"How dare you, Mai Guoliang! I have evidence, and I'm going to sue you in court!"
I immediately called security to have the two of them removed. I announced that Wang Fugui was fired.
"On what grounds can you fire me? I'm the son of Mai Dacheng! Who do you think you are?" Wang Fugui was furious.
I smiled. "Just because I am Mai Guoliang. This company belongs to me, and I can fire whoever I want!"
"You..." Wang Fugui's face turned red with anger.
Wang Meili, on the other hand, looked quite pleased with herself. "Don't worry, son. Mom has evidence. Let's go home and get it. We'll see each other in court!"
Unexpectedly, Wang Meili really did sue me. Two days later, I received a summons from the court. I laughed as I looked at the document in my hand.
On the day of the hearing, I arrived at the courthouse on time. Wang Meili was full of confidence, seemingly ready to reclaim everything her son had lost.
"Don't worry, son. Once I get the company back, I'll have all those who bullied us fired. Those security guards who kicked us out will be the first ones to go!"
Wang Fugui smiled back at her, "Thank you, Mom. You're the best."
The opposing lawyer presented a series of evidence first, including chat records, photos of the two together, and tickets from their travels.
"We also have additional evidence," the opposing side said as they produced an authentication certificate.
"This is the hair analysis from the house where Mr. Mai Dacheng once lived, confirming that Mr. Mai Dacheng is biologically related to Wang Fugui," the lawyer stated respectfully to the judge.
"In summary," he continued, "we request the court to freeze Mr. Mai Dacheng's estate and allocate half to our client, the Plaintiff."
"Does the defendant have any objections?" the judge inquired.
"I do," I replied immediately.
"Speak," the judge nodded.
"I know my father had an improper relationship with Wang Meili," I stated directly.
"Objection!" Wang Meili's lawyer protested.
"You are maliciously insulting my client!"
"The objection is noted; defendant, please be mindful of your words," the judge said, nodding at me. "Continue."
"Alright," I nodded.
"Then may I ask, what do you call someone who cohabits with another person while fully aware they are already married?"
"That..." the opposing lawyer hesitated before quickly responding, "We only began cohabiting after Mrs. Mai Dacheng passed away."
"Oh, so Wang Fugui was born after they started living together?"
"That..." The lawyer fell silent.
I let out a cold laugh. "To claim that Wang Fugui is related to my father based solely on a paternity test seems rather hasty."
"How can you prove that hair belongs to my father?" I countered.
"That..."
"Even if the hair indeed belongs to Wang Fugui's biological father, it doesn't necessarily mean it's my father, does it?" I pressed on.
The opposing lawyer appeared somewhat anxious and hurriedly defended, "Your Honor, my client insists that the submitted samples indeed belong to Mr. Mai Dacheng."
Wang Meili also chimed in excitedly, "That's right, Your Honor! I swear those hairs are definitely Mai Dacheng's! Please believe us!"
The judge rapped his gavel. "Silence."
The judge, after reviewing some documents, turned to me and asked, “Mr. Mai Dacheng has already been cremated, correct?”
Before I could respond, Wang Meili interjected.
“Yes, he was cremated on purpose! As soon as the surgery was over, he was sent straight to the crematorium!
“And my husband’s ashes haven’t even been buried yet!”
“We Chinese believe in being laid to rest in peace; how could a son act like this?”
“Moreover, I suspect he deliberately abandoned treatment for my husband. He is a murderer!”
