Chen Li lowered his head submissively, resembling a dog wagging its tail. The several seniors around him were wise and powerful, and he admired them greatly! As long as he could take away these resources, he was confident he would complete the mission!
He stole a glance at the terrified resources, which included his cheap sister, Shen Qingyue, who was trembling in shock. Yet, inside, he felt no turmoil.
Chen Li's actions left the group of Cultivators dumbfounded. They had initially thought they were doomed, but now the situation had taken a turn that felt like a scene from an absurd play.
Shen Qingyue stood at the front of the crowd, watching Chen Li act submissively before the three formidable figures, feeling utterly embarrassed. Sometimes she truly couldn't understand how Chen Li managed to switch to this submissive role so effortlessly. The key was that he could do it so convincingly!
She couldn't help but feel a bit of sympathy for the three major figures. After all, the last one who had been tricked by Chen Li, Bloodshadow Man, was already dead!
The other Cultivators looked at Chen Li with changed expressions. Initially, they were grateful that he had saved their lives; later, they were puzzled about how he was playing the role of a spy! However, now their feelings were more complex.
Although Chen Li insisted they should trust him, there was an odd feeling about how things were unfolding. After all, with the three major figures gathered together, how could they survive unscathed without any effort?
It was truly bizarre! This time, it seemed to all revolve around that acting submissively Chen Li.
Even though everything appeared somewhat absurd, Chen Li had still managed to pull it off. For a moment, they didn't know whether to believe what Chen Li said or not.
"Alright, you little brat, take your resources and get lost!" Blood Butcher waved his hand impatiently as if shooing away a swarm of flies.
"Yes! Yes! I'm leaving right now!" Chen Li nodded and bowed deeply before turning to the crowd and shouting, "Everyone, why are you still standing there? Hurry up and thank our three seniors for sparing us!"
Although everyone felt confused inside, they dared not disobey and hurriedly bowed in gratitude.
"Thank you to the three seniors!"
"Thank you for sparing our lives!"
In an instant, the sound of kowtowing echoed throughout the valley, like waves rising and falling.
Chen Li swaggered ahead, leading the group with his head held high and a proud demeanor. Just then, Blood Bat cast a sinister glance at Shen Qingyue and said, "Kid, you can take the Two-Legged Sheep away, but this girl is quite something; leave her here!"
Chen Li was taken aback by the remark, his flattering smile freezing for a moment. He cursed inwardly, "Blood Bat, you scoundrel! How dare you lay your eyes on my sister! You must be tired of living! Once I grow up, I'll twist your head off and kick it like a ball!"
However, on the surface, Chen Li maintained a respectful smile. "Senior, you truly have an eye for beauty! My sister Shen Qingyue is a rare gem; serving you would be her honor! But..." He deliberately elongated his tone, displaying a hint of hesitation. "After all, I only have one sister. You three seniors are all esteemed figures whom she admires; it wouldn't be appropriate for her to serve anyone. If word got out that the three of you were fighting over a little girl, wouldn't that tarnish your reputations?"
Stealing a glance at Blood Butcher's expression, he continued, "Moreover, I've gone to great lengths to save so many Two-Legged Sheep. If I were to abandon my own sister now, those powerful factions would surely not take it lightly! If they think I'm incompetent and ruin our grand plans, it would be a loss we can't afford!"
Blood Butcher's expression changed as he shot a sharp glare at Blood Bat. "Third Brother, what nonsense are you spouting? Can't you handle such a trivial matter? If you ruin my plans, I'll deal with you first!"
Blood Bat flinched at Blood Butcher's sudden fury and frowned. Though he was reluctant, he couldn't stand against his two elder brothers. He shot Chen Li a fierce glare and thought to himself, "You little brat! Once this is over, I'll make sure to deal with you!"
"Fine then! After we finish our business, I'll have her serve me!"
Seeing this unfold, Chen Li couldn't help but chuckle inwardly: "Serve you? Hmph! You're still too green to compete with me!" But outwardly he feigned fear. "Please calm down, Senior! It was all my fault for not explaining things clearly to the three seniors in advance; that's why this misunderstanding occurred!"
Blood Butcher snorted coldly and ignored Blood Bat as he addressed Chen Li. "Enough! Get lost! If you fail to fulfill your promise, I guarantee that you'll wish you were dead!"
Chen Li's heart raced at the threat but maintained an even more respectful demeanor. "Understood! I will ensure their safe return and help you capture more Two-Legged Sheep as soon as possible!"
With a wave of his hand from Blood Butcher, Chen Li immediately led everyone away. He spoke in a low voice: "Let's go."
"Remember this: if anyone breathes a word about what just happened, I'll unleash the curse within you and turn you to dust!"
Everyone looked at Chen Li and nodded in agreement.
The three great demons watched this scene unfold and couldn't help but nod in approval. This kid may be young, but his mind is truly devious!
Indeed, it was a natural-born demon seed!
As the three watched Chen Li lead the others away, disappearing from their sight, they felt a mix of relief and lingering dread.
After leaving the valley, Chen Li urged everyone to run until they were sure they had shaken off the three demons before finally stopping to catch their breath.
"We made it out!" Chen Li exhaled deeply, collapsing onto the ground.
The others followed suit, sprawled out on the ground, exhausted from their narrow escape. They gasped for air like a group of lambs that had narrowly evaded slaughter.
Just as the joy of escaping the Dungeon began to blossom on their faces, Chen Li's chilling warning extinguished any remaining hope within them like cold water.
"Remember this: if any of you dare to utter a single word about what just happened, I will activate the curse within you and turn you to dust!"
His words echoed in their ears, and the relief they had felt moments ago was swiftly replaced by fear and doubt. For a moment, they began to question whether Chen Li had been serious.
Many turned their gazes toward him, uncertainty hanging thick in the air. The silence spread among the group, creating an oppressive atmosphere that made it hard to breathe.
Finally, one of the closest Cultivators stood up, eyeing Chen Li warily. "Chen Li, did you really place a curse on us?" he demanded in a gruff voice.
At this question, others rose as well, their eyes fixed on Chen Li with piercing intensity and a hint of icy menace.
Seeing their hostile expressions, Chen Li let out a helpless sigh. He rubbed his temples, feeling more drained than when he had been dealing with the three demons.
"Come on, everyone," he said wearily. "Think for a moment! I was just trying to scare them off! You all know whether or not there’s a curse inside you!"
