Yao readily agreed, saying, "I thought you felt safer in there!" 0

With that, she jumped onto the tree he was on and, before the vines could react, grabbed hold of them and used her powers to launch him onto a nearby tree. 0

Finally free from his cocoon, the boy stretched happily and introduced himself. "Hi, I’m Meng Xingchen from Yunmeng Star. What about you?" 0

"Lin Yao," she replied briefly before leaping back to the giant tree to add a canopy to her hammock. 0

"Hey, Sister Yao! Take me with you! I’m scared alone!" Meng Xingchen called out as he watched her leave. 0
