Faced with the intimidation of Fierce Eagle, Pulsar immediately thrust forward, pushing aside Blue Face Hero's blade that was blocking him. He turned back, intending to use the same trick again, unleashing a powerful electromagnetic pulse that sent a wave of energy radiating outward in an arc. However, this time, Fierce Eagle's armor remained unaffected, standing firm within the domain created by Pulsar.
"It seems that the temporary electromagnetic interference program you created is quite successful, sir," Xiao Ling remarked from within the armor.
"How is that possible?" Pulsar replied, bewildered. "Just moments ago, a single electromagnetic pulse could incapacitate him, and now he can withstand my pulse?"
"If I'm not mistaken, the electromagnetic pulse you generated relies on the Variant current within your body, right?" An Xiaotian called out from inside the Fire Eagle Armor. "You don't think you're the only one in the universe with Variant current, do you? Sorry to burst your bubble, but I have it too. The similar nature of our currents only enhances my absorption of yours. The reason my armor was affected before was largely because I wasn't using my Variant current for power. Now, the entire system of my armor is powered by my Variant current; your electromagnetic pulse has become my new energy source!"
"Ugh—" Pulsar felt as if he had been mocked, a sense of humiliation washing over him. Gritting his teeth, he said, "In that case, don't blame me for being rude!"
Once again summoning a five-meter-long arc of light, Pulsar spun around, creating a storm that surged toward Fierce Eagle. Even with countermeasures now in place, Fierce Eagle dared not confront it head-on. He activated his Thruster and spread his mechanical wings to fly backward while keeping his battle sword in laser gun form, shooting toward the center of the storm.
At that moment, Divine Fist had already risen to his feet, hidden behind nearby greenery as he observed the situation, ready to strike and assist the two.
"Xiaotian, your laser can't penetrate his storm," Blue Face Hero warned. "Change your flight trajectory and come back to me; we need to concentrate our fire on one point to stop his spinning!"
"Understood!" Fierce Eagle immediately adjusted his mechanical wings to tilt right and made a wide arc toward Blue Face Hero. The spinning storm created by Pulsar made him far less agile than Fierce Eagle; he could only clumsily move in another direction. However, the electromagnetic pulses generated within the storm remained highly threatening. Countless arcs of electromagnetic energy rained down upon the two who had huddled together. Without activating their shields for protection, Blue Face Hero was struck and instantly felt a wave of numbness wash over him as pain surged through his body.
Seeing him half-kneeling on the ground, Fierce Eagle quickly stepped forward and deployed a Tian Yuan-class Particle Shield to block the incoming arcs of electromagnetic pulses. But soon enough, the storm drew closer to them; if they didn't reposition themselves soon, they would be swept into it!
"Xiaotian, fire your laser at maximum power at the center of the storm!" Blue Face Hero shouted.
Fierce Eagle complied and shot a laser into the storm; however, it was quickly distorted and vanished due to Pulsar's spinning electromagnetic waves. "It's useless!" Fierce Eagle exclaimed.
Ignoring his pain, Blue Face Hero gritted his teeth against the weakness in his legs and stood up. He summoned hand cannons on both arms and suddenly brought them together; they fused into a new weapon resembling an angular cannon from a sci-fi movie with blue and white armor plating and long rails that showcased its formidable presence.
The "Demon Hunter" class Cosmic Energy combined railgun was one of the weapons unlocked from Nars's Third-Order Space-Time Equipment Library. It fired projectiles formed from condensed Cosmic Energy; its 150-centimeter barrel could accelerate projectiles to 0.001% of light speed—its penetrating power was unimaginable!
Even at just 0.001% of light speed, it reached 3,000 meters per second. Coupled with Fierce Eagle's laser beam creating an entry point into the storm, it was entirely possible to penetrate through and strike Pulsar at its center. With a bright flash and a sound reminiscent of a waking lion's roar echoing from the railgun, a blue-purple energy sphere shot forth toward the opening created by Fierce Eagle's high-energy laser!
The strike proved effective! "Ugh!" Pulsar felt a blue-purple orb approaching within his domain—a sensation akin to being kicked in the gut by a soccer ball overwhelmed him. The storm immediately ceased as he was hit and flew out from it to land far away. Struggling to rise but finding a blackened hole burned into his Battle Armor thanks to Qianshi crystal construction—had it not been for this protection, he would have been pierced through by Blue Face Hero's projectile.
Qianshi crystal was one of the few carbon-based crystals found on Longxing Planet; its hardness was equivalent to one hundred times that of diamond on Earth. As Pulsar touched his abdomen where the hole was located and looked up, he saw Fierce Eagle and Blue Face Hero approaching him.
"What an opportunity!" Divine Fist charged forward from his hiding spot and leaped in for a punch. Pulsar noticed him immediately and raised his arm to block; however, Divine Fist's charged punch struck down with such explosive force that Pulsar's already weakened legs buckled beneath him as he half-kneeled on the ground. Divine Fist pinned him down and twisted his arm behind his back while waiting for Fierce Eagle and Blue Face Hero to arrive before them.
"Should I blow his head off?" Divine Fist asked. "I've already taken care of your Big Guy; I wouldn't mind taking out another."
"Hmph," Pulsar scoffed disdainfully. "Your weapon can't breach my Battle Armor's defenses. Besides, what I have is different from what you possess."
"What’s different?!" Divine Fist shouted angrily. "You're all invaders—what's so different about you?!"
"They are indeed different," Nars interjected. "Ocpie, you are a fallen king; you should understand our feelings better than anyone right now."
Upon hearing Nars's words, the subdued Pulsar seemed to relax somewhat but still struggled against Divine Fist's grip: "I understand perfectly well; however, I must oppose you all! Only by defeating you can I seize this planet and give myself and my loved ones a chance at survival."
"But you haven't fought us with your full strength," Fierce Eagle said. "If you wanted to kill us, you had plenty of opportunities before."
"And you can't possibly be held back by Qin Weishan," Nars gestured for Divine Fist to lower his hands. "Let go; he's just putting on a show. If he wanted to make a move, he would have broken free long ago."
"What?!" Divine Fist couldn't believe that this person would allow himself to be humiliated like this. "No way, just in case, I can't let go."
A drop of liquid fell into Fierce Eagle's orange visor. He looked up and noticed the sky had turned overcast, devoid of sunlight; the gray sky resembled the prelude to night.
"Xiao Ling, what's going on? It was sunny just a moment ago."
"Significant weather instability detected; a heavy rainstorm is imminent. Sir, as far as I know, the higher-ups approved our proposal and deployed weather weapons. This might be the effect of those weapons."
"It's going to rain heavily," Blue Face Hero remarked as he looked up.
"What is rain?" Pulsar asked.
"It's water."
"Water?!"
Pulsar suddenly stood up, and Divine Fist couldn't suppress him! Pulsar pushed him aside and walked up to Fierce Eagle. "Did you deploy weather weapons to win this battle? Do you know that we Longxing People are Silicon-Based Lifeforms and cannot come into contact with water?"
Fierce Eagle stared directly at him without flinching. "Should we still consider the enemy's well-being? Didn't you deploy biochemistry weapons intending to poison everyone? I know you were forced into conflict with us and didn't fight with all your strength; that's why we're speaking so politely now. But an enemy is still an enemy!"
Pulsar was furious. He wanted to express that deploying biochemistry weapons was never his intention. Everything, including opposing Earthlings, was to ensure his wife's survival and to compromise! Now that Earthlings had used weather weapons to unleash a torrential downpour against the Longxing people who surrendered alongside him, he felt angered and helpless, knowing there was nothing he could change anymore.
"Ugh!" Pulsar spread his arms wide, unleashing a powerful electromagnetic pulse wave stronger than ever before, accompanied by a tsunami-like shockwave that knocked over the three Celestial Warriors beside him! This time, even with electromagnetic interference protection, the systems within Fierce Eagle's armor went haywire. Blue Face Hero was the first to regain combat readiness; he immediately stood up and charged energy into his Tianchuang Gloves, thinking Pulsar would continue fighting the three but found he had vanished from the battlefield, leaving only cracks in the ground where he had stood.
"Where did he go?" Divine Fist and Fierce Eagle both stood up in succession. Divine Fist rushed over to ask them, "Okay, I admit it now; I really couldn't hold him down."
"His lover, Xiar," Nars said. "Both of them are Silicon-Based Lifeforms and cannot touch water. But he has Battle Armor for protection; as for his lover Xiar, it's uncertain if she does. He must have left here to find her."
"Isn't she on top of the Song Family Technology Research and Development Company?" An Xiaotian unlocked his helmet and pointed at the towering building behind them, which had a massive white arc reaching up to the sky—a helipad for helicopters. "Lu Sha and Liang Muqi are still up there."
"What are we waiting for? Let's hurry back for support!" Qin Weishan exclaimed as he started running toward that direction.
"You go ahead," Nars told Qin Weishan. "Xiaotian and I have more important matters to attend to."
"What?! What could be more important right now?"
Nars pointed at the sky. Following his gaze, Qin Weishan saw a meteor trailing a red tail plummeting downwards toward the distant ground! Alongside it were the wreckage of the White Emperor fighter jet and the torrential rain beginning to fall.
"Miao Chengmin has fallen from outer space," Nars's expression turned extremely serious. "Ban Sa is about to take action personally."
