"Mengying, wake up quickly! It's been so long, why aren't you waking up?"
It hurts so much, why is it so dark here? Who is calling me? The voice sounds so familiar.
Li Mengying trembled as she opened her eyes, only to be met with Lin Xiaoxiao's concerned gaze and a frightened expression.
Her head ached as Li Mengying struggled to sit up.

In the first two weeks of the zombie outbreak, the government was barely able to maintain order and information dissemination.
But soon the government couldn't contain the news and issued an official website notice.
Apocalyptic era.
After receiving the government's response, panicked citizens of X City began to flee in all directions. In just six hours, X City lost communication and experienced traffic congestion, becoming a place of collapse.
Apart from X City, those who tried to escape from the quarantined X City also brought panic and virus transmission to other cities and countries. As a result, the zombie craze began to erupt in various corners of the world.
The world started to descend into chaos, gradually becoming a frenzy of bloodthirsty zombies.
At first, Li Mengying and Lin Xiaoxiao were just college students in X City, and they didn't know what was happening in X City. They just followed the counselor's arrangement to stay in the dormitory, waiting for the daily feeding by the security personnel.
It wasn't until one day when a zombie outbreak occurred in the X City hospital, and people in the streets and alleys started to flee, that these students realized the seriousness of the situation.
People running out of the hospital were bitten on the neck by the zombies chasing them from behind. The surrounding zombies smelled the fresh blood and began to turn the beads in the red blood circle, then turned and rushed forward one after another, swarming together to feast on the delicious flesh and blood.
The people were terrified, emitting continuous screams. The noisy sound attracted the attention of the zombies, and soon the zombies lifted their heads, struggling to adjust their uncoordinated bodies to continue chasing after the next delicacy.
Li Mengying and Lin Xiaoxiao and two other roommates were scared to death as they lay on the window of the dormitory watching all this. They dared not move, only hoping that the government would send someone to rescue them. After cowering in the dormitory for more than a week, their food was almost running out, and the closed iron gate downstairs occasionally made a banging sound, which was the sound of zombies gnawing at the door. It wouldn't be long before the dormitory building was also overrun.
Li Mengying proposed to leave here, to find a new shelter and food, but only Lin Xiaoxiao agreed with her and left with her.

When Li Mengying woke up again, a day and night had already passed, and the zombie corpse in the living room had been thrown into the hallway by Lin Xiaoxiao.
"Mengying, you finally woke up... You have no idea, you've been motionless for so long, I was afraid I'd be the only one left."
Just remembered everything, Li Mengying received a bear hug from Lin Xiaoxiao, who was sobbing and whimpering on Li Mengying's shoulder.
