"Did you take the gun?" The woman spoke up.
Lin Tianyu felt a pang of nervousness, but he maintained a calm facade and replied, "No, I didn't see anything when I went in. It was completely empty."
The woman continued, "I interrogated several people, and they all said that place is an Arsenal, filled with weapons and ammunition."
Lin Tianyu's heart tightened. He thought to himself, could this woman have figured something out? Yet he still pretended to be composed. "They must have remembered it wrong; it was like that when I went in."
The woman looked at Lin Tianyu, seemingly unconvinced by his words, but she didn’t press further. After a moment, she said, "I have nowhere to go. I feel like I can survive by following you. I want to stick with you!"
Lin Tianyu was taken aback and asked, "Oh? Interesting. First, tell me what you do."
The woman replied, "My name is Chiba Natsuki. I escaped from the Island Nation."
Hearing this, Lin Tianyu's eyes widened as he blurted out, "The Island Nation? Is it the same place as Cang? Can you...?"
Chiba Natsuki paused for a moment, her face slightly flushed, and softly said, "Of course I can."
Lin Tianyu couldn't help but exclaim, "Wow."
"The Island Nation is so far away; how did you get here?" Lin Tianyu asked curiously.
"I flew here on a private jet, but due to the snow, I had to make an emergency landing," Chiba Natsuki explained.
Lin Tianyu nodded in understanding and then asked again, "Why did you escape from Dragon Country?"
Chiba Natsuki took a deep breath, a hint of sadness flashing in her eyes as she slowly said, "After the apocalypse, my family was attacked by other families. I was the only one who survived. Since I've always liked Dragon Country culture and learned the language, I decided to escape to Dragon Country."
Her voice carried a faint sorrow and helplessness.
"I see. But what are you doing here?" Lin Tianyu continued to inquire.
Chiba Natsuki bit her lip and whispered, "I came here looking for some firearms for self-defense. I didn't expect to run into you."
Her gaze fell on Lin Tianyu, her eyes shimmering with determination. And for some reason, she felt compelled to follow him.
"No, I don't want the Island Nation girl," Lin Tianyu said with a frown.
"I can do the housework," Chiba Natsuki hurriedly replied.
"Don't," Lin Tianyu shook his head.
"I can protect your family," Chiba Natsuki insisted quickly.
"Don't," Lin Tianyu still shook his head.
"I will show you my special skills," Chiba Natsuki said, blushing.
Lin Tianyu was taken aback for a moment before responding. He took out the Bracelet, but before he could say anything, Chiba Natsuki snatched it from him and put it on.
"I know what this is for. I want to follow you; it will definitely make you feel at ease."
"You're quite sensible," Lin Tianyu nodded.
Then, Lin Tianyu drove Chiba Natsuki back to the villa.
As soon as they entered the villa, the other girls noticed that Lin Tianyu had brought another girl and curiously asked, "Who is this girl?"
"This is someone I picked up during my time at Stolen Snow Wolf Base," Lin Tianyu said slowly.
"Hello everyone, I'm Chiba Natsuki. It's nice to meet you all," Chiba Natsuki greeted politely.
