Revenge ended his speech. The entire council chamber was still filled with whispers and discussions. He tidied up the documents in his hand, nodded slightly to the Madam Speaker and other members, and then walked out of the meeting hall. His steps were firm and steady, and an irresistible force surged within him.
At the end of the corridor, a familiar melody came from the portable music player that he had prepared for Iris before he left. As the melody gradually faded, Revenge pushed open the door to the human rest area. Iris was sitting on the sofa, her eyes showing a hint of unease and anticipation. Revenge sat down opposite her and looked at her gently. "Iris, now we can talk. Why were you in my car?"
Iris's eyes seemed slightly flustered, but she took a deep breath and calmly said, "Revenge, my father, old Russell, has gone missing, on the day you went to the council. He was supposed to attend an important meeting, but he suddenly disappeared. I'm very worried and don't know what to do, so I came to find you."
Revenge nodded and comforted her, "Iris, I will help you find your father. I will take you home first, and then I will fully investigate all of this." There was a firm belief in his eyes, a gentleman's promise.
They walked out of the council building, Revenge and Iris driving a black SUV. The third street under the night sky seemed particularly quiet. However, this calm was only the tranquility before the storm. Suddenly, the car shook violently, as if it had been hit hard by something. Revenge slammed on the brakes, and the car door was instantly torn open by a tremendous force, the sound of twisted steel echoing in the night sky. Two tall, strong vampires pounced, their eyes flashing with a bloodthirsty gleam.
Suddenly, a deep voice echoed in Revenge's mind, as if coming from the abyss: "Focus your attention, hold your breath, feel the boiling of your blood." Without thinking, he immediately followed the instructions, holding his breath and feeling the accelerated flow of blood in his body. In an instant, his strength seemed to be activated, surging from his limbs and throughout his body, and his pupils quickly turned deep red.
He had only one goal in his eyes: to protect Iris.
The first vampire pounced, its claws aiming straight for Revenge's throat. Revenge quickly dodged to the side and delivered a powerful punch with his right hand, hitting the vampire's chest hard. A tremendous force erupted instantly, sending the vampire flying like a cannonball, crashing into the wall by the roadside. The wall instantly cracked open, bricks and stones flying, emitting a dull thud.
Another vampire leaped from the back seat, soaring towards Iris. A fierce glint flashed in Revenge's eyes as he leaped up, grabbing the vampire's shoulders and forcefully pulling it down from the air, slamming it hard onto the ground. The vampire let out a painful howl, about to counterattack, but Revenge swiftly pulled out a wooden stake from the car and ruthlessly plunged it into the vampire's heart.
Fresh blood gushed out, and the vampire's body convulsed violently, with an incredulous look in its eyes. Without hesitation, Revenge twisted the stake forcefully with both hands, thoroughly shattering the vampire's heart. The vampire's body gradually weakened and finally collapsed.
The third vampire, unwilling to show weakness, leaped into the air, attempting to launch an attack from above. A cold smile flashed in Revenge's eyes as he quickly jumped up, grabbed the vampire's ankle, and forcefully pulled, slamming it hard onto the ground. The vampire let out a painful roar as its body created a deep pit in the ground.
Revenge didn't give the vampire any chance to catch its breath. He quickly approached, grabbed the vampire's shoulders with both hands, and forcefully tore its body in half. Blood splattered, staining the ground red in an instant. Another vampire attempted to sneak attack from the side, but Revenge calmly dodged to the side and picked up a broken stake, thrusting it into the vampire's neck.
As the stake pierced the neck, a hint of fear flashed in the vampire's eyes. Revenge twisted it forcefully, and the vampire's head fell with a thud, its body collapsing weakly to the ground.
Iris looked at the scene in horror, with both fear and concern in her eyes. She couldn't believe the sight of Revenge in front of her, as the power that erupted from him seemed to have turned him into a completely different person. Revenge stretched his arms and felt the power gradually returning to calmness. He wiped the rain off his face and calmly said, "I'm so tired." At the same time, his eyes returned to their normal color.
Just then, that deep voice sounded in his mind again: "You have used your power well, Revenge. You are a qualified vampire."
Revenge felt a dizzy spell, his vision went black, and his body lost consciousness. His last memory was the figure of Iris running towards him. When he woke up, he found himself lying in an elegant and delicate little house, surrounded by a warm glow.
Looking around, he noticed that both he and Iris were lying naked in bed...
