When breaking through the limits of the realm, the exotic beasts need to fly into space to undergo the baptism of cosmic energy. This baptism technique allows them to advance into Void Beasts, enabling them to roam freely in space. However, failure in this process can lead to physical collapse.
The White-scaled Flood Dragon attempted to ascend to become a Void Beast but failed during the baptism, resulting in its body collapsing and ultimately dying in the deep pool.
