A transfer letter arrived at the Annan County Education Committee, and Comrade Zhang Qiang was reassigned to the Annan County Government Office. Not only were Ouyang Xiaxue, Mao Na, and Li Shengnan overjoyed, but some others sensed a different implication.

County Committee Secretary Li Gaoqiang, newly appointed Deputy Secretary Chen Hanjie, County Head Jiang Ruming, and Vice County Head Mao Weiguo all attended the briefing session.
Deputy Secretary Chen Hanjie believed that while direct responsibility should be dealt with according to regulations, it should not be expanded or extended beyond the specific case. However, newly appointed Vice County Head Comrade Mao Weiguo expressed a differing opinion. Further investigation revealed that Sima Huangfeng was the nephew of Qi Zhengtai, head of the Annan County Bureau of Industry and Commerce, while Qi Jiancai was his cousin. Their employment procedures were also found to be irregular.
During Deputy Town Head Mao's speech, Secretary Li Gaoqiang nodded frequently in agreement, and County Head Jiang Ruming expressed his support as well. There was no need for a formal vote.
Ultimately, it was decided that the two directly responsible individuals, Sima Huangfeng and Qi Jiancai, would be dismissed. Bureau Chief Qi Zhengtai would bear undeniable leadership and management responsibility; he would receive a warning and be relieved of his position as head of the Commerce Administrative Bureau, being reassigned as deputy director of the public letters and visits office in Annan County.
Shortly thereafter, Vice County Head Comrade Weiguo led a team to conduct research at Niu Huahua's base located in Laogu Township. They listened to work reports from both Niu Huahua and Laogu Township government officials and particularly praised Comrade Feng Decai's efforts.
In early March, Hu Ruoyun arrived in Annan County City to drop Mao Na off at Jiangbei Postal and Telecommunications School in Jiang City. As they were about to get into the car, Mao Na hugged Hu Ruoyun tightly in front of her mother. After sending off her daughter, Zhang Xiuzhen earnestly told the somewhat lost-looking Hu Ruoyun: "Xiao Hu, Mao Na is going to college now. Hu Ruoyun nodded at Zheng.

Zhang Qiang's father-in-law finally accepted his daughter's choice and reality. He poured his heart into organizing this wedding ceremony and certainly spent a considerable amount of money as well. During the ceremony, the bride's well-dressed parents took the initiative to invite the groom's awkward and rustic parents onto the stage to participate in the tea ceremony and address-changing rituals. The bride's mother cried uncontrollably; her daughter had endured so much over the years!

That evening, Li Shengnan pulled Mao Na into the bridal chamber. She teasingly said to Zhang Qiang, “Hey, groom! You better take it easy tonight; don’t crush my nephew…”
Zhang Qiang turned beet red while Ouyang Xiaxue playfully hit her.
Being of similar age, Yao Wei looked at their happy expressions with envy.
After a lively and joyful day passed, noticing that it was getting late, a slightly tipsy Li Shengnan grabbed Yao Wei’s hand: “Let’s go! A moment of intimacy is worth a thousand gold! We shouldn’t delay this couple’s good fortune.”
Then she teasingly asked Yao Wei, “Are you envious?”

Li Shengnan continued asking, “Are you jealous?”
Yao Wei answered seriously, "Jealousy!"
Li Shengnan took his hand and placed it on her face. "Let's go, Sister is ready to give herself to you!"
Yao Wei felt so happy that he almost fainted. He didn't even bother to say goodbye to Hu Ruoyun and Mao Na, and just embraced Li Shengnan and left.

Mao Na's confidence grew as she watched Li Shengnan and Yao Wei act lovey-dovey. She challenged them, "What are you two women so proud of? Our Hu Ruoyun predicted during Lunar New Year that your little strongman will soon turn over a new leaf! And that Qi from the Commerce Bureau is bound to have bad luck soon; even the director from the Education Committee will eventually face setbacks..."
Ouyang Xiaxue and Li Shengnan scoffed in unison, "Pfft! Your black charcoal will become a deity!"
But Zhang Qiang took it seriously. He poured drinks for Yao Wei and Hu Ruoyun and said earnestly, "I believe it!"
Seeing everyone's surprised expressions, he continued, "Vice County Head Mao said: Xiao Hu is no simple character; you should keep in touch!"
Ouyang Xiaxue was convinced but couldn't resist teasing him. "That's just your father-in-law liking his son-in-law more and more!"
As the gathering was winding down, Mao Na leaned closer to Li Shengnan and whispered, "So tell me, what does it taste like?"
Li Shengnan remained calm and unhurried. "Want to know?"
Mao Na nodded eagerly. "Yes."
