Having distanced himself from Chen, Chen Li felt that even the air was fresh and comfortable.
He looked around and saw the valley shrouded in mist, with exotic flowers and plants everywhere, the Spiritual Energy so rich it seemed almost tangible. Even that guy Chen was hiding in the distance, clearly coveting the treasures of heaven and earth in this valley, hoping to reap the benefits.

Yue Shan nodded in response. With all major factions gathered together, they were bound to see each other frequently. Even if Chen tried to pull something, it would be difficult. Moreover, being so close meant they could support each other at any time.
"Alright. But you all must be careful; there are many beasts deep within these mountains, so don’t let your guard down."

The others were not to be outdone and scattered in different directions. Chen Li smiled and also activated his movement technique.
They had worked hard to cultivate precisely to live well here. Now surrounded by familiar things, even those who were injured felt their spirits lifted. It was as if at that moment, everyone returned to their eighteen-year-old selves.

Chen's expression darkened as he watched Chen Li and others searching throughout the valley, hatred surging within him. "Chen Li, I'll let you enjoy your moment of glory for now!"
"Young Master, we should hurry up; otherwise, all the good stuff will be taken by them!" a disciple from the Holy Spirit Palace urged impatiently.
Chen shot a sidelong glance at the disciple, coldly snorting, "Take it? Do they even have the right?"
The disciple immediately tensed up. "But they've already harvested..."
Chen remained unfazed. "What's the rush? Let them find the good stuff first; then we can take it from them. Isn't that more efficient?"
As he spoke, a glint of malice flashed in his eyes. He ominously commanded, "Keep a close watch on the people from the Imperial Academy, especially that Chen Li. Report back to me immediately if he finds anything valuable! And those filthy beggars—let's give them some trouble; keep them busy!"
The disciples of the Holy Spirit Palace instantly understood and quickly set off to carry out their orders. Many dispersed to secretly monitor every move of the Imperial Academy.
Chen Li naturally noticed the little schemes of the Holy Spirit Palace, but he didn't care. His main purpose for this trip was to search for his mother's whereabouts and think of ways to rescue her; these Spiritual Herbs were merely a bonus.
As time passed, everyone gathered more and more Spiritual Herbs. The ordinary ones were already sufficient for their needs. Chen Li looked at the abundant collection of Spiritual Herbs and couldn't help but gaze toward a distant cliff. Unbeknownst to him, a mysterious force had obstructed his deeper inquiries, leaving him unaware of the true nature of the treasure before him. Moreover, with so many people around, it was not the right time for extensive investigation.
Just as he was contemplating waiting for the crowd to disperse before delving deeper, a sudden and violent sonic boom erupted in the distance. Immediately after, a sharp voice rang out.
A beast!
Chen Li's heart sank as he quickly turned toward the sound. He saw a gaunt old man being pursued by a massive black python. The serpent was covered in hard scales and spewed foul-smelling venom from its mouth, its imposing presence hovering just above the old man's head.
Clearly, the old man stood no chance against the python. As the creature opened its gaping maw, its sharp fangs poised to pierce the old man's skull and body, panic swept through some disciples of the Golden Sun Sect nearby. They fled in terror, showing no intention of helping.
The old man was on the brink of death.
Chen Li recognized him as Mo, a man of modest cultivation who had just reached the peak of the Innate Realm. Mo was typically quiet but always willing to lend a hand; he was a quintessential good-natured person.
In this dire moment, Chen Li wasted no time. He leaped forward, his small frame flickering into position right in front of the giant python.
"Beast, seeking death!" Chen Li exclaimed as he drew his Broken Sword from behind him. With a fierce swing, a sharp sword aura surged forth and struck heavily against the python's body.
Clang!
The sound of metal clashing echoed as Chen Li's sword aura merely left a shallow mark on the python's incredibly tough scales.
Hiss!
The python let out an enraged hiss and turned its attention toward Chen Li, lunging at him with ferocity.
Chen Li did not dare to underestimate it; he swiftly employed his agility to evade. Despite his young age and slight stature, he moved like a wraith, dodging effortlessly under the python's attacks.
Though the beast was fast and powerful, it could not land a single hit on him.
The chase continued between man and beast, each pursuing the other. During one narrow escape from an attack, Chen Li caught sight of several disciples from Holy Spirit Palace nearby. They stood with their arms crossed, watching with amusement and mockery etched across their faces.
One of them called out in a sarcastic tone, "Oh look, isn't that our great hero Chen Li? What’s this? Getting involved again? I hope you can hold on; don’t die too quickly—it wouldn’t be any fun!"
